Chapter 16 I Owed You My Life

Inside the cave were three women and one man lying on the bed. The man asked, feeling curious.

"Where did you find me?"

"I don't know ask, Anna" Bianca replied because John is looking at her

John changed her gaze and looked at Anna.

"Actually I found you in the forest, when I'm gathering firewood. I saw you lying there full of blood I though your already dead so I checked your breathing. But when I feel you are breathing I tried pulling you all the way to the forest, to this cave" Anna told John what happened.

"Thank you for saving me," John said gratefully, from what Anna did "I owe you my life."

"You should be, Anna is the one who's taking care of you all day. She's even the one who wiped and clean your body every day" Bianca told John what happened every day.

"Thank you, I'm sorry I can't thank you properly I can't still move yet" John replied with forgiveness.

"Don't be, It's nothing," Anna said with a smile. "I couldn't just leave you there to die."

Christine nodded in agreement with Anna.

"So, do you remember what happened to you?" Bianca asked the first question what she had asked earlier.

John looked at Bianca, in the eye and said.

"I was fighting, an anaconda with my life no matter what I do. I cant even damage it a little" John replied still cannot forget, how the phyton played with him.

"I know it sounds crazy, but it was definitely not extinct. It was huge, almost 30 feet long."

Bianca and Christine exchanged skeptical glances, but Anna spoke up.

"I believe him. The wounds on his body are the proof. They were definitely not caused by any normal animal." Anna supported John.

Bianca and Christine looked at each other and nodded in agreement.

"Okay, we believe you,"

Bianca said with a sigh. "But you need to rest and recover first. we'll leave first."

As they left the cave and walked outside, leaving John inside, the three of them huddled together and started talking.

"Don't you think this guy named John is a little suspicious? If he wants to lie, why come up with something so stupid?" Bianca said to the other two.

"I agree with you. I think he hit his head so hard," Christine replied, nodding in agreement.

"But what if John is telling the truth?" Anna interjected, trying to defend John's words.

Bianca and Christine exchanged looks, suspicious of Anna's reaction.

"Why are you defending him?" Bianca asked, sensing something was off.

"Don't tell me you like him, do you?" Anna's face turned a shade of red, and she tried to justify herself.

"Who likes him? I don't like that guy, hmph!" Anna shouted, clearly embarrassed.

Bianca's suspicions were correct. She looked at Anna and said.

"Anna, didn't I tell you not to get close to him? What if he's a bad guy in disguise?" She was a little angry.

"That's right, Anna. Bianca is right. I agree with her this time. There are three of us and he's a man. What will happen if he recovers and plans something bad for us?" Christine spoke, feeling a little wary of John as well.

"But sisters, John looks like a good guy. I hate you both. I'll go back and take care of him," Anna said, feeling a little angry about suspecting John to be a bad guy.

"You, you!" Bianca pointed at Anna, shaking with anger, and went to the beach, kicking some small pebbles on her way.

"Love is really blind, huh?" Christine looked at Anna and shaked her head. She then followed Bianca to the beach.

John was unaware of the argument happening outside as he was engrossed in looking for potions to heal himself faster on his system.

While scrolling through the shop, he noticed Anna coming towards him and sitting across him.

"Do you need any help?" Anna asked.

"No, I don't need anything," John replied, feeling a little burdened by the fact that the three of them were taking care of him.

He felt that he must look for some potions to heal himself to repay his debts to Anna.

Anna understood what John was thinking and extended her hand, holding John hand while saying, "You don't need to feel burdened, don't worry, I'll take care of you."

She looked at John with care. John looked at Anna's hand, and when she noticed his gaze, she quickly took her hand away, feeling embarrassed.

"Sorry, I just wanted to help you feel better," Anna explained in a mosquito voice with tinged of red in her face.

"That's okay," John replied, looking away and feeling a little embarrassed himself.

"Where are the other two?" John asked Anna, noticing that she was alone.

"They're outside" Anna replied nonchalantly, as if nothing had happened between her and Bianca earlier.

"Is there anything else you need?" Anna asked, offering to help John.

"No, there's nothing. I just need some rest," John replied, while looking at Anna.

"Okay then, if you need anything else, just ask me. I'll be going outside to gather some firewood," Anna said.

John only nodded his head in response. Anna slowly stood up and went outside the cave to gather some sticks and branches for the fire.

John went back to what he was doing - searching for some potions to help him - and finally he found the right one.

Description: This potion can increase the Recovery of any injuries by 50%.

John read the potion description and said.

"With this, all my injuries will be healed in three days, but the price is a little too high." John then looked at his points, which were only 50.

"System, do you have a potion that works the same but costs only 50 points?" John asked the system.

Description This potion can only increase the Recovery of any injuries by 25%

John looked at the new potion and said, "Well, it's not as effective as the first one, but it's better than nothing." He decided to purchase the super low grade healing potion.

"But how can I drink it if I can't even move?" John thought to himself.

[Don't worry host, the system has its own function] the system spoke in John's ear.

Then, the potion turned into white particles and was absorbed by John. He felt a little refreshed from the absorption.

"Even though my injuries would be healed in 6 days but with the help of this potion. It decreased the time to 1.5 and now I just have to wait for 4 and a half a day to be fully recovered" John said feeling bored with his surroundings he decided to sleep.

Meanwhile, on the beach, Bianca was sitting on the sand, her black hair swaying in the air as she still carried an angry expression from the earlier argument.

Bianca expressed her frustration towards Anna.

"Why did she protect that guy? We've been together on this island like sisters for so many days, and yet she's on his side after only meeting him for a few days!" She picked up a nearby shell and threw it into the sea to release her anger.

Christine approached Bianca and tried to calm her down.

"Don't be so angry. Maybe it's our fault for being too protective." She comforted Bianca by placing a hand on her shoulder.

"Having fights with each other will only harm the group. Let's take a step back and think about it."

Bianca nodded and realized that she may have overreacted.

"You're right. I may have been too harsh on Anna. Let's go back, and I'll apologize to her for my early behavior."

When Bianca and Christine arrived outside the cave, they saw Anna carrying firewood to bring it inside the cave.

Bianca approached Anna to apologize, but Anna ignored her, and continued on her way.

"Haysss, this is going to be a little hard," Bianca sighed inwardly while caressing her head.

"You can do it," Christine encouraged Bianca.

Anna then dropped the sticks in the right corner of the cave as Bianca and Christine arrived.

"Anna, let's eat," Bianca attempted to start a conversation with Anna.

However, Anna ignored her again and opened the crate, taking out two cans of meat. Only half of a can remained in the crate, and that would only last the four of them for two days.

Anna then went to John's side and asked, "Are you hungry? Here, let me feed you."

"Let's just go and take our potions and eat beside her" Christine whispered to Bianca.

"That guy stole my sister's heart, I will never forgive him," Bianca cursed John in her mind but still followed Christine's suggestion.
