Chapter 17
Tarkan and ashlin are staring at each other with intense, neither of them are backing down although hunter ashlin was nervous because he can feel the fire wolf's power and aura is different than before.
'Something is wrong with this boss, why did suddenly he become more powerful.' Ashlin thought, she begin fo feel unease and sweat began to from on her forehead.
"Ashlin, get the hell out of there!" Ashlin got surprise and see jason who shout at him.
"Get the hell out of here, that monster is not your match." Jason said, he is worried about ashlin because the monster in front of her is not her opponent at all.
Ashlin look at jason's worried face began to reassure him with her smile. "Don't worry, hunter blaze, I will handle him and besides..." ashlin began to cast magic circles around him. "This is my thanks for saving me back before from the lava golem."
Ahslin began to cast water spears, earth spikes, and vine woods to tarkan. Tarkan began to cast his fire armor which successfully defend him from ashlin's attacks.
Tarkan quickly leap towards ashlin, ashlin began to use her flight magic to fly evading tarkan, with ashlin now out of tarkan's range she began to cast many water balls, water spears and water based attacks on tarkan.
Tarkan didn't have the ability to fly so he didn't have a choice but to evade all her attacks and counterattack her using his fire abilities.
Robert who is watching both of their fight from afar didn't do anything and just observing them, he look at jason who is still in pain and hurt slowly began to heal by using his healing magic.
Back to the fight, tarkan didn't get hit by any of ashlin attacks and ashlin also didn't get hit by tarkan attacks although she got hit a few times because tarkan's attack are launch faster than her.
'Come on, come on, get heal fast dammit, so i can help ashlin.' Jason thought, looking at ashlin and tarkan fight while he heal himself using his healing magic, he wants to help her but he is not properly heal yet.
Ashlin and tarkan are still exchange attacks, the hunters on the other hand are almost done with their fight against tarkan's minions. Lynch began to cast wind cutter cutting the monster into two pieces.
Tusk already kill most of the fire wolf's minions, Lynch look at the remaining hunters and she can see they lost some but most of them survive.
"Looks like it's over." Lynch said, she sigh in relief that there was no more fire wolf minions.
"Hey, where is the boss?" Tusk ask, looking around for the boss.
Lynch heard what tusk said almost forgot that they haven't defeated the boss yet, she look around to find the boss with the other hunters.
The boss monster is using fire magic at ashlin who is flying using her magic to exchange attacks with the boss. "There, a hunter is fighting the boss." An archer hunter said, he pointed to where both of them are fighting.
They look at where ashlin and tarkan are fighting, from thd looks of it ashlin is getting beaten up by tarkan. "We need to help her, let's move." Lynch said, they immedeatly run to help her.
Ashlin tried to avoid tarkan attacks but suddenly she got hit by one of tarkan fire attacks throwing her to the ground. "AHHH!" Ashlin shout, as she drop to the ground hard.
"Ashlin!" Jason shout, worried and panic.
Tarkan walk slowly towards ashlin with his menacing face, ashlin open her eyes and tried to sit with her body in pain. She look at the boss monster right in front of her eyes and scared.
Tarkan growl and open her mouth to bite ashlin's head but tarkan feel something dangerous coming to him from his right, he immedeatly jump back and the spot he stand before got cut by wind magic.
Lynch and the other hunters began to get in front of ashlin. "Y-You guys?!" Ashlin said, surprised.
Lynch look back at ashlin. "Good job hunter, it seems you damage him quite serious, leave the rest to us." Lynch said, aslin shook her head. "No, I'm not the one who make him in bad state it was hunter blaze who did it, I just make a small damage on him."
Lynch was surprise by ashlin words. "Is that so... but where is hunter blaze?" Lynch ask, she didn't see him with ashlin.
"He is right over there." Ashlin pointed where jason is.
Lynch see jason sit down on the ground leaning towards the cave wall casting a healing spell on his wound. 'Looks like he give everything he got to hurt the boss!' Lynch could see all jason's wounds and his tattered chlotes.
Tarkan began to howl making everyone looking at tarkan on high alert, tarkan suddenly appeared beside an archer hunter, tarkan immedeatly decapitated the archer hunter and move very fast around the cave.
The hunters can't keep up with tarkan's speed. 'Dammit, the boss moves too fast!' Lynch said, as her eyes can't keep up with the boss monster speed.
A mage hunter look around his sorrounding for the incoming boss but his own head got detached from his body, a hunter beside him notice this began to panic. "Oh sh–" he didn't got to finish his words because he got cut into two pieces.
The hunters one by one either decapitated or got slice into two, tusk look around to see the fire wolf look at Lynch and realize the fire wolf is targeting her. "Lynch, behind you!" Tusk warned her.
Lynch turn around to see tarkan running very fast straight to Lynch, Lynch didn't have the chance to cast her shield magic bit luckily tarkan was thrown away to the far side.
Lynch surprise and see the one who save her, she see jason stand panting and his arm stretch forward covered by darkness. 'He just save me again.' Lynch thought, today she was saved by hunter blaze twice.
'I owe him another one because he save me again.' Lynch thought, she didn't repay him yet when he first save her from the lava golem... now she need to repay him twice because he save her again.
Tarkan rolled several times until he stand back up again, he look who attack him and it is the same person who fought him one on one. This make him more angry and want to tear jason apart to pieces.
Tarkan ran towards jason and jason repond with charge toward him despite still feel pain. "No wait, you're not fully recovered yet!" Lynch tried to stop jason but failed.
"System, how long until tarkan's berserk state end?" Jason talk to his system in his mind.
[About a minute tarkan's berserk state will end.]
Jason sigh in relief because tarkan would probably be exhausted and tired himself up after using his berserk mode. Tarkan and jason began to clash against each other, they begin to distance themself from each other until suddenly tarkan feel someone from his right.
Tarkan began to jump back to evade an attack from a hunter, the one who tried to hurt tarkan is tusk using his sword covered by aura. 'Shit, I thought i had him.' Tusk thought.
Jason didn't care about tusk began to use his shadow leap to instanly appear in front of tarkan, he began to slash around tarkan's body with his fast speed combine with his shadow.
Tarkan tried to bite and clawed jason but he is moving too fast for him and worsely his berserk mode is going to end meaning he will get tired, he need to avoid fighting with the hunters until he recovered his stamina and kill them again.
Jason is having trouble penetrating tarkan's skin because he is using fire armor, he moves so fast only A-Rank hunter or above can see him meanwhile all the hunters are amaze by his skill and power.
"Holy shit, look at him go!"
"He is moving so fast, I can't see him!"
"Look at him move while slashing his sword around the boss monster!"
"Damn, this guy must be an A-Rank or above!"
"I know right, he must be a powerful hunter who join this raid."
The hunters began to talk about jason and amaze by his skill and power, they thought jason must be an A-Rank hunter or above because he just demonstrate powers and skill of an A-Rank or above.
Ashlin and Lynch is astonished of jason's ability to avoid and attack the boss monster at the same time, they are curious of what rank jason is and how powerful is he.
Now both of them know how strong jason is, if he didn't affiliated with any guild both of them want him to join their guild, tusk look at Lynch whi is looking at jason in amazement and astonished which make tusk jealous and more angry at jason.
Jason keep running around tarkan and slashing around his body until tarkan's berserk state began to run out, tarkan became alerted by this and know he can't hit jason so he wait for an opening so he can escape.
Tarkan wait for a while until he see an opening, jason notice tarkan was going to run began to punch him to knock him back to his place.
Tarkan began to growl at jason although he didn't take any damage because of his fire armor and berserk mode but suddenly his fire armor dissapeared and he change back to normal.
Tarkan see thus began to panic and tried to run away but jason punch his face pushed him backward and make him dizzy. "Everyone, the boss monster is exhausted and stunned, attack him with everything you got!" Jason shout.
Lynch began to snap from her thought heard blaze words. "Hunter blaze is right, we should take this chance to kill the boss monster." She pointed her staff at the boss monster. "Attack!"
The hunters who heard hunter Lynch began to act and attack the boss monster, they began to use their abilities to damage tarkan slowly killing him.
Tarkan began to take so much damage as he tried to kill the hunters but they just dodge his attacks and began to hurt him even more, jason also followed them to kill tarkan.
Robert is still standing away from the battle looking at the hunters attacking tarkan. "Ava, how much long until tarkan is dead?" He ask his system in his mind.
[No longer Robert, 5 minutes later, tarkan will be dead and the real boss monster will appear!]
Robert nod his head and thank ava, he want to see jason face the real boss monster and what is he and his sponsor want to obtained after jason defeat the real boss monster.
All the hunters are still attacking tarkan, they give him no chance to attack nor to defend himself. Tarkan was pushed backward until all the hunters began to sorround him. 'He's mine!' Tusk thought.
Tusk began to run and leap towards tarkan swinging his sword for the final blow. 'This is it, if I kill the boss monster Lynch will turn her attention to me!' Tusk smile as his sword was near tarkan's face but tarkan just grab the sword and hold it above his head.
"What!" Tusk was surprise by tarkan grab his sword, this make him stunned, panic, and sweat.
Tusk is trying to pull his sword back from the boss monster's grasp but tarkan's grip is too strong despite being heavenly injured, tarkan smirk at the human foolishness, he began to open his mouth to fire his fire magic.
Tusk see he was going to get hit by the boss monster attack began to pull hard to take his sword from the grip of the boss monster but to no avail. 'Shit!' Tusk thought, he was going to take a lot of damage from boss monster attack.
When tusk is going to get an attack to his face from tarkan, jason jump high with his sword pointed downward covered by darkflame. "Eat this, you piece of shit!" Jason said.
He begin to dive down penetrating tarkan's crystal and his head killing him, tusk successfully pull his sword from tarkan. They see tarkan's body began to glow red with his eyes.
[Jason, get the hell out of there tarkan was about to explode!]
Jason heard his sponsor began to wide eyed and alarmed look at all the hunters. "He is going to explode, RUN!" Jason pull his sword and run away.
All the hunters heard jason words began to run away from tarkan, they ran far away from tarkan until he explode causing shockwaves hitting all the hunters make them fall.
The hunters began to groan and their ears are ringing for a few second until the ringing are gone, jason began to get up and look where tarkan was exploded.
[It looks like it was over and now the real fight begins!]
Jason agree with his sponsor the real fight is about to begin and he need to prepare, while robert who is still invisible looking at jason. 'Let's see how you face the real boss monster, shall we?' Robert thought.
