CHAPTER 70
Trina highlighted from a taxi,paid the driver and walked into the restaurant.
Her eyes moved around in search of Asher and when she saw him her eyes sparkles.
Feeling someone gaze,he looked up and found Trina staring at him,he broke into a smile and waved at her.
She reciprocated his smile before making her way to where he sat.
"Hi".She said and sat down.
"Why you staring so hard?You still can't over me huh?".He teased.
She chuckle."Don't flatter yourself,Mr".She groans,rubbing her head.
"I heard you went out for a drink and got drunk.How do you feel?".He asked as he pick up his cup of latte and sip from it.
"Feels like shit,i will never drink again".
He shrugs before passing his coffee to her."Drink this first".And he picked up the menu.
"I can't believe you graduated from university,now am all alone".She pouts and took a sip.
"You might come out sooner too if only you don't repeat the same class--".
"You're an awful boyfriend!I don't care anymore about school,Asher is not there,so is Aiden,Madison and even Ted,Ted does night class cause he works during the dayyou know why?Cause his expecting a child".She recline her hand on the table and sigh.
"That's a great news,am gonna be an uncle and a god father".He claps his hands in excitement as Trina threw him a deadly glare.
"Asher!You're a pain in the ass".
"I know that darling".He winks."So what are you actually saying?".
"School is no fun,I want to drop out-".
"Don't you dare!Do you only come school for friends?".
"Duh!What else!".
He rolled his eyes and pinch the bridge of his nose.
'What had he expected from her?'Who had he offended in his past life to have make him fallen for her,a dummy!'.
"Besides i have a rich boyfriend and a rich family,what the heck is education use for now??".
Asher shook his head and ringed for a waitress.
The waitress came,took their order and left.
"I want to get engaged,married and give birth to a child,simple".She said nonchalantly.
"You're a pain in my ass".He commented.
And she couldn't agree more.
Later that day,when Gowon was now feeling better,she and Ted went to the hospital and registered her and also check on the baby and thankfully the baby was alive and kicking.
After that,they went out on a date,they chatted,joked and ate and then decided to call it a night.
Ted turned on the engine as Gowon put on her seatbelts.
The engine jerks into action and Ted started to drive towards Gowon's street.
Today he had made up his mind to propose to Gowon,he couldn't live without her and he can't wait to get married to her and spend the rest of his life with her.
Back then he hadn't believe in soul mates,to him it was nothing but superstitions.
"Ted,My mom told me about our marriage and they said we are the ones to set the date of our marriage".She spoke,snapping him out of his thought.
"Y..yes".
"I was thinking of next three months,i heard Madison will return and so do Aiden and Alexia ,i want them there,I don't want them to miss this".
Ted smiles and covered her hand with his."You have a big heart,Gowon".He comments.
She smiles."I never thought i will be the marrying type or even a mother but with you,all this is possible. ....I can't want any longer Ted,i love you so dearly so do me the favour of marrying me".She proposed and brought out a silver ring."Marry. .....".
Subconsciously,Ted stepped on the brakes and the car took another turn as they both bounce up and down in their seats.
"Sorry".He apologized and gently parked his car and turn off the engine."Are you okay?The baby?".
"All fine....even the ring".She giggle.
infuriated,Ted hop out of the car and slam the door and strode off with Gowon on his heels.
"Ted!!Ted!!!Wait,What the heck!!".She finally yelled as she spin him back."What happened?".
"Damn you Gowon,why are you always one step head of me...am the man here it's i that need to propose".He muttered,through gritted teeth and reach into his pocket for his own ring.
Seeing what was happening,she laughs. "Don't you know am the man in this relationship,you cute thing".She caress his cheek.
He frowns."A woman can't get you pregnant or can she?".
Seeing him angry,she burst into laugh."Fine,fine....".
"Marry me,Gowon...I know am not the perfect man for you,i know i can't give you all you want and wish-".He was quickly silenced by the finger that was placed on his lips.
"Shush Ted!You have already given me all i want and ever wished for even more than i expected and am satisfied....Marry me Ted and make me the happiest girl in this world".She took his hand and slide the ring in her finger as he does the same.
"I love you Gowon".He confessed,his eyes clouded with emotions.
"Me too".And she sealed his lips with hers.
