Zombie Dungeon (2)

As Hans ran away, he turned around a few times to fire shots at the Chainsaw-wielding nightmare but to his growing horror, they didn't seem to work so he picked up speed. The Zombie kept up with him and this made him realize something very important, 'I have cleared these streets but if I run into ones with zombies on them, I will get surrounded, the only solution is to enter a building and fight that thing in a closed space.'

He quickly changed direction toward the building of his apartment, 'I only know the layout of that one so it's the only choice, I need to use the Uzi since I don't want to waste Grenades. Close combat equals death.'

His pragmatic mind slowly awakened as his survival instincts forced him into fight-or-flight mode, 'Need to hinder its movement rather than damage it since it has high health, if I manage to destroy its legs, I can kill him easily, aiming for the head is a no then, ankles it is.'

He quickly reached the building and entered it, he waited in front of the stairs instead of running up instantly and waited with his Uzi ready to fire. 'If I run away, there is a possibility it won't know where to chase me; if I don't manage to kill it, I will enter an apartment and close the door, and when he barges in use that little moment of time to kick it and run back out; Going down from the stairs is easier for escaping. I can also bring him to the roof and trick him into falling to the ground in the worst-case scenario...'

The Zombie soon came, it was truly a terrifying sight but Hans wasn't the least bit afraid; His mind was in a state of razor-sharp focus to deal with the challenge, his emotions as if forgotten.

It dashed toward him with the chainsaw rising to cut him in half, he didn't linger around, he fired the Uzi which damaged the zombie, and escaped into the stairway.

He put a broom in the way which caused the zombie to fall and it bought him a few seconds to pull some distance and begin a gorilla fight with it.

The zombie entered a berserk state and followed him up, he fired relentlessly whenever he could toward the zombie's legs as he ran up the stairs, he constantly reloaded his gun, the zombie took great damage from the constant assault and it slowed down; It swung around the chainsaw in a frenzied way that damaged the walls and made unpleasant loud sounds.

'This much noise is not a good idea, If it is not the boss of this level then it will cause a lot of trouble for me. Let's test my new stats...' Hans thought as he suddenly turned around and jumped toward the zombie.

The zombie had its chainsaw momentary stuck in the wall due to its imbalance brought by the damage to its legs which is precisely why Hans decided to confront it in close combat at that moment. He took out the machete with one hand and the other held the Uzi. He kicked as hard as he could and the zombie was, to his surprise, blown back and fell down the stairs and hit the wall.

The Chainsaw fell from the wall and began sliding down the stairs. 'My Chance!' Hans dropped the machete and grabbed the chainsaw and ran up to the zombie before it could get up and drove it through its stomach.

The buzzing machine made a squelching sound as it cut apart the rotten flesh and splattered torn apart guts and filthy zombie parts on Hans who didn't seem to care. He had a crazy gleam in his eyes as he pushed harder to make the chainsaw go upward seemingly intent on cutting the zombie in half.

The zombie did not sit and watch, it raised its fist and punched toward Hans who barely dodged it and had to momentarily let go of the chainsaw. As the Zombie extended its hand to grab it and take it out, a gun barrel appeared in front of its head between the eyes.

"Bye-Bye Motherfucker." Hans said coldly and emptied all the bullets of the Uzi he held in his hand. The Zombie's head jerked back and forth as dozens of holes appeared on its skull with smoke rising from them. Brain matter slowly falling out...

It fell to the ground with a heavy thud. Hans puffed out the some coming out of the head of the Uzi's barrel with a smile, "Now This felt good... Like how a game should feel like... What a real gamer should be... I love this feeling."

He felt something within him change, he fell in love with fighting. The taste of victory was sweet. He checked his status and saw he had leveled up to 5 as well. He had overcome his fears and felt like he had become a real man.

"I am not going to let myself feel fear and nervousness, if I can kill this thing, then there is nothing to fear anymore. I just have to push forward and win, the taste of victory is worth it; whether the enemy is Thanos or an omnipotent god or whatever else, I won't give up. I will try my best..." He murmured as if reaffirming his conviction then pulled out and picked up the chainsaw.

"Since the dungeon is still on, this freak wasn't the boss so This thing will be useful..." He left with the chainsaw on his shoulder and Uzi in his other hand. A certain gleam in his eye that showed he was going through some changes...

This Dungeon and the situation he was put in, a situation that threatened his survival, was changing him in ways he never thought possible.

He picked up the machete and added the points on the way up as checked his inventory, 'What to eat? Let's take a break for today...'
