Zombie Dungeon (1)

Hans felt his surroundings shift somehow as if he was thrust into water and out without getting wet, he blinked and nothing had happened. He frowned in confusion, 'Did it not work?' he wondered.

He checked the apartment and it was the same as before, he approached the only window around and looked outside. He gulped and smiled nervously, 'It worked all right...'

The entirety of the new york city was empty of people, on the street below, he could see a few humanoid shapes awkwardly and slowly walk around without a clear destination in mind.

'Zombies... so it's like a walking dead or resident evil situation. It seems I need to roam the city and find the boss, kill it and clear the dungeon, where could it be?' he thought as he checked the three bars at the edge of his vision top left.

'My HP, MP, and SP are at 100%... Let's kill some zombies and level up first, allocate the points and prepare for the boss, then I can worry about finding it.' He decided and opened the door of the apartment.

He quickly checked the hallway and found no one there; He stepped out with his pistol ready to fire and slowly walked outside. He took a few steps and saw a half-open door not too far away, he listened and heard an unusual voice.

'It's like moaning and groaning at the same time, this is the sound of a zombie.' he concluded and got ready to fire. He sneakily peeked inside and saw a zombie, it was facing the wall. 'Good!'

He aimed and shot toward its head without hesitation, to his shock, the zombie moved at the exact moment he shot and so it avoided the bullet. It instantly turned to look at him.

It's lacked one eye and its skin was a sickly green with maggots and worms crawling inside and outside its muscular body through the seemingly rotting parts. Half its hair was gone and its single eye gazed at him with hunger. Its mouth salivating a little.

Hans began shooting without a care in the world. The zombie ran toward him with surprising speed but he luckily managed to land a hit on its head. The zombie collapsed in front of his feet.

His heart was beating rapidly in his chest as adrenaline rushed in his veins, he entered the apartment and saw no enemy inside and looked at the corpse, his eyes seemed to twinkle in excitement, "Even though I did nothing great, that felt really good..." he murmured to himself.

He closed his eyes and breathed a few times to calm down, 'Why was there no Hp bar or level indicator? That damn god gave me a trash version of the gamer... I also have no clue how much Exp I am getting... It moved last moment, was it because of my 3 luck stat? Let's kill more...'

He stepped out of the apartment and began searching the floor, he found no other zombie so he headed down.

He heard zombies in the hallway of the lower floor and readied his machete just in case he failed to kill with the gun. He approached sneakily and quickly peeked and saw 2 zombies.

They were not paying attention to his direction so he didn't hesitate, he took aim and began firing.

He missed two of the shots and one hit the closer zombie's shoulder. It reached him and he kicked it away and shot its head, the other one was on him and he couldn't shoot so he pushed it to buy a second and slashed with the machete.

An arm fell to the ground but the zombie jumped on him without a care, he felt his heart skip a beat but he was prepared, he punched it in the jaw and its jaw fell off. He did it so it wouldn't be able to bite him.

The zombie was unfazed and scratched his shoulder with its remaining hand and headbutted him, thanks to the mask it did not hurt much but Hans was disgusted; The Jacket protected him from the scratch.

He shifted his weight and threw the zombie with all his strength toward the stairs. It fell down the stairs and before it could get up, Hans shot it in the head.

He felt the blue triangle at the edge of his vision brighten for a moment and then return to normal. He did not care, he sat on the stair near him and took a moment to breathe, 'It felt surreal and unnerving but killing them gave me a strange sense of satisfaction like winning in a game, I was so nervous but now I feel a little more confident... I probably leveled up.'

He checked his status;

He added 2 points to dexterity since it affected his shooting skill and speed, and he added the rest to luck.

'I am ok physically but luck can fuck me over if I am not careful... 13 Dexterity and 11 Luck will do, I will add the rest to Dex, STR, and Vitality from now on.' He decided; The moment he added the points he felt a warm feeling over his body and he felt a little lighter and he felt his senses and balance improving very little. It was a strange experience.

He stood up to go kill some more zombies. He was not nervous anymore. he sighed as he went to the lowest floor, his apartment was on the 3rd floor. 'Unfortunately, I can't get points by working out like the original gamer but I guess beggars can't be choosers...'

Only skills gained from dungeons would appear at the status so he had no skill regarding shooting and etc.

He found 3 zombies there, he aimed and killed one with his 1st shot, 'My aiming improved indeed, luck seems to also be a factor...'

He killed another as it made way toward him and he beheaded the last one with the machete. Efficiently and calmly. He was adapting to the situation.

He entered the street; he didn't use the gun there, he was afraid it would attract a horde so he decided to sneak by the cars and silently behead them from behind. He succeeded and killed 3 more and leveled up again.

He crouched behind a car and smiled, 'This is not hard at all, actually, this is kinda boring but as long as I level up, it's good.' he added 4 points to Dexterity, 4 to strength, and 2 to Vitality.

A warm wave moved in his body and he felt his physic change a little, his muscles moved and he felt getting stronger and faster, his blood flowed a little better and he became more clear-headed, he felt as light as a feather.

'Wow, let me check...' he thought and checked his body, 'A sixpack is slowly forming, the muscles are harder, less bulky, and more compact. My skin is a little better and I feel better overall, probably vitality at work... I feel great!' The body was muscular but it lacked a sixpack.

He realized how broken the gamer ability was then and there, 'With 1 point I grow 10% better than a human adult! This is really overpowered...'

He stood up and continued his hunt. He killed dozens of scattered zombies and leveled up again. He added the points the same way.

Two long streets of walking later, he heard a chainsaw and his heart skipped a beat in fear, "No, don't tell me..." he saw a fat zombie that was 2 meters tall with a turned-on chainsaw entering the street. He hesitated due to shock for a mere second before hiding.

'Fuck, I hate those fuckers; I am out of here!' he thought but it seemed futile, the zombie had noticed him and ran toward his direction, chainsaw in hand, Hans almost screamed in fright and began sprinting away as he readied his gun. 'FUUUCK!'
