Chapter 15

Oboro bowed respectfully before leaving Sir Edwin's office. Before she was about to open the door, Ingrid walked in and saw Oboro about to leave,"Well, if it isn't the ex-Taimanin Oboro~" she said mockingly.

Ruri's P.O.V

Ruri's body throbbed with pain as the medic continued to tend to his injuries. He winced as they applied a healing salve to his wounds, the cool sensation providing some relief. The room was filled with the hushed whispers of the guards, their concern palpable.

"Sir, you're lucky to be alive," one of the guards remarked, his voice filled with awe.

Ruri clicked his teeth,"Luck had nothing to do with it. I won't let a mere human humiliate me again."

The guards exchanged glances, their respect for Ruri evident in their eyes. They had witnessed his strength and prowess firsthand, and they knew that he had a massive ego.

As the medic finished treating his injuries, Ruri slowly sat up, his body still weak but his anger was still evident on his face. He looked around the room, his gaze meeting the eyes of each guard.

"I appreciate your help," Ruri said, his voice filled with gratitude. "But now, I need answers. I need to know who this human is and why they attacked me."

The guards nodded in understanding, their expressions serious. "We will do everything in our power to find out, sir. We won't rest until we find him."

Ruri's eyes narrowed, his smile turned creepy. "Good. Because I won't rest either. This human will pay for what his done."

As Ruri spoke, his mind raced with thoughts of revenge. He couldn't let this incident go unpunished. He had a duty to protect the organization, and he would stop at nothing to ensure its safety.

Meanwhile, in Oboro's P.O.V

Oboro stormed down the hallway, her anger simmering beneath the surface. Ingrid's mocking words echoed in her mind, fueling her hatred towards Ingrid. 'I will make all my demon slaves rape you over and over and over again!!!!' she said screaming in her head.

As she walked, she couldn't help but notice the gossiping from the other soldiers. They had heard about Ruri's condition and was deeply shocked that a human did that. Oboro knew that she had to find answers and bring the responsible human to Sir Edwin, not only for Ruri's sake but for the sake of the entire organization reputation.

She reached the command center, where a team of investigators was already hard at work, gathering information and analyzing the evidence. Oboro approached the lead investigator, her voice firm and commanding.

"What have you found so far?" she asked, her eyes piercing like a knife.

The investigator looked up, a mix of exhaustion and nervousness in their eyes. "We've gathered witness statements and surveillance footage from the area. It seems that the human responsible for Ruri's injuries is highly skilled and has some knowledge of our organization."

Oboro's grip tightened on the edge of the table, her frustration mounting. "How is that possible? We must have a mole within our ranks."

The investigator nodded, their expression grim. "That's a possibility we're considering. We're conducting background checks on all personnel and looking for any signs of suspicious activity."

Oboro's mind raced with possibilities. If there was a traitor among them, it could jeopardize everything they had worked for. She couldn't let that happen.

"Continue your investigation," Oboro ordered, her voice filled with rage. "Leave no stone unturned. We must find this mole and bring that human alive!!!!"

The investigator nodded, they were already beyond scared. "We won't let-let....you down, Madam Oboro. We'll find the answers you seek."

As Oboro left the command center, her mind was filled with a mix of anger and excitement. She would not rest until she had uncovered the truth and find that stupid human. He had made a grave mistake by underestimating N.O.M.A.D. And he would soon learn the consequences of their actions.

EDWIN BLACK'S P.O.V

After Oboro left the room Edwin put his hands together and thought, 'I can't believe a mere human can actually injure one of my high ranking officers. But that makes no sense, he doesn't have any kind of special bloodline right? Mmmm I need him alive so I can find out if my guess is correct.' he then looked towards Ingrid who is messaging his shoulders.

Ingrid notices his gaze, "What's wrong my love?" She asked while still messaging his shoulders.

Edwin pondered over the situation, he couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and curiosity. The fact that a mere human had managed to injure one of his high-ranking officers was perplexing. He knew that Ruri possessed demonic abilities, so how could this human have posed such a threat?

Turning his attention to Ingrid, who was massaging his shoulders, Edwin spoke with a determined tone. "Ingrid, I have a task for you. I want you to gather as much information as possible about this human who dared to attack Ruri."

Ingrid's eyes sparkled with excitement as she nodded in agreement. "Consider it done, my dear. Do you wish for him to be alive or dead?"

Edwin smiled, appreciating Ingrid's unwavering loyalty and dedication. "I want to know everything about this human's background, their skills, and any possible connections they may have. I want him alive"

Ingrid's fingers continued to work their magic on Edwin's tense muscles as she replied, "Rest assured, my love. I will use all my resources and contacts to dig deep into this matter. No one will be able to hide from me."

Edwin's gaze shifted back to the door through which Oboro had exited. He knew that she will be able to find the responsible human as well. The organization's reputation was at stake, and they couldn't afford to let this incident go unpunished.

"We must work together, Ingrid," Edwin said, his voice filled with excitement. "We will find this human and make him my puppet. They will regret ever crossing paths with N.O.M.A.D."

After Ingrid left, Edwin's mind raced with thoughts of the possible consequences for the human who had dared to challenge his organization. He knew that they would pay dearly for their actions, and he would make sure of it.
