Chapter 6

I'm done cleaning myself and Mrs. Fox was there waiting for me. She is so beautiful with her red eyes and hair. She has white skin like porcelain. Her smile is really genuine and sincere.

"Hi dear. Go now and change." she guided me to the dressing room. My eyes started to sparkle with joy and fascination. The dress is so amazing. A blue dress that sparkled with gems. It's so amazing.

"I'm glad you like it dear. " she smiled at me. Just by seeing my face, Mrs. Fox already knows my feelings. I wear it with joy and check myself in the mirror. I went out to the dressing room.

"Oh My God! You look beautiful, dear. You're like a princess. " I blushed with her comment. I myself too feel beautiful in this dress. It's like it was made for me. Suddenly, Dave entered the room with eyes opened with mouth-opened.

Mrs. Fox invited us for some snacks. Dave was so silent and I wondered why. After how many minutes, I decided to go home.

"Uhm Can I call you Mrs. Fox instead? " Mrs. Fox looked at me with a smile.

" Of course dear! If you want, call me Mom if you like," she said

" Uhmm. Mrs. Fox thank you for lending this dress. I will return it as soon as possible. " It was awkward with her remarks but I still need to thank her for the accommodation and being nice. I felt homey here at the shop and felt safe.

"It's okay dear. It's yours. " Her response took me aback. Looking at the dress, I know that the fabric and gems used are out of this world. From the looks of it, the dress is expensive.

"But-" I really think that I don't deserve to have a such dress.

" No buts. It's already late dear you should go home now. Hey son! Escort Snow to her home okay?! " Dave just nod. Mrs. fox waved goodbye with a genuine smile on her face. I thanked her again as we head out and waved at her too.

We took a taxi. While we are on the road, Dave remains quiet. Did I do something wrong? Is he mad? A moment ago we are having fun but now just silence. The different lights from the street and the beeping of the cars were the ones I can only hear. I can't take it anymore.

"Hey, Fox! " I said and smiled at him but he didn't respond. I poke his shoulder but still nothing.

"Hey"

"Shhhh" he gestured to me. I looked at him quite confused

"What's wrong Fox? " I said. We are near my house in just a few minutes.

He didn't say anything and lean on the car's window. Maybe, she was tired for today. I just let him rest for a while. As we arrived in front of my house, I am about to go out when I saw Dave peacefully sleeping beside me. I just can't help to just stare at his sleeping face. He looks peaceful. I don't want to disturb his sleep and get my sticky notes out from my back. I scribble something and paste it in the backrest of the shotgun seat so that he will see it easily.

"Sir, can you drive him back where you fetched us earlier? He is quite tired. Just wake him up when you arrive at the boutique" I doubled the payment and looked at him for the second time before going out of the taxi. I made sure to close the car door carefully so that he will not wake up due to the noise it will create. I reminded the taxi driver again so that he can have a peaceful sleep.

I opened went inside our house and I was greeted with the aroma of tomato soup.

" Mom, Dad, I'm home" I shouted as I put my shoes on the rack and wear my slippers. I carried my schoolbag and paper bag as I began to take the stairs to the second floor where my room is located. Before taking a step, I heard Mom's voice from behind.

" Snow?" It made me look at her and smile shyly

"Hi, Mom" I greeted shyly

"Honey, come here and look at our child!" Mom shouted and a minute later, Dad arrived.

"Oh My, my child is like a snow princess with that dress. Don't you think, Dear?

"I am thinking the same way. Snow, come here" Mom said and making her arms wide open. I immediately walked towards them and hugged my Mom. Father hugged us both and I felt the warmth of love from them.

"You look so beautiful, Snow," Mom said lovingly

"Beautiful like your Mother" Dad added.

"Thank you, Mom, Dad," I said and looked at both of them lovingly.

"Where did you get this dress by the way? It really suits you. We will buy more clothes like this from them." Dad asked

"I have a new classmate at school. His mom gifted this dress to me. She is very beautiful and kind." I also told them the trouble we had and they just laughed about it. They are a bit thankful that I have a new friend but I highly doubt that I am happy about him.

I changed my clothes to comfortable one and carefully put away the dress. We ate our dinner with much love and affection. Mom made me my favorite tomato soup and also served some pasta. I volunteered to do the dishes as I know they are also tired from work. They also head to their bedroom. Both of them work in the same company. They mostly handle paperwork and office works.

As soon as I finished putting the dishes to their designated place, I went upstairs and go to my bedroom. I put out my phone from my bag and opened it. I check my messages and our group chats. I specifically opened the group chat where the three of us are members. the group chat name was named "Powerpuff Gurls". It was quite funny but because we are a trio, Lovely think it will be cute and hilarious. She presents herself as Blossom, she appointed me as Bubbles, and lastly, Gary will be Buttercup.

I checked it out and I just said Hi. And the group chat went on for a while. We just discussed our History assignment and to check for some corrections and some additional pieces of information to put in if necessary. After checking, we said our good nights.

I put my phone on the nightstand after setting my alarm. I just stared at the ceiling for a moment and think about what happened today. Did Dave go back safely? Why did I think about him? Never mind, I need to sleep to wake up early. I hope tomorrow will be a good day.
