CHAPTER 64

It was finally the night of New year.

The Owens was hosting a New Year party,they all invited friends,employees,The Lee's family,Gowon,Teddy,Alexia and Aiden and also Keane's family(Vera and Franca) and family members.

Men and Women dressed beautifully crowded the lawn where the entire lawn was decorated with bulb dotted with table covered with white linen decorated with flowers and burning candles in glass bowls.

Waiter and waitress were passing tray of champagne among the guest who wishes for a drink.

Banquets tables was placed at the right and left side of the lawn,an orchestra was playing near the dance floor.

A huge multi layered cake with floral arrangements set at each side in the center of the lawn.

It has been a long time since Trina was watching Vera,she was looking for the perfect time to approach Vera.She watched as Vera went into the house.

"I need to follow her".She informed Asher and he nods.

"Be careful, all what you guys are saying will be video,so be careful on what you say".

"Yes".She stood on her toe and kissed him."No matter what happen between us don't come and interrupt us-".

"Trina-".She silenced him by placing her finger on his lips.

"Promise me,please".Asher forcefully agreed.

"I will inform the others".He said and walked off as Trina ran after Vera.

She finally met up with her.

"Vera!".She called."Follow me".Without waiting for her response Trina headed to the garden.

Vera strode towards her until they reached the garden.

"WHAT!".She snapped."Why did you call me".Trina shrugged.

"I don't know, I just wanted to talked".She intentionally brush off a strand of her hair behind her ear and Vera quickly caught a glimpse of a sparkling silver ring.

Vera grasp her by the wrist.

"What is this?".Trina laughed at her silly question.

"What do you think this is?don't you know what a ring is-".

"Who proposed!!".Vera asked scornfully.

Trina let out a sardonic laughter."Who in God's name would you think would propose?".Trina smiled.

She was glad that the fake ring was angering her dear cousin.Vera felt a poisonous resentment that runs down her body by staring at that ring.

"Asher".She grits her teeth in rage.

"You guessed right-".

"This can't happen,NO!".Vera never imagine that this would happen so fast,she was just planning her plan carefully and slowly to get rid of Trina and take back what belongs to her back especially Asher,the boy of her dream but now that they were engaged. ..

"NO!!!!".She kept yelling,tugging her hair in rage.

"Is it so surprising?Why would he wait when he is in love with me".Trina lips pathed into a smile on seeing the spiteful expression on Vera's face,judging by her facial look she looks extremely angry."Did you think you could snatch him away like you did to my inheritance and Aiden,huh?".

"They we're all meant for me,Me,Me but you often come and take it away from me!!"

"That's why you tried to poison me,huh?".

Vera face suddenly become pale."W...what?".

"You heard me quite well".Trina said with every step she took toward her.

"I...I did no such thing-".

"Lair!!you came to my house to poison me and Alexia cause you knew she would chase you to stop you.You did it to kill me and take what my Father left behind.How could you think of killing your own cousin, your blood!!!!".Trina yelled,letting her emotions get the bests of her,she couldn't believe Vera would go to that extend to get rid of her.

Although she was expecting Vera to avenge but she did not expect' DEATH' ."I always admired you when we we're little kids".She paused and wiped her tears."I will always say this again and again...your just a DARN THIEF-".

"AGHHH!!!".Vera growls as Trina received a pump slap,shutting her up."Shut up!".She yelled, glaring at Trina who held her cheek glaring back at her."Yes!Yes!I did it,I did it all to get you out of our lives,yes I tried to poison you".Vera admitted causing Trina to smile.

Vera grunts."I hate you with every soul of mine,I hate the fact that your father inherit what supposed to be my father's as the elder but they gave his younger brother. I should have been the one in that Mansion and the head of Owens prime industry not you ,you!!!".

"Uncle Keane never wanted all those,he wanted his own hard earn business that's why he refused to take over the Owens business".Trina retorts back.

"That's why am doing what my loser father refuse to do!".She scowl."You and your mother are psychopath and doesn't deserve to be the head of the Owens especially a bipolar disorder patient like you-".

"At least a person like me know the difference between good and bad".Trina scoffs."Here you are calling me a psycho when all your life you kept following the butt of a psychopath. Tsk,tsk,so pathetic".Vera face turned red with anger.

"You wretched bitch!am gonna kill you".Vera lunged at Trina."Am gonna make sure your buried and no one will find you again!".Vera yanked her by the hair and gave her a blow and another causing Trina to spit out warm blood.

Meanwhile in the lawn,Everyone exclaimed as they saw and heard what was happening.

Especially their relatives was ashamed.

Asher clench his hand in a fist."Am gonna kill Vera-".

"Chillax".Aiden pulled him back."Trina personally Said not to interfere ...not just yet".Aiden says.

Franca couldn't believe this was happening. All what her stupid arrogant daughter had said has gone viral and millions or billions of people are all watching this.She had to stop this.

Franca quickly dash inside.

"Lets go in now!".Aiden finally said as he sighted Franca who ran inside without been told twice Asher dash in as Aiden,Alexia and Gowon follows.

"Die!Die!Die!".Vera voice echoes. Vera wondered why her voice kept echoing. "Why am I hearing myself.ANSWER ME!".She yelled at Trina whose mouth was covered with blood.

"Vera!".Franca yelled and ran towards her.

"What!".She snapped.

"You bastard!!your been videoed and it has gone all over the net-".

"What!this was all a set up".Vera glared down at Trina."You planned this.Am gonna kill you".Vera strode at her but was pushed to the ground by Gowon.

"You filthy asshole!!!!".Blows from every corner landed on Vera.

"Trina!!!!".Asher ran toward her."Are you okay?".She nod and smiled."Great,the police are here".

"It's finally over".Trina mumbled and rested her head against Asher and pass out.
