CHAPTER 17: I LIKE YOU (2)

Because of what happened early morning. She could really hear what Ocean whispered even he say it in a low voice. Rhianna were not at herself the whole morning subjects. She was definitely absentminded during two subjects when their teachers asked her.

She did answer but they keep repeating the questions. Their teachers caught her attentions. It was not like her at all.

Sophie and Rhianna sat under a shade of a tree in their favorite spot in the school grounds. Their school maintain orders and always clean and neat everywhere. It was their lunch break; their other friends especially the boys were at the cafeteria were eating their lunch while Henna was also there to get some foods.

It was a good thing that they were alone, Sophie asked Rhianna. "What happened to you this morning session?" Her hands were busy getting something inside her bag. "You were not like that ever since your mom died," she continued. "Is there something bothering you?"

Rhianna denied quickly. "No, it's not like that. It is something else."

Sophie took out some foods in her bag that her mom cooked for them. "What is it then? I think I can guess it now. You want me to spill it out?"

Rhianna did not look at her but looked at the foods she placed down on the ground. She kept silenced.

However, Sophie continued talking. "You like him, do you?" Rhianna lift up her head, her face was blushed. "Ice, you know, you should remember. You cannot hide anything from me. You are fallen with Ocean, and so does he."

"I cannot keep secrets from you, Cream. You are really catchy about me." Rhianna admitted. "I do not know why of all people; I have this feeling for him. I want to ignore it but the more I do, the more the feeling grows."

"It is okay; do not have to ignore it. It is rare to fall in love with the right person. I can also sense that Ocean have feelings for you too. He is like you, keeps on denying it. But inside his heart you are special to him."

"Why are you keeps on insisting that he has a feeling for me too? He did not even tell me at all but you predict that he has."

Sophie laughed hysterically. "Of course, I can see his actions towards you. I even caught him peeking at you when you were not looking. You do the same to him too hahaha…"

Rhianna tapped Sophie's thigh hard. "You,"

"Ice, I am happy for you if you will let it out. Why… because you two were look good together. Follow your heart's desire. Stop being bitter about it. It is good thing to experience while you are still young. And do memorable memories with the people you love."

Rhianna realized why Sophie has been positive about love. Her parents both were young when they fall in love and still in love every time her father came back from S City when they were still in Q City.

She saw them how they treated each other. Full of love in her surroundings. Her parents taught her to be free to love no matter how painful it is.

Her mother, share to them about the meaning of love. Love is our true destiny. We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone- we find it with another. Life without love is like a tree without blossoms or fruits.

"So, my best friend Ice, I will support you no matter what you do. Love or anything else, I am always by your side for good and bad times okay. I love you bff."

Sophie leaned over to hug Rhianna.

Rhianna hugged back tight. She was blessed to have a best friend forever in her life. Sophie is always there to her whatever downside of life she had before. She never leaves her until the end.

Henley and Jenson were very noisy, nonstop chatting with each other in the cafeteria. Eating and talking, that is what they do every time they were together.

However, Ocean was quiet the whole time. His mind went back to the situation happened early morning.

He was space out too this morning sessions just like Rhianna. Fortunately, he was not called to answer some topics by their teacher, only Rhianna.

He was sway but his feelings for her that he whispered 'I like you'.

It was not intentional but it just happened in that condition. It just came out from his heart that he spoke out in a low voice. He was crazy. He shook her head while looking at the food on his plate.

"Hey, what are you thinking?" Jenson approached.

Before he could reply to Jenson, Alexa sat beside him with the tray on her hands. "Hi Ocean."

Ocean ignored her as if she does not exist. Alexa still did not mind at all and continue talking even no one will listen.

"Alexa, how far can you go?" Ocean asked with calm. However, inside him were ready to blow.

"What!"

"How long will you lower your self-esteem? Knowing that a guy does not like you at all but still you insist yourself on him." Ocean said in a cold tone. Alexa closed her mouth.

Ocean keeps on saying to her. "You are beautiful and nice person. Everybody looked up to you even your attitude was not nice to others. But still, they idolized you in some ways. Just please, have some respect to yourself. I am not good for you."

Alexa glared at him like a tigress. "Why, who is good for you? Is it Rhianna? You like Rhianna, that old ugly girl from the province of Q City. Is she the one you like?

Ocean sighed by controlling his temper. Alexa will always cause him bothersome. "What is with you then if I say yes, I like her. I did not confront you before because we are friends since we were younger. Nevertheless, to the point you did not have self-respect at all. We are not a kid anymore so stop. No matter what you do, will do in the future. I will not be going to like you. I look at you as a sister if more than that it will not going to happen."

Ocean stood up, walked out the table, and left Alexa. Henley and Jenson stood up too. Only Alexa stayed there, she stopped her tears not to fall down. She acted as if nothing has happened.

Ocean voice was not that loud when they were talking. So, no one knows what they were chatting about except for Henley and Jenson.

Alexa's friends went over to her. She composed herself to look good on the outside. She is mad at Ocean this is the second time he did this to her.

They were in Ocean's SUV, listen some random music before their afternoon subjects starts.

Jenson have the guts to ask Ocean. "Is it true?"

"About what?" Ocean acted, as he was blind with Jenson's question.

Henley turned to say. "About Rhianna. Do you really like her?"

"Why? You two like her too?" Ocean teased them.

Jenson quickly denied. "No-no, I look at her like a sister. I have no other feelings for her."

"Me, too. I do the same with Jenson. She is not my type. As a friend, she is the best.

Ocean smiled.
