Stay... Stay... Stay

Alejandro gradually pulled himself from embracing Selena. He gave her a sincere smile and slowly caressed her cheeks.

"Would you like to rest?"

Selena shook her head, not feeling sick anymore and she's not sure whether it's because of the pills she took or Alejandro.

"I am glad to hear that," he replied as he continued caressing her cheeks with his knuckles.

"Did Killian ask you to come here?"

"No. I just overheard his conversation with my mom," after Alejandro said that, a knock on the door followed by Killian's voice disturbed their moments.

"Selena, can I come in? My mom is with me," Selena's eyes went round after knowing that Alejandro's mother is outside. She hastily got up and dragged Alejandro with her.

Without wearing her shoes, she opened the closet and pushed Alejandro inside, then, she squeezed herself in the closet and closed the door.

"Why are we hiding?" Alejandro whispered into her ears.

Selena was dumbfounded by her action as well; she placed a finger on her lips and asked him to not speak.

Inside the closet, Alejandro and Selena were hiding like ninjas, they were facing each other, squeezing their body in the small space of the closet.

When they heard the door opening, Alejandro pulled her closer by wrapping an arm around her waist. Selena gasped and immediately covered her mouth to silence herself.

'Where is Selena?' they could hear the voice of a woman, it was soft – perfect for singing a lullaby.

'I don't know. Maybe she went out," Killian replied.

'Oh! Is that so. Well go and find her,' after a woman voice said that, they heard footsteps leaving the room.

When the door closed, Selena slowly pushed the closet door opened. She stepped out of it while Alejandro followed her.

She exhaled in relief after seeing the empty room.

"So, care to tell me why we were hiding earlier?" Alejandro spoke from behind.

Selena sat on the end of the bed and patted the space next to her, Alejandro immediately got her message and sat next to her.

"I just don't think it will be nice if your mom will find you here with me alone." She sighed and looked at the space.

"Why? It's not like we are doing something bad."

"I know but I came here with Killian. If she finds you here with me, she would think that I am playing with her sons. I am accompanying her son Killian and then hugging you, even to me, it sounded wrong," she wanted to feel guilty but she's not. She guessed she just doesn't want to meet Alejandro's mom in this way.

"Ok, if that's what you want. Anyway, I will go now," saying that Alejandro got up and walked out.

His steps stopped when Selena held his wrist. He turned and found Selena holding him tightly, her face was slightly elevated and eyes looking straight into his eyes.

"Will you meet me at the deck later?" her thin lips parted to say those words.

Alejandro gave a candy cane smile and nodded, after that, Selena let his hand go and he left the room.

Being alone in the room, Selena let out the smile she has been holding for a long time. She got up and paced around the room, shaking both hands while taking a deep breathe one after another.

Her heart pounded like never before, a smile was on her lips that no one could ever remove.

(He likes me!) she shrieked inside. With the excitement flowing in her body, Selena picked up her phone and dialed Barney's number.

Before the first ring ended, Barney answered the phone.

"Selena," Selena's eyes went narrowed when she heard chattering in the background, exceeding Barney's voice.

"Where are you?" she asked with confusion.

"I am on the ship. Alejandro's father invited me in. What's wrong?" his voice was full of concern as he speaks.

"Barney! I am also invited. I am at Killian's cabin. I will meet you there," without waiting for his reply, Selena ended the call and rushed out of the room.

She was holding the doorknob when she suddenly remembered that she was not wearing her shoes.

She swiftly ran back and put her shoes on, and with the same speed, she ran out of the room.

Along the passageway of the ship, the cold breeze touches her skin repeatedly, causing her body to shiver.

"Selena?" a woman voice has made Selena's feet to stop from moving.

Selena's eyes swelled, while her heart palpitated. It's been so long since the last time she heard the same voice. The voice of the woman whom she had been avoiding for years.

She swallowed hard and turned around to face the source of the voice and when she finally did, she did not only see 'her' but, also a man whom she has known for her whole life.

"Maddie, Anders" she faintly said, her lips remained slightly opened from the shock of seeing them.

"What are you doing here?" she continued. Gradually, her eyes lowered into Maddie's stomach. There was a huge bump on it, anyone would think that she will deliver her first kid soon.

When she met Maddie's eyes, they were twinkling with happiness. And right there and then, Selena felt a huge rock has been lifted off of her shoulder.

"I missed you!" Maddie said and spread her arms, waiting for her hug.

If it was before, Selena would find an excuse not to hug, she would probably use her pregnancy and ran away but now, she was no longer bitter. And seeing Anders so happily and contently standing next to Maddie has made her realized that they were really meant for each other.

So, she walked towards them with big steps, and when she finally reached them, her arms wrapped around her huge tummy and gave her a hug.

Whispering into Maddie's ear, Selena said, "I've missed you too Maddie."
