World History-1

It has been almost three months since I was given a second chance—a new life.

The dreadful premonition I had every time I listened to my parents' squabble over choosing our names came to fruition.

The end result of their endeavors is "Olorun Windslay," the name they bestowed on me after much deliberation. Olorun is a name that alludes to some sort of deity. Although I didn't like the sound of it at first, I eventually came to adore it, since my parents gave it to me with lots of love.

Unlike me, my twin sister had quite a fortune. She was given the name "Freya Windslay" in honor of the queen of the Valkyries.

Apart from our names, I've spent the last three months relearning several important things all over again.

It took me nearly a month to pronounce some meaningful sounds. Despite my initial trepidation and desire to avoid drawing unwelcome attention, but after having heard my twin sister utter "mum," I eventually started to speak a few words.

When we were two months old, we started to crawl. But because the robots were always obstructing our path, we failed to explore.

I attempted to walk when I was only two months old, and after numerous efforts and failures, I was finally able to stand on my own. Despite the fact that I had some prior life experience, my twin sister kept up with my development.

Now, just after only three months, she can now jump and use rudimentary words to control robots to move, play, and sing for her.

Sigh...

Is this really humanity I know? How can a three-month-old girl have this much intelligence? How much time has passed since my last life? Or is this really some alternate reality?

Well, today, finally, I will have my answer.

Last time, I was unable to procure a mobile phone, but now, finally, after much effort, I have succeeded. I wailed out "moobile," "moobile" over and over again while pointing to the cell phone and imploring in a baby's voice. And after my parents' initial surprise at my vocabulary, they finally gave me the thing I've longed for most—a mobile phone.

My dad handed me a cell phone that was not his, possibly an additional one. I reached for it and grabbed it with my tiny, yet firm, and strong hands, and started to scroll.

The phone was illustrating some games, and after I feigned to play like a nitwit, or should I say a newbie, my dad went back to his work.

As soon as I saw him walk out of the room, I dismissed the game window and began to look for an internet connection. I immediately recognized a Wi-Fi connection symbol in the screen's upper left corner, exactly as I remember from my previous incarnation.

My heartbeat quickened, and every cell in my body screamed to confirm that this was the world I know.

I pondered my gaze and guided it towards the calendar section. As I opened it, I went blank for a moment, those numbers mirrored in my crystal blue eyes, as clear as day, but still unbelievable.

What?

Nearly 3000+ years have passed since I died... How?

What actually transpired during the meantime? Is it feasible that humanity has progressed, or am I just discounting the idea that there might be a parallel Earth?

It's futile to ponder the same notions when I'm in possession of the single most hazardous gadget ever made by mankind. All the information in this world, past and present, resides at my fingertip. I want answers right now.

With the same thought, I opened the browser, of course, with the incognito tab, and the first thing I searched since I was reborn was "our planet's name". Although I expected this result, still seeing "Earth" in bold format, excitement and many more questions covered my countenance.

So, my guess was correct, and this planet is the Earth, how far has humanity progressed in the last 3000 years? What exactly happened and how?

I once more began to look over every last piece of human history going back to the time of my previous incarnation. My gaze soon landed on the "World History (Major Incidents)" wiki, which I opened and began to read.

World History (Major Incidents)

[Pandemic]~

A pandemic affected the world. Numerous people lost their lives. This was the time when my parents left me all alone and passed on to the afterlife.

.

[Breakthrough in Genetic Engineering]~

Prof. Dr. Grey's method of genetic transformation made a critical breakthrough in the genetic engineering field. Prof. Dr. Grey is renowned as the pioneer of genetic engineering because he made a remarkable contribution by making human evolution a reality.

Fuck it! Fuck it! Fuck it!

Why is that bastard's name mentioned in world history?

This was the time when he experimented on my body and tormented me to death. He even touted my research as his own. As a result, he is acknowledged as a genetic engineering pioneer. What a load of bullshit. If only I had been reincarnated while he was alive, I would have killed him.

Sigh. Witnessing someone else receive recognition for your achievement stings so deeply. The professor must have long gone on by this point, and I am unable to do anything about it.

The only fruitful thing gained from this is an opportunity. An opportunity to relive in the world of evolution which was started by me.
