The next day came around, dad was off with Vincent early in the morning doing some last minute preparation for tonight's auction, leaving me with Lilia and her mom, to get us dressed. I spend most of the day accompanying them, and every now and then checking in with my mom, keeping her company.

Everyday in this world is boring. It's not like earth where entertainment is found in every direction. So I had to find ways to entertain myself, when I was stuck in limbo I did so with my memories and imagination.

I still can but would rather a new form in reality to also aid myself in this world.

The best way I've found in ofcourse training, cultivating and reading books. Socializing isn't bad, but conversations and drama are pretty boring compared to earths.

I'd love to introduce more forms of entertainment to this world, but that would give me away. And I already know war is just around the corner, and could negatively affect this continent's survival.

So my only option was to recreate, fidget toys and puzzles for personal use.

My favorite is the recreation of the butterfly knife and kendama. Their engineering is pretty simple and both are really engaging, at the same time useful for training dexterity.

Not long later, it was the evening, Lilia and I were sitting on a couch talking and playing little games. While her mom Tabitha was looking through a note book, sitting in a chair nearby.

We were waiting for Rey and Vince to come back, so we could all leave together.

Not long later they did, with a small greeting. Rey spoke, "I'll be right back." Quickly walking away towards mom.

Vince sat down in a seat, clearly a little exhausted. Tabitha got up and chatted with him a bit while messaging his shoulders.

Lilia and I acknowledged everyone's existence, but continued our little games.

A moment later, we could hear footsteps before, we could see Rey coming. "Alright I'm already, let's go."

We all got up and made our way out the front door and into an already prepared carriage.

In this auction and all the past ones, Rey was either the captain or vice-captain of the guards In charge of the auction's security.

This time he was vice-captain, since the royal family was coming they sent a personal guard to take charge as the captain, to further ensure the safety of themselves.

In the carriage the adults talked about recent events, while us kids continued playing with the kendamas.

Lilia wasn't much of a fan of the kendames, but wouldn't mind messing around with them as long as she had a partner to play with.

That was often and always me. Sometimes the adults would mess around with them, but not much.

Arriving at our destination, the carriage stopped abruptly, as we all walked through the auction and toward the VIP section.

The place was still vacant, we were still early, but only about two hours early. The first guests should be arriving within the next thirty minutes.

Again Lilia, Tabitha and I were all left alone in the fancy VIP room. Rey went out to perform his job, while Vince went to greet guest, and entertain some nobles.

Luckily the room we were in had a bunch of drinks and snacks. And it was pretty entertaining looking all around the auction house, it was really fancy and large.

From our room, everyone below us looked like bugs, deeply intriguing the young Lilia.

I was more interested in what was considered worthy of entering this auction.

I remember from the books, there were some weapons and armors, but the most outstanding thing was an A-rank potential bond.

From what I gathered AA was the highest ranking people and things got. S and SS rank existed, but were usually regarded as priceless treasures that didn't usually find themselves in auctions.

Only lances, or groups of AA rank people could ever think of facing or obtaining S or SS rank stuff.

An hour later and enough people were here to entertain themselves, allowing Vince to come back to the VIP room to relax and chat with all of us.

An hour later, all the guests had already arrived and were just chatting while waiting for the auction to begin.

Nobody spoke up in displeasure knowing the royal family was going to be present in this auction.

One of the auction servants, came in letting know, the 'special guest' arrived and would be here soon. So we all got up ready to greet the guest, while I was still immersed in my game of Kendama game.

Not even a few minutes later, and the doors of the VIP room opened allowing the King, Queen, their kids and a group of royal servants into the room.

Upon arrival, the Helstea family greeted the King and bowed in respect.

Vince, though, seemed to be pretty good friends with the royals and didn't bow, but instead announced them. "May I present his majesty, Blaine Glayder, her majesty, Priscilla Glayder, prince Curtis Glayder and princess Kathyln Glayder!"

Blaine the king spoke, glancing at everyone, ignoring my lack of acknowledgment and respect, looked at Vincent. "I didn't know we would share this space with guests, Vincent."

I ignored the royal servants glaring daggers at me, while the royals didn't seem to mind much.

"Forgive me for being presumptuous, your majesty! I remembered you wanting to meet my family the last time you were here, so I thought today would be a good time for that." Vincent sweat dropped at the kings words and my actions.

"This is my wife, Tabitha and my daughter, Lilia." Vincent introduced.

"Your majesty." Tabitha spoke in acknowledgement.

"And this is Loki Leywin, 'Loki please stop playing around.'" Vincent begged.

"Uggg, uncle Vincent, I can't, I'm about to beat my record!" I spoke focused and acting oblivious to everything around me.

"He is the son of my best friend, currently staying at my manor; his parents couldn't make it though." Vincent said, a little helpless.

"Hmm well that's fine, I think we're all pleased to have some company besides our guards." The king continued to ignore me.

But a royal guard spoke up. "Insolent peasant! How dare you act so disrespectful, in the king's presence!" He declared, approaching me in a threatening manner, leaking his killing intent, messing up my game.

"Ahh man, I only got to 343 rotations this time!" I acted frustrated and pouted, but also oblivious.

Looking up and I acted like I still didn't understand the situation, but once I saw kids my age my eyes widened expectantly, and approached them.

"Hey! My name's Loki, what's yours?" I spoke in a friendly manner.

Everyone's sweat dropped or was annoyed at my behavior.

The other kids or the Prince and princess, didn't really know how to respond or act, but ended up awkwardly speaking. "I-I'm Curtis and t-this is my sister Kathyln."

The prince Curtis spoke for both himself and his sister.

"Woah, are you two twins, I also have a twin, his name is Arthur, but he's off adventuring right now, probably taming and slaying dragons. Hmm, about now he's probably already saved a beautiful princess too." I spoke energetically and kinda came off narcissistic to others, little did they know I was speaking the truth.

Some guard's probably that I had some hidden agenda, but the still childish, Curtis and Kathyln were

trapped by my fairy tail like story. "Cool really?! What else?!"

And like that I had them under my thumb, and we all ran off to a couch to talk and play games.

"Please forgive Loki, your majesty, I know he's a bit impulsive and presumptuous, but I promise he's a good child." Vincent spoke hurriedly and nervously.

"Haha no need to sweat it Vincent, he's just a kid after all, let's just let them have their fun. I for one know Curtis and Kathlyn don't have many friends their age. Little Loki may be a good thing for them." King Blaine spoke, dismissing the matter relatively easily.

Sighing in relief, Vincent tried to change the subject. "Your right, your Majesty, let's move on and get comfortable, too enjoy this auction."

I inwardly sighed in relief, I purposely did all this. Thinking they wouldn't harm a ignorant child, but was still nervous nonetheless.

Thankfully everything went according to plan, and was able to befriend the royal kids.

Not long later the auction started, it was a little boring for the kids, I kept an eye on it though. While motioning an invitation to Lilia to join us kids. I could tell she was nervous, but stopped when following my lead. I was really good at breaking the ice and making friends.

Though I could tell some of the royal guards were annoyed at me, and kept an eye on me.
