Chapter 17: Study Group
Alex POV
I felt a twinge of annoyance as Riley entered the room.
Gil, Jamaiah, Sarrah, Loren, and I were going over what our plan of action was going to be concerning Loren’s safety. Against my better judgment I had agreed to let Riley join.
I had promised Loren that I would try harder with him, but that would take time. For now, it was enough that we were not already at each other’s throats.
“Thank you for coming guys, I know that asking to meet in an abandoned faculty building seems a bit sketchy but what we need to discuss is extremely sensitive and needs privacy and discretion,” I said to the group.
The door suddenly opened and Professor Lichenstroff entered the room. The others looked alarmed; afraid that we were about to get in trouble for being in a building that was off limits to students.
“It’s okay everyone,” the professor said cheerfully, “You’re not in trouble, it was actually my idea that we should meet here.”
