25. Talent!

The room was deadly silent. The branch master was drenched in sweat, he was scared, truly scared. He has offended a madman.

Elder Shi looked at the kneeling man and replied plainly.

" Get me a talent testing platform, the highest tier. As for your punishment.... it depend on my mood."

Like a drowning man grasping his last lifeline the branch master bolted out. He went out to the storage to get the best talent testing platform available.

Elder Shi smiled at the dumfounded Kail standing next to him and patted his shoulders.

" Young man, morals and character should never be bend for others. You did well."

Kail snapped out and immediately bowed. He didn't understand what kind of person Elder Shi was but from how the branch master acted he knew he was someone of status.

The blaze family leader hastily got up and bowed respectfully.

" Forgive my rudeness, first elder. My name is Eli Blaze, this is my daughter Lily Blaze. It's my fortune to meet you! "

Elder Shi looked at him and chose to ignore him. The blaze family leader however didn't get angry.

What a joke! The man before him was a warrior King, what right did he have to get mad at him? If he was in a bad mood he could utterly decimate his family.

Ignoring the awkward silence he pressed on.

" I am sorry for my rudeness earlier! If I may, can I invite elder to our family? "

Elder Shi smiled lightly.

" You are the blaze family head? "

" Yes! "

" Does your family have any inns? "

" Of course! Our family has the best hotels in this city! If elder want I can arrange for the best room for you! "

Elder Shi nodded. He wasn't in the mood to search for a hotel and frankly he wanted to have a nice long bath as soon as he is done with Zoro's talent test.

The blaze family leader was quite ecstatic. He understood what kind of position first elder held. No kidding, his status is only below the head of Forger Association.

He looked to the young man beside Elder Shi, a light flickered in his eyes.

Zoro wasn't interested in any of these talks. He found a corner and sat down with his swords rested on his shoulder.

" Zoro, don't sleep. We will leave immediately once the test is done."

" I know. We could have done this after cleaning up, why did we have to come here directly? "

" Show some interest brat! I am not here to test my talent, it's yours! "

" Like I said we could have done that later."

Elder shi's mouth twitched at Zoro's reasoning. Apart from swords and training the brat was completely uninterested in everything.

The blaze family head saw this scene and stared. From what he understood the young man seemed to be the first elders disciple and according to his knowledge the first elder never had a disciple..... till now.

He scanned the young man and found nothing special about him but would the first elder who has never taken in any disciple choose someone ordinary?

Not likely.

Which means the young man was quite special.

' If I could build a connection with him.....

He looked at his daughter who was startled and dumbfounded at this situation and seemed to have thought of something.

The branch manager suddenly entered with a white square shaped tile with a construct having three layers of stars.

The first layer of stars represented talent in Qi Cultivation.

The second layer of stars represented talent in Element.

The third layer of stars represented purity of Qi.

" Elder, this is the best testing platform we have! "

Elder Shi waved his hand. The white block immediately left the branch master's hand and levitated in air before it fell into Elder shi's hands.

He placed it on the table and said.

" Zoro, come."

Zoro stood up and walked towards the platform. He was familiar with the process so without further ado he placed his hand on a dent on the white tile and channeled his Haki into it.

Everyone was looking at the platform with bated breath, especially blaze family leader.

A disciple taken by first elder, what kind of talent did he have?

This question floated inside their minds.

Even after several seconds, the platform was silent. The first layer and second layer was still without any change.

' What!? No talent!? '

The blaze family head and branch master was shocked. They looked at the young man, quite astonished. Then they looked at Elder Shi and was again shocked.

Elder Shi was grinning from ear to ear.

' Why is the first elder happy? '

This question was soon answered. The third layer which represented purity of Qi started to light up.

1 star, 2 star, 3 star.... 9 star!!

By this time their shock of Zoro having no talent took a complete turn of a young man with monstrous talent.

" Hahaha! I knew it! Ha! Special element! "

The branch manager and the rest understood why the first two layers didn't light up. Unlike the third layer the first two layers would use the nature of one's qi and light up accordingly.

The last layer uses an internal circuit to combine the qi with a neutral energy and see how well it mixes. This energy then lights up the last layer.

All of them focused on the fist two layers and saw an unbelievable sight.

Both the layers were completely filled with sword scars naked to the eye. If one didn't look closer they wouldn't even realize it was there.

What was shocking was that, all nine stars from two layers were filled with these scars.

' This..... Nine star talent in Qi training and Elemental ability. And it's a special element, sword intent!! Where did this kid come from!? '
