Deadly Clash Between Two Beasts

Rushing forward for a short while, Joshua immediately ducked under the cover of some thick heap of wild bushes and secretly peeped at the deadly battle currently taking place about fifty metres away from him.

Swiping claws and ramming tusk against each other with nothing but a desire to claim the life of their opponent and remain the only standing between the two of them were two Beast Joshua easily recognised as a Mountain Bear and a Raging Boar from his inherited memories.

"What the hell?, thus earning them their name? Then, what's a Mountain Bear doing all the way here from the sunscreen mountains of the east?" Joshua thoughts immediately went into overdrive the very moment he layed eyes on both Beast.

Taking a good look at the still battling Raging Boar, Joshua suddenly froze for a few seconds before screaming inwardly "What kind of Raging Boar would be powerful enough to face off against a Mountain Bear when it's sub-species genetic potential was also limited to Rank Three Common Grade if grown in the wild?"

"Come to think of it, this Raging Boar kinda looks a bit different from regular ones" working in line with Joshua's thought, his sage ability instantly kicked in and fully displayed to him the templates of both Beast.

Even though the appearance of both Beast templates had came as an unexpected surprise to Joshua, he still gladly took his time to carefully study it so as to fully understand what to expect If he should ever have to go against any of them.

Deactivating it, Joshua returned his attention to the battle once more.

By this time, the Raging Boar which stood around two metres tall and three metres long with two one metre long menace looking tusk on its jaw released a loud snort and rushed towards the Mountain Bear, activating it's 'Charge' skill in process which cause it's entire body to be shrouded by a red glow.

Having learned the hard way, the Mountain Bear which stood over two and a half metres tall didn't dare to take the Raging Boar 'Charge' head on as it quickly hauled it's body to the side and evaded it.

Bam!

The charging boat couldn't stop itself in time before running into a tree and getting it's tusk stuck in it. Meanwhile, the Mountain Bear refusing to waste such a heaven given opportunity hurrily approached the Raging Boar from behind and swiped at it's butt with it's claws.

Ggrrrhhhh....!!!

The Raging Boar snorted in both anger and pains as it strugglishly pulled out it's tusk from the tree before the Mountain Bear had the opportunity to strike again.

The Raging boar raised both it's front hove's and slammed them back again on the ground forcefully, causing the entire landmass within three metres of it's whole body to shack heavily as if it was experiencing a minor earthquake.

Immediately after being thrown off balance by the Raging Boar 'Trample' skill, the Mountain Bear wasn't fast enough to evade the charge of the Raging Boar this time around and pierced by it's tusk while also being rammed by it's jaw, was thrown over ten metres back.

However, was a Mountain Bear which was also a Rank Four Common Grade Beast, such a creature that could be taken down easily? Not really!

Thanks to its Elementary Resilient Fur innate ability assisting it in nullifying most of its external damages caused by the Raging Boar 'Charge' Innate skill.

The Mountain Bear soon picked itself up from the ground and once again hauled itself at the partly resting Raging Boar due to the side-effects of continuously activating it's skills three times in a row.

Growl....!!! Bam! Bam! Bam!

Both Beast began clashing against each other once more. This time around, more deadlier than before as skills kept in being used in conjugation with each other.

Whenever the Mountain Bear uses 'Furious Growl', to stunt the Raging Boar, it will use 'Trample' to counter it before retaliating with a 'Charge' Which the Mountain Bear will it's possible best to evade before responding back with a 'Ripping Claw' of it's own.

Such a situation went on for over ten minutes before both Beast haggardly fell to the ground bloody and beaten at the same time.

With both of them out of soul power, neither of them had the strength to continue fighting any longer and could only warily stare at each other while the bodies slowly tries to recover it.

Joshua who has remained hidden all these while was way over the moon because of these golden opportunity to slay and plunder the corpses of two Mid Rank Common Grade Beast.

It should be known that within the nine ranks of every Beast Tamer realm, Rank One to Three were usually seen as Low ranks while Rank Four to Six were seen as Mid Ranks and finally from Rank Seven to Nine were usually seen as High Ranks.

This was because of the qualitative changes which always occurs after every quantitative accumulation of three ranks. And with the third one being the most significant, it will directly enhance the Beast Tamer level of existence and thus propel him or her into a higher realm.

And that's why it was way easier for a Rank Two Beast Apprentice to defeat a rank Three Beast Apprentice or a Rank Two Common Grade Beast to take on a rank Three Common Grade Beast and win than it was for a Rank Three Beast Apprentice to defeat a Rank Four Beast Apprentice or a Rank Three Common Grade Beast to win against a Rank Four Common Grade Beast.

This was also another reason why most battles between Common Grade Beast dwelling in Low Grade Wildzones usually ends in just a few seconds.

However today, Joshua was lucky enough to come across a battle between two Common Grade Beast of the same rank and nearly the same combat power which in turn lead to such an outcome.

"Like an experienced fisherman would say. It's time to tell in the net" Joshua spoke with a light chuckle as he slowly walked out of his hiding spot in order to grab the attention of both Beast while ordering his Metallic Python to sneakily ambush the Mountain Bear from a hidden angle and kill it using her Entangle skill.

Since between these two Rank Four Common Grade Beast, the Mountain Bear posed more of a treath to him than of the Raging Boar as the latter skills were more predictable and evadable than that of the former as long as he kept his distance.
