CHAPTER 39

"A piece of advice pal,treat your fiancee well and stop poking your nose where you don't belong".Asher snaps with a hint of warning and rage in his eyes. He enters his car and zoom off.

Vera wipe off the tears in her eyes. 'So it was true,Asher was indeed in love with her silly cousin.why was her cousin always taking the most precious things and leaving her with garbage.

She glared at Aiden. 'How will she make Asher to love her willingly'.

She puffs and storm off.

Gowon pull away from the wall on seeing, Jasmina and Ted arriving. "The newest couple in town are finally back".She said sarcastically with a sublet smile.

"Gowon-".

"Shush!".She silence Ted and strode towards them."When....".She trail on seeing Jasmina shrieking in fear in Ted's arm who had pulled her into his arms. Gowon scoffs."Do you think am gonna hurt her?".

SILENCE.

"AM NOT A MONSTER YOU KNOW!!!!".She scream as she fought to hold back her tears."Am a human with a heart, I only beat up people who hurt those I love-".

"Gowon".Ted reach for her but she took a step back.

"I thought you understood me but I guess I was wrong".She wipe off her tears and hop on her bike and drove off.

Ted drops the shopping bags and was about to run after her but Jasmina pulls him back.

"Where the heck do you think your going!you can meet her at home,my dad is coming and his going to inspect here tomorrow, we got no time, get it".She snaps.

"Yes boss".He said sadly and obeyed as she smiled evilly.

NEXT DAY

Throwing the cover off her,Trina slip out of her bed and put on her slippers.

She was extremely excited that she couldn't sleep.

The sensation of been wrapped in Asher's arm and being called his girlfriend made her overwhelmed with happiness.

She took a quick bath and opened her dresser.

Clothes went flying over her head as she search for the perfect cloth.

A wide grin spread across her lips as she finally found her perfect outfit.

A classic midnight sleeveless strappy blue gown that reached above her kneels.

She quickly brought it out, put it and she slip into her white sneakers. It took some hours before she finish fixing her hair,putting on makeup and also grab her handbag and groceries bags and ran out of her house closing the door behind her.

She hop on her bicycle and rode to Asher's mansion.

As she arrived at his mansion, she alighted from her bicycle and gingerly walks into his house tilting her head side to side in search of Asher.

She sigh in relieve when she couldn't find Asher anywhere.

She carried the sack of groceries into the kitchen and set it on the kitchen counter."Am such a genius".She smiled.

If she hadn't asked Asher yesterday to meet with her at the cinema,she wouldn't have gotten him out of his house and her lovely surprise will be ruined.

She couldn't wait to see the look on his face especially when she accepts him and kiss him like never before.

She giggled and got to work.

Few minutes later,the delivery man drops her orders and she paid him,she quickly decorate everywhere with flowers,balloons, love cards and set the love cake which boldly wrote 'ILOVE YOU' on it into the fridge.

She had come to love Asher,the way she hadn't come to love anyone, he had showed her love,care,support, he was always there when she needed him,when she needs a shoulder to cry on,he was there to wipe her tears,comfort her,pick her up when she had fallen,he made her laugh, smile, he was the stars that brightens her night and put a big smile that can never fades away from her face.

She was in love with Asher Lee and she was going to make him hers and no one else.

After decorating the gardens,kitchen and living room,she made her way to the kitchen and continued what she was doing.

An hour later,she set the dishes on the dinning table and sniffs the air,the sweet scent of different varieties of fine rich dishes filled her nostrils.

She opened the fridge intending to bring out the cake when she heard footsteps.

A wide smile forms on her lips.'That must be her Asher'.She quickly repaint her lips,adjust her gown and uses her fingers to brush her hair.

She jumped into the living and tossed flowers into the air."SURPRISE.....".Her voice trails as she was looking at Kim who had a smirk across his lips.

"What? Why didn't you go on?".He laughed and looked around with his hands behind his back."This is indeed a romantic surprise Katrina".He hum and intend to take a bite of the brown fish cake she prepared specifically for Asher when her cold hand wrap around his wrist pulling him away.

"It isn't yours".She said flatly.

"Are all this for your dear Asher?".He chuckled. "Do I have to remind you his in love with Alexia?".

"Am his girlfriend-".

"Fake".He paused" Fake girlfriend".He drawl out for it to sink in her heart and hurt her and he succeeded.

He gingerly made his way to the bar and poured himself a glass of brandy and sip it.

"Am not his fake girl-".

"Miss Katrina Owens the daughter of Jason Owen who died in a car accident after his sudden dead,Miss Katrina Owen went into depression or should I say she was diagnosed with dipolar disorder and was sent out of the country to be treated and only to return to see her fiance was taken by her Cousin Vera who took over all your father property, then she met with Asher and he agreed to pay her to be his fake girlfriend".Kim interrupted, twirling his drink, he glance at Trina to see her trembling.

"Oh no!".He exclaims dramatically. "Did I scare you?".He laughs and strode towards her and yanked her wrist painfully. "Stay faraway from Asher".He said husky. "You don't deserve him especially his wealth.Alexia deserves him and his wealth which it will soon be mine if she marries him.Asher is still in love with Alexia and she's the only one that's right for him not you,whose life is built upon hatred, envy and lies, how you sure that woman you see everyday is your so called mother-".

"What?".Trina could only mutter.
