*Boom*

"Hey Shawn, did I just see that helicopter falling in the woods? Asked Chet sitting in the back of the pickup truck. Stop, Stop. We gotta check it out man. There might be someone injured needing help".

"Chet, we are late. My dad told me to come home ASAP. There must be some emergency home. Others will help them. We should go".

"I agree with Chet. If everyone thinks that someone else will come to help, no help will arrive, and it'll be too late for them. We should go check it out. Park the car on the side. We will go quickly and call the ambulance".

"Thanks for having my back Donna. Shawn here really lacks empathy".

"It's not like that. Donna. You know me. Ok, let's check it quickly then". Shawn stopped his truck in the side of the road. They all got out of the truck and looked at the smoke coming from inside the forest beside the highway. They quickly began moving towards the smoke along with other people who were also going to see if anyone needs help there.

"By the sound of the explosion, I don't think anyone would have survived that crash", said Shawn.

"Think positive. What if someone was alive? said Donna.

"Then he must be wailing with pain and wishing he was dead". Chet said, getting side-eye from Donna.

"Guys hurry up". Said Shawn who was ahead of them.

Soon they enter the forest and reached the crash site. The trees were burning due to the fire from explosion. A large area was destroyed due to the helicopter which looked nothing like it did when falling. various parts spread across the area. Everyone was looking for any survivor in the midst, when a man saw something coming from behind the burning helicopter part slowly.

"Hey, what is that"?

"Look its coming through the fire".

A woman who saw a burned human body that had one had dangling to its shoulder, dragging its melting foot towards the people, screamed.

"What is that? Is it alive?" Chet said, slowly backing away along with others.

 Suddenly, Donna who was looking on other side of the site called, "Shawn. Come here. There is a man. He is unconscious".

Shawn and Chet both runs towards Donna to find a naked man on the ground.

"Hey, give me your shirt, I'll cover his body". Shawn asked Chet for his shirt which he gave reluctantly.

"He is not injured at all. Just a little...", Donna said.

"Its impossible to be not injured in that explosion. He should have been injured if he were in the helicopter. He must be near the area when it crashed. Naked". Shawn added.

"What should we do? We can't leave him here by himself". Chet said.

"More of them are coming. Run. Aaaaaargh". A man who saw more of the burning people approaching them screamed. And Everyone started running out of the forest.

"Help me with this guy. We should take him with us". Shawn called Chet who quickly helped taking one side of the unconscious man and both started running towards their truck.

"Put him in the back. I'll will stay with him". Said Chet.

They put him in the back with Chet. Shawn and Donna quickly sat in their seats and started driving.

"What the hell were those things. There is no way any human can walk like that while burning. And those sounds. There was something evil there. I'm telling you". Donna said holding the cross pendant on her neck.

"Hey, haven't you seen the news recently. There have been many cases of people showing aggressive behavior attacking others. It's a sickness". The government has advised to not approach such people.

"Yes, I know. I heard". Said Donna.

"Hey, the guy is awake. He says he doesn't remember anything". Chet from the back informed.

"Tell him we're taking him to a hospital. We'll leave Donna home first. It is in the way". Shawn said.

An hour later, near sunset, Shawn dropped Donna. She asked if they could wait so that she could bring something for the stranger to eat to which Shawn agreed.

"Hey, do you remember who you are. Where are you from? What were you doing in the forest naked?", Shawn and Chet both asked.

"Name, Wolfe". The stranger said.

"Man, seems like the accident messed with his brain. He is calling himself wolf". Chet whispered in Shawn's ear.

Suddenly they heard Donna Screaming from her house. They immediately ran towards the house. Shawn and Chet entered the house that was not locked from the inside. They ran towards the sound that came from the kitchen where they saw their friend Donna screaming in pain with a knife on her stomach.

"Donna. What? How? Who did this?", Shawn asked desperately, confused. While Chet saw the surrounding.

"The man. He ran from the back door. He stabbed me. Shawn, Am I going to die?", Donna asked crying.

"No. I will call an ambulance right away. Chet, call the ambulance. Hurry". As soon as he said this, he felt that the person he was holding stopped moving. Donna had died. 

Shawn and Chet didn't know how to react. And suddenly they hear a crash sound from outside. They leave her there for the moment and look outside to see if it is the culprit. But looking outside they see a bloodied man ferociously biting and eating another man who was screaming in pain and confusion. The road was blocked due to cars hitting each other. Everyone was running on the road. It was chaotic. While they were watching a man who got grabbed, a man slowly approached Chet, growling. Just as he was about to pounce on him, the man named Wolfe bashed his head down with a wrench. The man stopped moving, dead while Chet saw the scene horrifyingly.

"Oh god, what did you do? You killed him". Chet said in disbelief.

"Already dead. Saw his neck being torn off earlier". Wolfe Said.

"We need to leave here. Or we might also get sick. Let's remove the cars in the front". Shawn said.

Shawn, Chet and Wolfe started pushing cars in the way to his truck. Just as they were about to push a car to the side, they heard someone approaching from behind.

"Hey man, the man said. He was wearing a shirt stained with blood and was holding a little girl with a cap".

"Holy shit, don't eat us". Chet started pleading in fear.

"We're not gonna hurt you". The man said.

"Phew, thought for a second you and the little one were both going to give us the chomp". Shawn said.

"Do you know what the hell this is? ", The man asked.

"No idea. You've seen them then", Shawn enquired.

"You could say that". The man said

"I am Shawn. Shawn Greene". Shawn introduced himself.

"Lee. This is Clementine". The man named Lee exchanged.

Chet bend his knee to the girl's level and introduced himself raising his hand. "I am Chet. And this is Wolf". Watching both, the girl hid behind Lee.

"Man, we shouldn't be out here like this. Donna is dead. We might be killed too. Let's leave here. We'll call police when we get away from here". Chet pleaded.

"Your friend is right". Lee said.

Looking at Chet, Shawn judged that it was not good to put everyone in danger.

"Alright. How about you help us clear the way and we'll take you and your daughter out of here and down to my family's farm. It should be safer there". Shawn Offered.

"I'm not her dad. I am... a neighbor. Her parents are out of town". Said Lee.

"Let's get going. Staying put for too long is a mistake". Mentions Shawn.

He turned towards the girl and said something to which girl looked left and right but didn't say anything.

"Hey guys, the monster's coming. Let's get out of here". Chet said worryingly.

"Lee, help us move the cars". Shawn asked Lee. All four men started pushing cars from the way soon. As soon as they sat in the truck, the door to Donna's house opened up. The dead Donna came growling slowly scaring Chet. Shawn was confused as he thought Donna had died.

"Leave. Quickly. She is not your friend. Start the car. Go". Lee said hurriedly.

Shawn turned on the engine and quickly drove out.

Looking at few guys eating a woman in roadside, Chet asked Lee if those were also his neighbors, to which Lee didn't reply.
