CHAPTER 2

Zona walk deep into the forest , looking around if she could find any animal to hunt down. She stop when she heard a noise coming from the bush nearby so she moved, since it is already dusk she couldn't see anything but with the little help of the full moon she could only see shadows. The noise became louder as the cold night breeze blow the trees and the bushes, she moved to the bush ,holding the arrow on her bow firmly ,but she halt when she heard a voice of a man . she move closer to see a man on a cloak groaning in pains , she knelt beside him and try to help him but couldn't then she realized he had been shot on his left leg.

" Fuck! you bastard can't you see am in pain?He hissed angrily and snatch her hand away from him. Zona flare up and shook her head but when she realized that he was passing through pains she became silent and inspect his leg to see if she could see any bullet on his it but she couldn't see it since it was dark so she went instead to look for a special herbal leaf that will help reduce the pain but before she came back with the leaf , he had already passed out so she gathered some fire wood and light it before settling down to handle the task of removing the bullet before tying the herbal leaf on his leg. After she is sure he is alright , since she couldn't leave him she sat by his side all night staying alert until morning

Ray woke up to see a skinny woman lying at his feet , He tried to stand but a sharp pain on his leg stopped him . Then she moved sleepily ,accidentally touching his bruised leg which made him flinch and groans in pain

"Fuck!!!! , whosoever you are stand up " He said gritting his teeth with anger. zona wake up looking at the angry man in front of her.

"You.....are awake" she said looking at the bright sky . it was already dawn she thought as she stand up to take her bow

"who the fuck are you" He ask as he sit up paying more attention to his leg.

"That's not a nice way to talk to a girl" She said glaring at him.

"Girl? He asked surprised , now paying attention to the lady in front of him. He assessed her attire and give her a weird look

" Are you a transgender?

"What? How dare you" She asked glaring at the man who was also glaring at her and also wearing an annoying smirk.

"Well you should dress like a female . Anyway take me out of here" He said arrogantly

"you know what am done here" she said taking her bow from the floor. " and you know what I don't know who the fuck you are and I don't wanna know, you know why ? you sucks" she said and began to leave.

"Hey , I will pay you to help me ,just take me out of here" He said and she stop mid way . He was going to pay her ,which means she will be able to provide for her grandma and herself. With the thought of what she will do with the money she walk towards him

"Fine I will help you if you can first tell me who the hell you are? She said aggressively . Ray frown and look at her with surprise . How come she didn't recognize him

" You're joking right? He asked with a scowl on his face

"I don't joke Mr" she said standing ,with a folded arms on her chest , looking at him sternly .

" How come you haven't heard of me? I am Prince Raymond " He said with much pride but it didn't affect zona instead she arch an eyebrow

"From which kingdom"

He groan and look at her with disbelief

"Seriously ? I am from this kingdom , I mean the crowned Prince of vindelle "

She rolled her eyes at the way he proudly introduce himself.

"And so? How did you get here?

Ray gave her a disgusted look before answering.

" I am paying you for this job so it is not your business how I got here"

Zona shook are head before bending down to his level. "So arrogant , you know it won't hurt to be a little nice"

"Can you stop talking and take me out of here"

" Well am not going to. If you treat me like one of your servants "

"Even with 70 silver shekels?" He asked

"Even with 70 silver shekels" she replied

Ray shrug and gave her an helpless look, which made her smirk at her victory . she went and arrange a carriage to take him home when she return to him she lean to help him.

"hmmm .... I don't want people to know my identity" He said

she looked at him and said "no one will know it is you"

They drove to the palace. zona gasp when she saw how gigantic and magnificent the palace is . The palace rooms will be more than 300 she thought and she was right.

The stubborn guard who refused to open the gate because according he cannot allow " commonals " inside the palace. but when Ray took off the cap of his cloak He was afraid and quickly apologize but Ray dismiss him with his hand.
