Disappointment

 With that decided, they decided to go outside the university to get a drink. Lith and Derek felt inappropriate to continue sticking around so they left. All along in the taxi, Carl was feeling impatient to see her get drunk and take her home, after all he knew most girls tend to misbehave so even if he could make use of this opportunity to get a kiss or even know some personal information about her it will make his pursuit of her easier, he also felt she will be more free around him considering the fact that he had helped her home before.

 Luna could tell from his facial expression that he was having some perverted thoughts towards her and could only shake her head slightly for the poor guy. Carl just chose any regular bar since he was familiar with none, he just hoped whatever alcohol Luna took would be enough to intoxicate her, after all, the more intoxicated she gets, the higher his chances. 

 Luna ordered a quite expensive she had wanted to try for a long time but had not found a good occasion but here a good one has presented itself. To be honest, she felt quite bad to treat Carl in such a bad way after he gave her such a good treat but at least she had to make him see the hard truth that nothing more than friendship can go on between the two of them.

 Luna drank just enough to still be sober enough to get home safely while also being able to pretend to be drunk. She started acting intoxicated and even pretended to slip.

 Although the distance between them was not so much that Carl could not help her, the table was in between them so although he could not hold her, he could at least her to stand up well. Luna cheeks became bit red from embarrassment as one of his hands was groping her breasts.

 She struggled to remove his hands, as soon as Carl saw what was happening he quickly removed his hands while apologizing. "I`m sorry, I didn`t mean to",

 "It`s ookay" she said while doing her best not to blow her cover. It was a good thing Carl was just recovering from the sudden events that he didn`t notice anything weird.

 After that she did not feel like drinking anymore and said slowly "Let`s go to my place" she stressed the last words as she pretending to almost vomit. Carl didn`t dare delay after this, he quickly paid the owner the money and then went to the road to get a taxi.

 The journey was uneventful except from a little burps from Luna as she slept on his shoulders. He didn`t dare move an inch for for fear of waking her. Even though he knew she was drunk, he wished they could remain like this forever. 

 The journey was smooth and after about about 15 minutes, they got to her apartment. As soon they got to her door and Luna knocked instead of opening the lock, Lith realized something he had forgotten- her roommate. "Shit" he thought. It is sometimes true when they 'what you fear the most usually happens' as a tall girl beautiful girl wearing short skirts which exposed her thighs came out of the door. "It was a good thing Luna was drunk if she would have seen the expression on my face, I need to watch my composure around girls with girls in the future" Carl thought. "Thanks you very much, she is not much of a drinker, I wonder what happened today, sorry for disturbing you, I will take care of her from here" she said as she collected Luna from him.

 Carl didn`t even know whether he should start crying or not, just when he thought everything was going according to plan just one thing he omitted spoilt the whole plan. As if fate was trying to laugh at his face as soon as he entered a taxi and looked at the driver, he realized it was the same driver that drove Luna and him just now to her house he first thought it might just be resemblance but when he compared the number he realized it was indeed the same. Seeing the driver surprised look, he wanted to explain himself, but he suppressed that thought.

 At this point, he was so confused because what did he do wrong, his carefully laid down plan has been brought to nought by a previously ignored character. He had just wasted a lot of money for nothing. However, he would pursue her no matter the obstacles, all would be worth it as long as he could be with her. Soon enough, he highlighted at his dormitory and paid the driver his fees. He tried to look as normal as possible until he got into his room so as to avoid any questions because with his current temperament even a stray fly could enrage him.

 As soon as Lith got back, he called his mother and his sister, the first minute was basically him hearing Luna complain about how worried they have been but he finally managed to calm them down explaining to them that he slept off due to the stress. He spoke to Derek a little bit and was about to sleep when a dejected and abandoned looking Carl entered the room looking like he was on the verge of crying.

 "How was it" Derek asked. "This has to be the worst day of my life, I didn`t even get to enter her room". "What happened" Lith asked. "After we left the eatery, we went to the bar and she ordered an a quite expensive liquor and drunk so hard I had to take her home, I was happy to escort her home and probably get a chance to know more about her not like I am trying to take advantage of her being intoxicated but if I helped her, she might feel indebted and finally agree to go on a date with me " he looked so heartbroken while saying this that even his roommates felt for him.

 "It seems like this girl is not interested in you, why don`t you just give up and look for someone else, there are many other girls more beautiful than her". Lith asked. "You have probably never fallen in love for you to say this, she is the most beautiful girl in the world to me". Lith just sighed, he really was not in the best position to advice someone since he has never really fallen in love. Derek just shook his head slightly, "If only this boy could put this determination into more important things." Lith had been feeling sleepy for quite a while, so not long after he drifted to sleep.
