[Successful Animal Evolutions]~

In the initial stages of artificial evolution, only rats were used in the experiments. Experiments were brought to fruition with the evolution of rats into abnormal mutated species with high agility and strength.

With the success of witnessing the miracle of artificial evolution, the government approved experimentation on other species and also encouraged scientists to revive extinct species.

Humans disregarded all restrictions and conducted experiments on other animals by causing them to evolve unnaturally.

Scientists proceeded to uncover new discoveries by evolving animals and creating new species, breaking down barriers, and making history.

With the help of DNA characteristics derived from fish, a bird evolved by developing gills. With gills for breathing underwater and wings to soar in the sky, that bird became capable of conquering deep seas as well as lofty skies.

Every day, more than one in four species on the planet faces extinction, all thanks to meddling humans. But at the same time, scientists, with the application of Prof. Dr. Gray's method, are beginning to resurrect extinct species and rewrite humanity's blunders.

As long as DNA characteristics are present, any species can be revived, and by modifying any DNA, scientists have started to develop their own new species.

The view of the world altered and, with artificial evolution ignoring natural selection, humans truly began to control life forms and their characteristics themselves.

But as this was still an experimental stage, and because the government was concerned about any negative effect artificial evolution might have on humanity, the whole research became a top classified secret of the country.

However, as the saying goes, tremendous power can also bring great calamity. Things began to go apart even before humans actually experienced true evolution.

The news of artificial evolution's success broke out in other countries. Other countries combined and pressed to make the research method public.

In order to monopolize the evolution method and establish a superhuman nation, the government declined to share it with other countries.

As they say, treasures bring disasters. A single method developed by Prof. Dr. Grey, or should I say by me, sparks and ignites the bomb universally known as "WORLD WAR III"

As the saying goes, "Beware of driving the enemy to desperation, even a cornered rat is dangerous."

As all other countries combined and declared "WORLD WAR III" by cornering a single country. To survive, the government adopted the first strike policy for nuclear weapons, and with that, all-out nuclear war erupted...

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Many countries perished from the face of the world as a result of nuclear ballistic missiles. The scent of death covered the earth's atmosphere, and rivers of blood painted the surface of the earth.

The radioactivity explosions incinerated everything living and nonliving. The sky was entirely blanketed with ash, turning even the days into the darkest nights. The arrival of the apocalypse, yet the world was ghost-quite except for the reverberating roar of nuclear blasts.

However, that was only the beginning, as a few countries only just managed to escape owing to their nuclear defense systems and managed to launch a nuclear counterattack.

Nuclear weapons destroyed everything, engulfing the entire planet in anarchy.

The government was forced to publicize the method of evolution since the nation was on the verge of annihilation. And with that, the curtain falls on World War III.

[WORLD WAR III – After Effects]~

Numerous nuclear missiles were deployed during World War III, and many countries perished on the surface of the earth.

More than 70% of humanity lost their lives, and countless species went extinct.

And among the remaining 30%, many were gravely hurt, but this was only the beginning of humanity's demise...

Due to nuclear explosions, most of the world's lands became infertile, causing a mass famine, and nations started to fight each other for control of the few remaining fertile lands.

The entire world is swarmed by radioactive particles, affecting the world's atmosphere and making it poisonous.

The Earth became incapable of supporting life forms due to infertile soil, a radioactive atmosphere, and poisonous water.

The death and disease rates continue to rise dramatically as a result of excessive radioactivity. Even the second generation after World War III was unable to escape its plight; the majority died even before being born, and just a handful bore the gift of life with a mental or physical disability.

For the first time, something humanity has created to protect itself became the sole reason for humanity's demise.

[World Organization for Humanity's Survival]~

In order to save humanity from this catastrophe, all the scattered remaining humanity truly combined for the first time, to discuss the solution, giving birth to the World Organization for Humanity's Survival.

And the apparent remedy was for humanity to evolve into a disease-resistant species, immune to radiation itself.

But...

There was no time for experiments nor the certainty of success.

Hence, to save humanity, we ventured above and beyond. From the uninhabited islands to the tallest mountains, from scorching deserts to the deepest oceans, wherever there is space to venture and colonize, humans do so. So, it's no surprise that to survive from this radioactive earth, humans thought to venture beyond the earth itself.

Humanity, with all the remaining resources it could muster, and also with the help of advanced technology that was ameliorated because of World War III, managed to flee from this poisonous Earth.

As they say, "War acts as a catalyst for technological advancement."

The majority of the wealthy, powerful, and upper-class people departed Earth and marched toward Mars. Although the surface of Mars was radioactive as well, it was much safer than the Earth, which was bombarded with nuclear weapons directly. And with the help of spacesuits and methods for creating artificial water, humanity survived on Mars.

But...

For those with no money nor power, their resources were taken away to Mars. And people are left to die. Earth became the planet that nurtured humanity, and the same humanity abandoned mother Earth after destroying and leaving her poor children to die.
