Chapter 49

As Kelly was taking a peek into the cabin her expression was of pure shock and horror. Sitting in the chair was Kaylin looking all beaten up and her hands and legs were tied and restrained. The guy standing beside Kaylin was not one she had expected and worse of all, it was a face she is very familiar with.

"Father. What are you doing to Kaylin!?" She did not care about any consequences she might get instead she rushed straight into the cabin and confronted the man. Ryder took action as well standing behind Kelly and ensuring that he is of close enough distance to protect her in case anything bad happens, the man in front of them radiates a deadly aura.

"Kaylin? Do you mean this trash? Pft." The man's tone was cold and scornful he said it causing Kelly to become agitated.

"HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT?! KAYLIN IS YOUR DAUGHTER!!??!?" Kelly's voice got louder and louder as she was furious, her body was trembling and her eyes turned bloodshot. Ryder moved closer and his hands landed on both her shoulder, restricting her from doing anything stupid.

"She is now a test subject, I am here today to bring her back home for observation. Kelly now, be good and go home first."

"YOU ARE NOT BRINGING KAYLIN ANYWHERE!" Kelly bellowed and somehow managed to slip out of Ryder's grip, she pounced on the man whom she calls father and began her flurry of attacks.

She knew how tough the opponent is but all logic was thrown out of the window the moment she saw Kaylin all bruised and battered, she did not use her usual technique of fighting where she will clench her hands up into a fist, instead her hands were open in a number 4 method and her hands seem to turn into a water snake as she attacked.

The attacks were being blocked easily or dodged but she still continued with the attacks, aiming for all the vital points in a body but even when her hit lands it was as though there was no effect. The man's expression turned ugly and somewhere in his pocket he took out a device and clicked it. With that click Kaylin who was totally unconscious a minute ago woke up.

"K-Kelly. . ." Her voice was soft but still hearable. Once she spoke, Kelly stopped all her attacks and turned towards Kaylin's direction rushing over to her. Ryder immediately walked over to block the man from attacking Kelly while she was attending to Kaylin. He had wanted to attack earlier on but he couldn't risk the chances of hurting Kelly so all he could do was to provide support if she needed but before he could perform the act of saving a damsel in distress, Kaylin woke up.

"Lin, are you okay? I am a terrible sister, I've failed you." Kelly cried out and was kneeling in front of Kaylin as she started blamed herself.

"Kel, it is alright, I am still in one piece." Kaylin tried to comfort her but it was no use.

"Come on Kaylin, let's go home." The man said in an astringent tone.

Kelly got up and her eyes were shooting daggers at the man, she was close to engaging in a fight again but Ryder stopped her.

"KAYLIN ISN'T GOING ANYWHERE WITH YOU!" Her eyes were filled with deep hatred as she said it.

"Kel, don't be this way, I am sure father is here to save me like how you are saving me now." Kaylin's naive and innocent expression was out on display and it made Kelly even more aggravated as she realizes how the man before her is able to do such horrendous things to his innocent daughter.

"NO LIN, HE WAS THE ONE WHO USED YOU AS A TEST SUBJECT!" As Kelly growled out at Kaylin due to feeling frustrated and furious, it caused Kaylin to shrink back into the chair more as she got scared.

"S-Sorry Lin, I am just furious."

"I-It is o-okay. . . Is it true father? Am I really a test subject?"

"Don't be ridiculous, Kelly betrayed us as well as your other sister Emily, they are trying to turn you against me." The man's expression was now displaying pure shock and hurt as he said those words, he was good at twisting people's words and was now acting the victim.

"Kel, how could you do that. . . Father might be scary at times but he loves us." Kaylin looked towards the man then back at Kelly, her eyes shone with disappointment as she looked at Kelly.

"Lin, you can't possibly mean that. . ." Kelly's heart broke the moment she heard what Kaylin said.

"Father, please help me up, I will go back with you." She looked towards the man as he was now approaching her and untied all the ropes around her.

Kelly wanted to stop her father so badly but she knew that Kaylin will hate her even more if she did that therefore she could only stand there like an idiot looking at her father and her younger sister get up and leave. Kaylin did not even spare her a second glance as she left the cabin, the moment they left, Kelly's facade broke, all those pent up emotions she had hidden deep in her were now spiraling out of control sending her into a hysterical breakdown.

She fell onto the ground crying and Ryder went over and brought her into his tight embrace.

"It will be alright, just let it all out. I am here for you." His voice was soothing as he whispered it into her ears while hugging her.

Her crying lasted for 2 hours before she tires herself out and slowly proceeded to whimper instead, her eyes were getting heavier by the minute and soon she was seeking warmth in Ryder's embrace snuggling up to him as she fell into a deep slumber due to over exhaustion.

Once she fell asleep Ryder carried her princess style out of the cabin and walked towards the bushes where Ted and the rest were hiding.

"Beta." Ted and the rest bowed slightly as they had a look of concern on their faces.

"Don't worry she fell asleep.

" His expression softened as he looked at the girl sleeping in his arms.

"Let's go back."

Everyone nodded and Ted led the way back to the car.

Emily's P.O.V

The sky was getting darker as the day was coming to an end, Alvin brought me back to the pack house and we were now in his room.

"So, did you enjoy the date?" He bit his lower lip in nervousness and asked.

I giggled at his nervousness and thought of how cute he looks. "Yes I did, you don't have to be nervous about it." He shot me a sheepish smile and scratched the back of his ear.

I looked towards the window and saw a beautiful moon peeking out behind the clouds, it wasn't fully night yet but the moon was already evident in the sky. "It looks to be a full moon again tonight."

"Yeah, it seems like it." Alvin chuckled.

I was totally mesmerized by the moon up in the sky and out of nowhere a sharp pain shot through my head, fuzzy figures started appearing in my mind as I was sitting on the bed looking out of the window. My vision turned blurry and everything seemed to have blacked out.
