Chapter 21

As Alvin is feeling really anxious about getting answers he felt extremely annoyed as he had to attend to another pack before that. He got out of the car and Ricky followed, they made their way to the living area of the pack house and met with alpha Derek and his pack.

"Great to have you here alpha Derek, I am Alvin, my father is out on some pack business and will not be back within the next few days, I've already prepared accommodations for you and your pack, I'm so sorry to hear of what happened, I hope you will enjoy your stay here and rest well to recuperate." Alvin's face had on a clear look of annoyance but once he opens his mouth to speak, it all faded away as if a distant memory, even though he isn't the alpha yet but the aura he exuded felt very strong and others could sense that he was in charge around here.

"Thank you for your hospitality, we won't overstay our welcome no worries." Alpha Derek responded with a pleasant smile and a handshake. Alvin looked towards Ricky mind linking him on what to do and was met with a nod and a few warrior wolves approaching them and leading the pack members from Shadow Claw to their allocated rooms to settle down. During the whole ordeal, Alvin felt a chill down his spine as he felt a pair of eyes staring and him, he looked over to find who was looking at him and he was met with a creepy looking pair of eyes originating from a girl around his age, even though he did not see her in real life before but he saw her in photos on Instagram in some of his classmate's photos, from what he heard, she isn't exactly as innocent and sweet as she looks. If the movie inside out was real, Alvin will be the embodiment of disgust, he felt like that girl was eye raping him and that made him very uncomfortable which raised the feeling of wanting to get out of there more, while she was looking at him so intently he felt as though he was a piece of fresh meat waiting to be chopped on a chopping board, the expression on his face was as if he was in indescribable pain due to being fantasized but the girl seems to be totally oblivious of it and still had on a gleeful look on her.

Once all the pack members of Shadow Claw was settled in Alvin and Ricky rushed back to the car wanting to drive off to their destination, but once they've reached the car they were met with a face palming sight.

"Oh cheese cracker you are so delicious will you marry me~" apparently Ryder was serenading to the pack of cheese crackers he was currently munching away on, the sight alone was simply too funny for even words to describe. Ryder saw Ricky and Alvin and excitedly ask them a question.

"Guys is my singing alright?" His eyes had a weird sparkle in it.

"Yeah sure, you can," Ricky replied sarcastically but Ryder seemed to not notice and replied.

"Oh, I am so awesome! I knew you all would love my singing." His smile was so bright it was even brighter than my future.

"If frogs can sing, so can you." Ricky snickered causing Alvin to choke on his own saliva and Ryder's mouth opened and closed like a fish but nothing seems to be coming out to retaliate what Ricky just said so he pouted and got up from a laying position in the back seat of the car, sat properly and continued munching on his cracker totally ignoring us.

"Let's just go already." Alvin probed and got into the driver's seat while Ricky sat shotgun, once the car started up Alvin stepped hard on the pedal and the car zoomed into the tree infested surroundings, only after about 20 to 30 minutes of driving they finally see the main road and drove straight onto it.

Alvin's P.O.V

"Are we there yet?" Ryder asked for the 100th time.

"No, we aren't, just like how we aren't there yet the previous 2 minutes you asked!?" I felt a headache coming on, bring Ryder they say, it will be fun they say. I don't see any fun in this situation. Ricky was lucky as he was dead asleep with his earpiece plugged on and I am sure it is Ryder proof so he can get a good sleep. While I, on the other hand, have to stay awake and drive while dealing Ryder's constant questions, even though he is smart and is my right-hand man, but times like these make me reconsider my decision and want to just tape him up to the back of the seat and tape up his mouth to keep it sealed.

I switched on the tv in the car and put on the show pixels, "Ryder, watch the show." He was about to whine but once the title of the show was on display he kept quiet and complied while taking a bag of chips and munching on it happily, finally, some peace and quiet at least now I am able to devise a plan on how we are going to get that 'dangerous' witch to give us the information we want, or more like I want.

1 hour went by and all was good as Ryder was entertained.

"NOOOO! CUBERT!"

Due to that sudden shout, I got shocked and stopped the car in the middle of the road and turned around to see what is going on.

Ryder looked at me and blinked twice before realizing the reason I stopped was that of his scream then he gave me a sheepish smile and said.

"Don't worry no one died, actually someone did, Cubert my favorite character from the show died but he came back alive again, so no biggie." I felt myself wanting to just strangle him alive.

"Don't shout like that ever again!? Luckily there wasn't anyone driving on the road now or we might get into a car accident!!" Saying I was furious is an understatement. All I could do is shake my head and turn back around to continue driving. The only wish I have now is to get to our destination alive and in one piece. . .
