Chapter 1

I walked in the corridor as I saw my friends waiting for me. Maria ,one of my friends, crossed arm. I laughed by the fact that she is losing her patience in waiting for me. Pachii is with her boyfriend Ivo. Greer is reading a  book again.

" Hey" I said.

" Allison Jade , be punctual next time!" Maria demanded.

" Sorry Maria next time I'll be early I promise."  I said.

"Good" she said.

" Lis, Ivo forgot to bring his book. We will go to my locker first and get my book. " Pachii told me

"Okay let's meet on a classroom. " I said.

Pachii nodded at me. Greer packed up her things and Maria are waiting for us. We arrived in our classroom I glanced at my classmayes and gave them a warm smile.

Since it was first day of second semester I can freely choose where to sit  and that seat would be my seat for the whole semester and I decided to go on middle seat.

After fifteen minutes the first subject teacher arrives with the transferee. The first thing that comes up to my mind as soon as I see him is a good-locking charismatic young man.

"Good morning Grade 11-A.  I am Mr. Bernabas and I will be your Chemistry teacher for this semester. All of you know each other since you are all in the same class on last semester . I would like you to introduce yourself to me and what course do you want to take up in college . Mr. Transferee you will be the first one in introducing yourself. " the teacher said.

He smiled at Mr. Bernabas. He got chinky eyes which made him  looked like a korean actor . In his brown and mobile face are eyes that twinkle. In just moments his mouth gives up on the stoicism he projects, breaking into a handsome-ish grin. 

"I'm Paul Perez . My mother is Hui Ji Lee and my Dad is Roger Perez  and they are both doctors . We owned the Perez Medical Hospital . Obviously, the course that I want to take up is related on my parents job."  he said in his introduction.

So that explains why he looked like korean actor since his mother is a  korean. The introduction depends on your seat and I didn't know I was the next one to introduce.

"Hey Lis, it's your turn" Greer whispered.

"Oh,my bad" I said and immediately got up to my seat .

"Allison Jade Gatchalian and I am the president of this class. My mother is a professor in Madrid and my dad currently do not have a job as of now but he is known architect  in his years. I want to be a sucessful doctor someday so I want to take up Medicine course." I said.

I saw my classmates whispering and others laugh. They knew that my Mother left us because of my incompetent father. I looked down and someone took my hand. It is Paul.

"Don't look down. They will be happy seeing you like that." He whispered .

I followed what he said and the whispering died down. He sat next to me. I took a glance  at him  then focuses on what the teacher discusses.

" This is the difficult one. So can someone balance  this following equation?"The teacher asked.

The class remained silent . I immediately raise my hands and also I saw Paul raising his hands too.

" Miss Gatchalian." Mr. Bernabas .

I answered it and I got it correct. I saw Paul looked at me. I smiled at him but he just looked the other way.

Did I offended him? What did I do?

Minutes. Hours.Days.Weeks has passed and I noticed that Paul is competitive in his studies. I sat at library trying to figure out how I can finish my school work. . I already have 30 minutes before the deadline.

I saw my classmates Dean,Hades,Yuan and Uriel with Paul.  They are also doing it. I am too shy to ask for someones help that is why I answered it on my own.

My friends are doing their own business. Maria and Greer is at the canteen while Pachii is with her boyfriend. As soon as I  finished doing the schoolworks then I grabbed my bag .

Someone grabbed my wrist. It's him. Paul Perez.

"Allison Jade are you done already?" He asked.

I nodded my head and gave my paper to him.He looked at it and looked at me.

"Recheck number 8  and be careful with you signs in number 10." He said.

"Okay. Thank you."  I said.

I blushed. I never expected him helping me because the last time I checked he looked  at me intensely  when I answered in Mr. Bernaba's class.

I arrive on time in my class then  the teacher told me to put all my answers on the board. The teacher smiled at me . Sometimes I do not understand why our teachers is so good to me.

"Very good Ms. Gatchalian."  The teacher said .

I sat on my chair . "Thank you Mr. Perez." I said.

He just continue what he was doing as if  he never heared me thanking him. Here he go again.

" Next week is our performance task week so I want you to pair up in this upcoming pt with your seatmate. What you have to do is to make a video tutorial on a particular topic that we have discussed. Goodbye class." The teacher said then leave the room.

"Is it okay with you that we will be the partners in our pt?" I asked.

He nodded. " Where should we shoot?"he asked.

" I don't have any idea where should we shoot but do you have any suggestions?." I asked.

"In my place. Saturday. 3pm sharp." He said.
