Chapter 16

Emily's eyes held a sense of danger, it was as though she was a totally different person from before. As the match was about to begin, Mason felt something wasn't right and just by looking at Emily's perfect stance alone he was already beginning to regret his decision. As soon as the whistle was blown by the teacher, Mason threw all his thoughts to the back of his head not giving it a second thought before pouncing forward throwing a punch at Emily. She dodged swiftly and countered with a punch to the side of his stomach, he reacted with a loud groan and tried to tackle her. Currently, she was moving based on instinct, through his actions she could read what moves he was going to use next and grabbed onto his shoulder at the right time when he was about to tackle her, she had an iron grip on him as she pulled his upper half of the body down towards her knee. At that moment she performed a perfect knee to the groin, everyone who was watching the match all had only 2 reactions. The first are those who were astounded and amazed with their eyes widened and the second are those who had a look at them as though it was them who got hit. Once that move was over, Mason was on the floor holding onto his groin in pain while Emily simply made her way over to Carly. Carly's mouth was agape with a look of astonishment displaying on her face.

"Wha-what was that? I thought you didn't take any lessons?" Carly staggered.

Emily smiled sheepishly and tried to joke it off. "I learned from the best, you taught me well sensei." After saying that she even did a slight bow towards Carly. (Sensei means teacher in Japanese)

"Pft we went through the basics, what you just did was a perfect example of kneeling. Are you sure you did not take any lessons before?" Carly teased.

"I think I must have watched too many boxing matches and picked it up somehow, anyways we should make our way to our next lesson so, see you tomorrow since we don't have any lessons together for the rest of the day." Emily tried to switch the topic and make an escape to the changing room before leaving for her classes.

The day went by quickly as the remaining classes were totally uneventful for Emily causing her to be bored to death, most of her teachers and lecturers were mono-toned and the things they went through were all very easy for her. As she was leaving class and going to call it a day, a pair of ocean blue eyes came into view, that was when she was reminded of the ice cream hangout and her plans on killing off the owner of the pair of dazzling eyes, Alvin.

Alvin's P.O.V

"Hey, Emy, ready for our ice cream date?" As soon as I saw Emily walking out of her class I approached her.

"Oh, are we going to the nearby mall for ice cream?" She questioned, she spoke really softly and in a very sweet manner, her voice was like honey for my ears as I immediately got even more excited.

"Nope, just follow me alright." I grabbed onto her hand and dragged her along with me to the carpark to get my car, as today Carly will be going back with Ricky.

Once we reached the carpark, I got into my new black Porsche while Emily got in and made herself comfortable as well. I drove it out today hoping that it will impress her, but from the looks of her face it seems like she wasn't impressed and at the same time, she looks troubled. My brain somehow started spiraling and thinking of reasons why she was not happy, did I do something wrong?

"Emy. . . Is something wrong? Do you not want to go for ice cream or do you not like the car?" My thoughts were all over the place as I waited for her reply, at this moment I feel like an insecure girl.

She turned to look me in the eye causing me to feel even more petrified, minutes went by before she opened her mouth to reply.

"No nothing is wrong just that I am not a fan of malls or crowded areas so I hope you aren't going to bring me to places with crowds. . . And I think your car is really cool." She furrowed her brows and replied. Oh so it was the destination that caused her worries, luckily I had something interesting planned out already and had even skipped 2 classes earlier on just to prepare it. The worrisome thoughts in my head disappeared and my gaze on her softened.

"Just trust me alright, it won't be the mall or a crowded place, just sit back and relax until the car ride is over princess." A blush seemed to have crept onto her face when I called her princess she didn't even try to rebut it. Looks like I now have a new nickname for her, I had on a devilish grin as the thought scenes of me teasing her by calling her princess came into mind.

Throughout the ride, she simply sat there quietly staring out of the window daydreaming, as I was driving I could only steal slight glances at her. Her eyes held a sense of loneliness yet there was a hint of deadliness as though she is a single rose that is filled with thorns, wanting others to care for her yet putting up a wall of thorns in others way when approaching her. Even just a few glances, I could tell that behind those eyes lies a story, no matter what story it is, all I know is that I want to be the one who she can lean on and open up to, the one who can make her smile and take away all the loneliness she is feeling and the one who is able to treasure her and love her forever, all I need is just one chance, I hope I do not screw this date up and ruin things.
