CHAPTER 34

Days went by with Trina getting used to her new job and avoiding Asher.

The thought of loving again scares her so badly and losing Asher's friendship.Ted also tries to adapt to his new job which he loves,he often receives compliment from his colleagues cause of his natural talent and finally felt that he belong here.

Meanwhile,Reuben was trying every single way for Madison to accept his love which he had for her,the thought of her not loving him again made him crazy not knowing she felt the same way but scared to let him in her world and see how messed up it was and will have to leave her heartbroken.

Finally it was the day Gowon has been waiting for.This was the day the Rookie (Gage's boy band) bands was performing at' Caleb Night Club'.And she couldn't wait,she loved boyz bands and always wished to be a guitarist . She search through her dresser looking for an outfit to wear tonight. Trina who sat on the bed hugging her leg spoke."What's so exciting about this band that is performing tonight? Isn't he Gage the guy who you hate-".

"Once hate".She corrected as she tossed a black cloth to Trina.

"What is this for?".

"Your coming duh!-".

"No..am not I got better things to do-".

"Like avoiding Asher.Tell me girl what is really going on between you two".Gowon fell on the bed and looked up at her.

"He..he likes me".

"He finally admits it?it's obvious that he does and let me guess you're afraid of being heartbroken right?".Trina nods."But do you like him?".Trina sigh.

"I don't know. Am just confused and I can't think straight when his with me cause his words keeps ringing in my head".

"And that's why you need to party. I will call Ted to join us".She stood up from the bed and grab her phone.

Jasmina eyes lits up like a Christmas light on seeing Ted the man she has a crush on since he stepped into her company.

She straighten her strawberry blond hair and tucked her pink stripe behind her ear."Hey Ted".She waved at him and walk towards him."What you doing?".

"Just drawing".He said closing the book and putting it in his bag.

"You haven't gone home yet?".He shook his head.

"About to".She giggle. His cuteness was so adorable.

"Let me drop you off".She suggested.

"Thanks but I can manage" .He rejected her offer politely. He reached into his pocket to pick up the phone that was ringing."Excuse me".She nods and watched him carefully smiling. She couldn't help but notice how cheerful his voice was while talking to the person at the other line of the phone.After a while he hanged up and picked his bag."Is that your friend calling?".

Girl-".

"Can I join you?I overheard your going to a club can I join?".She asked hopefully.

"Sorry, friends only".He said and walked away before she pleads and will have to forcefully agree.

Jasmina gasps as she fought to hold back her tears."I will make you mine".She swore.

IN THE CLUB

Gage's band is rocking so hard, screaming guitars,furious drums and shouting lyrics filled the air that no one can hardly hear themselves. Gowon was on the dance floor with a beer in her hand dancing to the beat while Trina drinks her cocktail and shout out the lyrics she knew.

"Hey Tri,where is Gowon? ".She heard Ted scream for her to hear clearly. Before she could reply Gowon made her presence known by screaming.

"This rocks".She laughs and embraced Ted who wrap her in his arms."Am glad you came,you just made me the happiness girl in the world".Ted smile and stole a quick kiss.

"Am glad I make you feel that way.You dance pretty well".He commented.

"Please don't make me jealous" .Trina chip in.

"Whatever".Gowon laughs.

"Hey!".Gage called and made his way towards them."You came".His smile fell as he sighted Gowon in Ted's arm.

"Of course,l love rock'n'roll .Whoo!!".She screams. "Let me introduce myself am Gowon, this is my bestfriend Katrina or Kat or Trina or Rina,she got way too much name-".

"Oh!Shut up!".Trina nudged her causing them to burst into laughter. "And this is my boyfriend" Gage face tightens as he glare at Ted and he stretch out his hand for hand shake."Nice meeting you".He paused."Again".

"Me..me too".Ted manage to say as he shook him.

"Cool guitar Gowon loooves guitars" .Trina says and recline her arms on the table.

"Really?".His eyes widen."I always knew you were different. Come with me let me show you my collection of guitars".He suggested, Gowon glance at Ted for approval,he gave a slight nod for her to go .

In a blink of an eye Gowon and Gage was gone."You shouldn't have agreed if you really don't want her to go with him".Trina says as he sigh.

"Am just afraid that she might choose him over me cause his cool,has the bad boy looks,has an amazing band and cool guitar but am just a nerd".He sigh in depressions.

"Gowon loves you the way you are, let her know how much you loves her and don't try to avoid her cause you think your a loser. .I got to pee".She stood up and dash into the ladies room,after a while she walked out feeling relieved.

"Hypocrisy" .She heard Asher say. He was leaning on the wall,hands in his pocket as he stared at his foot."That's what they call does who doesn't practice what they preach".He looked up at her,his unusual eyes sparkle in a teasing manner.

"W..what are you doing here?".She asked her voice cracking.

"Clubbing duh".He said. Each steps he took towards her made her heart to pound furiously."I never heard Katrina Owens owns this club".He said sarcastically. "Practice what you preach dummy" .

"Those words is for people who are in love-".

"I am in love".She choked by his words."Is not like have never said it before dumdum".He flicks her head as she cries out.

"I got to go".Before she could take a step she was pinned against the wall,hands on either side of her head.

"Why have you been avoiding me?".He inquiries without a hint of his usual sarcastic tone.

"Y..you..said y..you like me-".

"Luuurve you".He corrected as his eyes sparkles once again.

"You definitely said like-".

"Love".

"Like".She argued. "My God!your so lame. .how can you argue about such thing".She said and look away from his eyes which was penetrating into her,watching her carefully.

"I know your still hurting from the betrayal or your just scared to love again and I understand you more than anyone that's why I want you to love me back when your heart is ready and when that time reaches I will be waiting for you. But for now don't avoid me and let me love you even if you can't return it now but at least see me as that friend you once knew that always put a smile across your lips".He lifted her chin up so she could look at him clearly. "Hm?".She smiled."Yes".

"Good".He mumbled and lean in as she held her breath. Was he finally going to kiss her.

He pecked her lips and pulled away."See you tomorrow" .He pads away leaving her breathless.
