CHAPTER 17

Vera glad no professor had walk in by the time she returned to class.

Quickly,she sat down with her friends.

"What took you so long?".Jodi asked.

"I needed to go freshen up".She replies,taking her books."Am sitting with Prince Asher".She took her books and made her way towards him and stared at the empty seat beside him before looking back at him.

She tries to stop her heart from beating too fast but it was useless,so she mustered courage.

And she cleared her throat getting his attention."Do you mind if i sit next to you,Prince Asher?".

"Even if am a millionaire i don't own a seat"He said.

She secretly smile before sitting next to him."Er...Am Vera by the way,do you mind if I call you Asher?".

"Please do,am tired of people calling me Prince".He lean closer and whisper."A little warning am not as noble as a prince am rather troublesome that's what someone usually say".He winked at her,grinning like a child.

"Ow".She toyed with her fingers nervously.'All this time she had attended this school she had always admired Asher and thought he was a snob but now it was proven he wasn't,infact he was just too friendly.

She squint her eyes at Aiden who just walked in and she received a dirty look from him but she didn't care any less as long she was with Asher.

When class was finally over,Asher stood up grumbling. "Is time to see that dummy".

"Is it your student?".Asked Vera,playing ignorant over the fact she already knew who he was referring to.

"She".He corrected."And yes it's her".

"Is she tough to handle?If she is I could help you out-".

"No need".He quickly brush that idea off."She's an interesting person".He stated with happiness riding in his eyes and that Vera envied.

"Er...Asher,could you help solve this?I don't seem to understand".She said,crossing her fingers behind her back hoping he agrees.

"Alright but not now maybe tomorrow at noon".She nodded viciously."Bye".He waved and walk off.

She pressed her book to her chest as a smile curve on her lips.

But it fades off within a second when.....

Aiden called her name,sounding harsh.

"Aiden--".He quickly silenced her by violently pulling her to her feet,gripping her hand tightly.

"What the heck are you doing with Asher???".He asked enraged.

"Isn't he our classmate?Let go of my hand you're hurting me!".She snapped trying to wiggle out of his hard grip.

"Did you see the way you're stupidly smiling at him....stay away from him".

"You have no right to tell me who and who not to befriend!!-".

"Am your damn fiancee.Damn you Vera!".He roared.

Vera swat his hand away from her."If you two are enemies then how does that concern me???".She retorts.

"Why can't you listen to me?If it was Trina she would never....".Before he could have finish his statement,he received a sounding slap from Vera.

"How dare you compare me with that lunatic".Aiden tries to touch her telling her he was sorry but she roughly shoved him away and scoffed."Do you remember your company still lies in my hands,so watch how you talk to me.Stop ordering me around instead it should be the other way round!".And with a snort,she stormed off.

And Aiden collapsed on a near by chair."What have I gotten myself into".He wondered.

After the last lecturer left for today,Trina picked up her bag and arranged her books into it.

Madison wore a mischievous smile on her face and she nudged Trina getting her attention. "Going to Asher?".She asked in a teasing manner.

"Yeah,to my Mentor,remember?".Trina quickly say before Madison would get the wrong idea.

"Asher is too nice to you but Reuben treats me differently,he even calls me a fat ass,a pig.I hate him!!".

Trina hugs her from behind."A beautiful pig then-".

"HEY!!".Madison laughs as Teddy joins in.

"Have never seen a pig that's pretty".He chuckles.

"Fine fine you're so pretty,you have to stop wrapping yourself in all this heaps of big clothes".Trina says,hanging her bag over her shoulder.

"You know why the hell I wear this,it's to reveal my curves to those stupid humans called 'MEN'.No offense taken Ted".Madison say and he nods,not feeling a least offended.

"Especially Nike....that remind you i haven't told you, my bestfriend broke Linda's pretty head".And Trina burst into laughter as the others follows.

"No wonder i don't see her around,kudos to your friend".Madison gave her a thumbs up."I would luurve to meet her".

"You surely will if you make it to the parttty".Trina sang dancing around.

"Hell yeah i am".Madison chorus and they both looked at Ted who was adjusting his glasses. "I. ..i guess so".He stammers.

"Great.See you all later".Trina waved and exit the classroom.

"What a nice fellow".Ted quickly agrees before saying.

"Madison,can i ask you something?".

She nods."Yeah"

"You like Reuben right".Without hesitation she nods."There is a girl I like and i want her to admit the fact she likes me too-".

"Wait,let me guess Trina's bestfriend?".She asked.

"Yeah,i was told that if you wants to see if someone really likes you try making them jealous".

"So you're saying we should act as if we are a thing and make her and Reuben jealous at the same time?".Ted nods in agreement. "This will be so much fun".She say with a sly smile forming on her lips.
