Chapter 40

Ryder's P.O.V

Once I got back into my room I placed my mate down on the bed and found a handcuff somewhere in the closet, it was a stupid gift Alvin gave me for my 18th birthday, I never once thought I will actually use it but amazingly this is coming in handy now. I handcuffed her hands together and used my blanket to tie her legs up so she wouldn't be able to escape.

I sat on the ground beside my bed and took a few deep breathes trying to calm myself down slowly clearing my mind. Even though I am able to use skills that defy nature but it takes up a lot of mental energy and strength, as I have been locking her soul instead of just destroying it, it takes up double the effort to sustain the skill. But the upside is that my strength increases quickly when it is closer to night time.

I got up from the ground and turn towards my mate looking at her flawless round face. Her usual brownish red eyes currently look lifeless, I sat on the bed beside her and leaned over giving her a kiss on her forehead and without her permission I've decided to mark her.

I kissed her on the lips and made my way down to her neck licking it down till her collarbone. I felt my teeth elongating and once I found the spot, I've plunged my teeth down into her soft supple skin, it felt like a rush of adrenaline. After a moment passed I retracted my teeth that was buried deep in her neck and licked over the 2 puncture holes, it immediately took effect and the holes started closing. Looking at the mark I've left on her it made me feel a sense of achievement and joy. After a moment of looking at the mark I looked her in the eyes and concentrated hard, I felt something clicked and the usual luster of her eyes returned.

"LET GO OF ME!?!?" Not only the usual beauty of her eyes returned but her aggressive nature seemed to have returned as well. She was now sneering at me and trying to break free from the cuffs, she seemed to be struggling badly and it looks more like a worm wiggling around on the bed instead as her legs were tied up tightly as well which I have to give myself a pat on the back for being so awesome at tying knots, watching 50 shades of grey sure did not let me down.

"Mate. . . Kelly. Stop." Even though I do not have the alpha tone suppression but my bloodline aura came into full effect and my mate immediately stopped struggling and glared at me with eyes fuelled with hatred.

"What do you want from me!" She bellowed and I raised my brows looking at her.

"I want you," I smirked and leaned over towards her and forcefully held her in place as she was beginning to struggle, I gave her a soft kiss on the forehead once again and her whole body stiffened.

"Get away from me." Her voice was now cold as ice even though she stopped trying to get free.

"Why not, you stay here tonight, I will go home and let you have a night to think things through and rest today. I will ask someone to send food up. Don't even think about escaping, along the way here I've already cleared out all your weapons and thrown them away, there will be guards around so don't even try. Be good and stay to recuperate, I've just set your soul free so it should still be weak so take a good rest." After saying that I gave her a bright smile I walked to the room door and before I leave, I took out the cuff keys from my pocket and placed it on the closes table to the door before leaving the room and proceeding to lock it. Time was of the essence, by the time things were done it was already quite late into the night, I was starting to get restless and even Ace control over my bloodline was beginning to wane.

"Let's get out of her buddy, we will be back tomorrow," I said to Ace, he grunted in agreement even though we both wanted so badly to bring our mate back home but we couldn't risk injuring her, and if I were to stay over in the pack house, I will bring harm to others.

I ran as quick as my legs could take me and within minutes I was home. "Mom, I'm home."

"Honey, welcome home, hurry down to the cellar room before midnight, it is late already. I've already prepared dinner and placed it on the dining table downstairs. Sorry honey, I hope things will get better, once you've found your mate." I did not want to tell my mom that I've found my mate as I do not want my mom to rush Kelly into giving her a grandchild yet.

"I know the routine mom, don't worry, I will go down now. Go get a good night sleep, nights." I gave her a peck on her cheeks and made my way into the cellar.

Kaylin's P.O.V

Cold. . . That was the only thing that I've been feeling. The guys have been coming in and out of the place to do various test on me, they would take my temperature and take some blood samples from me and all I can do is to sit there as still as a doll without any resistance whatsoever, the first few times I've tried to resist I was being punched in the guts and as I was too weak from the lack of water and food I could not retaliate, my body was aching and the cold wasn't helping. Needles after needles were being injected into me and there were times where I felt that I could no longer hold on. My mind was all fuzzy and my temperature kept fluctuating nonstop, it felt as though I was being thrown into icy water during the coldest harshest winter time, my body couldn't stop shivering.
