The Toxic Relationship

Veni was walking back from the store, the rain splattering everywhere around her. Veni had her leather hood up, it being soaking wet, the street lights shining on to the leather. Veni soon walked up to her apartment, fumbling with her keys as she unlocked the main door, heading up the stairs, the boards creeking and feeling like they're about to fall. The apartment was a very old one. It was built back in the 1900s, with people not taking care of it makes it even more dangerous. As Veni unlocked her door, she got a text from her boyfriend. Veni said down her purse, closing the door with her heel as she sits down on her dirty couch. Her boyfriend owned a mining company, meaning that he's very busy and very wealthy. Though her boyfriend is toxic, Veni still loved him. They chatted through the night with small talk and everything, before it started getting toxic. Veni found an excuse to stop talking, setting down her old phone. The girl sighed as she softly brushed her fingers through her hair, being stressed about everything. Veni looked at her watch, it being almost morning. Veni got up, stretched, and head to bed.
