How Dare She!

"Postpone them."

"Not coming." Sheng Ruming replied again.

Wang Haixiao was speechless when he heard it. He stilled his mind and spoke up on the phone.

"I won't be able to show my face to them with pride next time. Also by not meeting them you are testifying that the groundless rumours are correct!" Wang Haixiao was worried about this the most.

'This little thing' Sheng Ruming raised an eyebrow when he heard about the last part. He would make sure he would learn how to apologise to others thoroughly.

"Then make the rumours true. I don't care. Let them think as they wish. When I come back to the company, I will take care of them personally." He emphasized the word 'care' deeply.

"What?! Which rumour to turn into a truth?!"

"That I am very ill and need rest for some days. You and Yanli can take care of the matters at the company. As for the serious matters... Isn't father coming? Tell him to handle them if he still wants his company." He said casually. 

Usually he wouldn't say so many words. But today his mood was very good. He even gave answers to some of Wang Haixiao's unnecessary questions.

"You... Okay! I will do as you have said. But if anything goes wrong, then don't blame me."

"Will see." Sheng Ruming cut the line and looked forward to going to the villa expectantly. 

'Finally I will be able to talk to you. The things I couldn't say to you ten years ago, I will say to you no matter what!' 

There was a passion burning in his eyes as if he was readying himself for a war. He was looking forward to that moment of conversation.

Wang Haixiao looked at his phone in dismay. He wanted to smash it to doom but didn't dare. It was very pricey and a gift from Ji Yanli. She would skin him alive if he did that.

'Now, I've to take the full brunt for him.' Wang Haixiao, ready yourself to apologise to them. 

"They will surely scold my five generations to come. But what will I say to Uncle Sheng? Should I really have to make this ridiculous rumor a truth?' Wang Haixiao was totally devastated by the situation.

He was going to Ji Yanli to give her the bad news when he suddenly thought about her earlier behaviour. 'Why didn't she tell me when she had already guessed it? She knew it would come true!' 

He was unhappy and felt like left behind by everyone. He didn't tell her and went to cancel the meetings. 

Life was surely very challenging sometimes for his poor soul.

He went to his chair and plopped down on it. He stared at his phone and after mastering the courage,he dialed a number.

"Hello, Mr. Liang...Yes, it's me. Actually, our CEO can't make it up to the appointment today... Reason? Well, the reason is..."

When the car entered the vicinity of the villa, Sheng Ruming's expression showed a little nervousness. The car stopped at the villa's door, he didn't wait for anyone to open the door for himself. As he ran to the villa and went to the second floor, his chief bodyguard followed him behind.

When he came before her door, he stopped in his tracks. As he heard her talking, he thought as if spring had come to grace him. Her voice was a melody to his ears. It's been years since he heard it. By then Xiao Huang also arrived and stood at attention.

He took a deep breath. When his hand reached for the doorknob, he heard a maid speaking. 

There was absolute mockery in her tone as if she was mocking his Lixi. His rising hand which intended to push the door, stopped in mid-air. He listened to their conversation for some time without making a single sound.

'How dare she!' His mood instantly pummeled. 

As if it wasn't enough that he wasn't the first person she saw when she woke up, now an insignificant maid dared to mock her in his absence... He became extremely furious. 

Behind him Xiao Huang also heard everything but didn't think it was too much. Some strict words would be enough to bring the maid I. Her right attitude. 

But when he looked at his boss, the man was quite shocked to see him in his current state. It was as if he wanted to murder someone. Xiao Huang never saw him like this in the past.

Suddenly, Sheng Ruming kicked the room with a boom and entered with large steps. He didn't care what Luo Lixi would think about him anymore as he was burning in fury.

The people inside the room were all startled by the sudden intrusion. But when they saw Sheng Ruming's face, sone with guilty consciences shuddered inwardly. 

Especially the maid, who turned her head to see his murderous glare was aiming at her. 

Earlier, she was mocking Luo Lixi without being aware of as it was quite her natura. She didn't even get to finish her last sentence before he came. He seemed very scary and furious to her yet she was confused.

Nana was blocking Luo Lixi's line of sight so she didn't get to see who it was. She was curious who it could be. 

"Grandfather?" She mumbled under her breath.

When she moved to a side to see who it was, her gaze widened. She was so shocked that her current face looked like an egg was stuffed in her mouth. She retracted her gaze and closed her eyes. After opening them she moved again and peeked at him to make sure what she saw was correct and not some illusion.

Sheng Ruming didn't shift his gaze to her yet. He looked at Nana and asked her in a deep and enraged tone, "Are you the one talking to her just now?" 

He spelled every word with extreme hatred which made Luo Lixi crease her forehead in bafflement.

"Ye...yes." Nana was shaking slightly as she answered him. Her face turned ashen when she spoke up. 

"Xiao Huang, throw her out of this villa this instant. I don't want to see her face even for a second." He said everything in one breath. 

Afterward he shifted his sight and noticed someone was staring at him. Instantly, he was embarrassed to notice her frown and adjusted his tie as if to lessen the awkwardness. 

Drastically, his gaze turned gentle as he looked at Luo Lixi.

"What? No!" Nana was petrified when she heard what he said. She got a decent salary by working here. If she lost this job, her life would turn miserable.

"Young Master, you misunderstood!" She wanted to rush towards Sheng Ruming to apologise but was stopped by a strong hand.

Xiao Huang motioned to some maids who caught her in time and dragged her away from the room. 

"What did I do wrong?! You better clarify!" She was struggling desperately to go towards Sheng Ruming. He understood her thoughts and completely ignored her. Her mad behaviour was enough for Xiao Huang to keep in mind that he needed to check the maids' backgrounds again.

Meanwhile, accidentally, Nana sprained her leg, fell and hit her head heavily. She became unconscious and was dragged outside. After that Xiao Huang had someone to throw her out of the villa when she gained sense.
