Supreme Demon Lord

JD goes through the motions of every day life, wishing that he could make his nerdy dreams become reality. One night as he goes to sleep, he finds himself in what he believes is just a normal dream, but soon realizes that he can't wake up to his reality. The thing that shocks him the most after this revelation, is that he's taken the form of a small demon named Rokene. After realizing that this new reality has become his own, he also finds that he has a system similar to that of what you find in video games, and it begins to explain to him that his objective in this new world is to become the god of not only the demon race, but of every existence in this world.

Understanding

Rokene was doing his best to at this point to come close to hitting Jupiter with one of his fireballs. "Dammit! She's too fast. This was supposed to be training for her, but I'm the one struggling to land a hit." he thought to himself.

After a couple of hours of attempting to land a hit on her, Rokene was finally at the point to where he had exhausted most of his MP. "Alright, you win. I concede." he said. Jupiter finally stopped zooming across the open field and stopped next to Rokene. She was worn out as well. "This has been a lot of fun. Thanks for helping me practice my new skill." she said.

They both did their best to hide their exhaustion from one another, in fear that the other would start to make fun of them. Sweat was evident at this point on their foreheads, which they were both unable to hide from the other. Once they realized that they had the same thoughts, they both began to laugh. "I'm glad you're on my side." she said to him. "I haven't really had a friend before, but I think I would be happy considering you one." he responded.

Rokene never spoke about his past, which was something Jupiter was okay with. She didn't really wish to hear about who he was before they met, but she was just happy to know who he was now. They never spoke about it, but Rokene had anger growing inside him from the thought of what Jupiter's former master put her through. Out of respect for her, he never brought it up, but he had every intention of giving her former master everything that he had coming to him.

"So, what do you think?" she asked. Rokene had an expression on his face that showed that his mind had wandered elsewhere, but her words brought him back to reality. "Your new spell is amazing. I think that once your body becomes strong enough to turn it into more than just a support spell, then you are going to be a real challenge to whoever has the balls to fight you." he responded.

Jupiter began to blush a little after hearing his words. That was the first time that he had ever expressed any kind of positive words towards her out loud. "Thanks, and I know that you were holding back by only using one of your spells, but I think it helped me to have a better understanding of my magic while I was avoiding your attacks. How did you gain such a strong understanding of all your different types of magic so fast?" she said.

"Understanding? I just use the different spells that I have access too. It's pretty simple really." he responded. Jupiter became annoyed again after hearing him speak as if his power was truly that simple. "You have to have an understanding of your type of magic. That's what allows it to form around your personality and develop farther." she snapped.

"Develop around my personality? I haven't ever heard of anything like that before." he thought. "What is my personality exactly?" he asked with a curious look. "You're a dick through and through. You can be sadistic with those you fight, and you get this intense blood lust when you're in the midst of battle. I would say that you are just ruthless in general, and if your magic were to revolve around that type of personality, then I would imagine that you will become a true monster. Especially with your existing power." She said after a moment of thought.

Rokene nodded in agreement with her analysis of himself. He knew that he had become ruthless since waking up in the new world, and figured that it was attributed to the fact that he had become a demon. In his world, a demon was something that was known for being evil and sadistic, which fit with his evolving personality.

The thought of how his magic would develop based off of his ruthlessness was something that really intrigued him though. "The destructive nature of most my skills seem to fit, but what about my healing touch? Does that mean that I have a caring nature as well? I guess I was empathetic towards others back in my world, but that I also gave me the understanding that people sucked and humanity as a whole was awful. This is something that I am going to have to really dig into I guess." he thought to himself.

His ruthlessness was something that paired with his empathy. He was able to understand that some people enjoyed being horrible to others because it was something that they enjoyed, which now was something that he was enjoying as well since coming to the new world. His disdain for everyone made it to where it was easier to not have compassion towards anyone, except Jupiter. It was because she was fairly similar to him, but the reason for her being that way was completely different than it was for him.

She had grown to hate the world, because that was all she was ever shown since she could remember. Jupiter had every right to hate the world and everyone in it because of that. Rokene on the other hand had always had a decent life. He may not had been close to anyone really, but nothing horrible had ever really happened to him either. He had always been a pessimist who despised the world, but he had reached that point in a different way than Jupiter had.

After mulling it over in his head for a while, Rokene came to the realization that the reason for his spell "healing touch" to awaken, had to be due to his feelings towards Jupiter. He didn't have any romantic feelings towards her, but he did want to protect her now. He hadn't realized it yet, but her effect on him, was keeping Rokene from truly giving into his demonic tendencies.
