Training

The next day, Jupiter was feeling very excited. She was wanting to show Rokene her new spell, and how far she had come since they first met. They had been sparring from time to time for the past month, but it mostly focused on hand to hand combat, since her spells were not powerful enough to use in combat yet.

During the past few days, she was starting to have a better understanding of her lightning magic, which had helped her to create the lightning movement spell. She was not able to use her lightning as an attack yet, but she found that it was easier for her use it to envelop a part of her body to speed up her movement. The spell was not limited to just her feet and legs, she was able to also make it cover her arms as well.

Doing this would make her move at an incredible speed, but her body was not strong enough to be able to use it for offense yet. She knew that this would not be possible until she reached the peak of the pawn rank, but it would be able to serve as a support skill for now. Once her body became stronger and more durable, then she would be able to punch with the full speed of her magic behind it. If she were to try and do that before her body was ready, then her hand would be destroyed by the sheer force that her magic created.

She still needed to train using her new spell, and she knew that Rokene would be the perfect person to help her with that. He had already become proficient in multiple magic aptitudes in no time, which completely blew her mind. She had never heard of someone with as low of a rank as he had, be so powerful. He was a genius in her mind, and so he was the only one that could help her to grow stronger as well.

Jupiter stood with her hands on her hips behind Rokene, who was sitting on the ground eating a piece of fish that he had just caught. "Hey short shit! You want to train with me? I have something I want to show you." She said with a confident tone. "Can't you see I'm eating tabletop? I'll train with you later." he said, without turning around to look at her.

Jupiter's face turned red at his words, and decided that she was not putting up with his smart mouth today. He was not going to ruin her good mood with his shitty attitude. Instead of responding to him, she grabbed the back of his neck and allowed her hand to be enveloped by her lightning. Before he could react though, she used the speed boost gained by her new spell, to start shaking his neck back and forth at a ridiculous speed.

Rokene did his best to not choke on the piece of fish that he had been chewing on, but the speed that his head was moving was too much for him to bare. He ended up failing in the end, and the piece of fish took up residency in his throat. To escape from what seemed like his imminent death by a mad woman, he disappeared into his shadow and moved a couple of feet away before clearing his throat. "What the shit was that for?" he shouted in annoyance.

"Quit being a whiny bitch and come train with me." she responded. She didn't mean to make him choke, or to hold his neck for as long as she did, but once she had started, she found it difficult to slow herself down. She was still really inexperienced with her new spell seeing as she had just learned it, but that was part of why she wanted to train with him so badly. The other reason was because she actually enjoyed being around him. Sure he had a shitty attitude all the time, but he was her first real friend in her life. She also felt as if his sadism was starting to rub off on her, because she actually found herself enjoying his torment slightly.

"Fine! I'll train with you, but just so you know, I will be using one of my spells for our little bout. That should be enough to get you back for almost killing me you wench." he said after making sure he could breathe properly. He did want to get his revenge on her, but he also knew that she was ready for him to step it up a little in their fights. The only way that she was going to get stronger was if he were to push her to her limits.

"That's fine, but that fish won't be the only thing that you're going to be choking on by the time we get done. I'm planting my fist right in that smart ass mouth of yours before we are finished." she said with a smirk. "Sorry, but I'm not into hands in my mouth. I'm not a freak unlike you." he said while chuckling to himself. "Eat a mountain of dicks! Now quit being an asshole and come on." she said annoyed.

They moved away from their camp, into an open field that they had found five minutes away. "You said that you had something you were wanting to show me. I hope it's not the penis that you have been hiding." he said when they arrived. "I promise you that I am not a man, but you know what? You can suck my spirit dick by the end of this, you peasant." she responded.

Rokene couldn't help but smile at her response. He knew that she was a witty hothead, and that was one of the things that helped them to become friends. They were both assholes to each other, but that just happened to be the way that they were able to show affection towards each other. This was something that both of them had understood early on, and allowed for them to have fun with each other.

"Try hitting me with your fireballs" she said. "You asked for it." he responded. Rokene started to shoot several small fireballs in her direction, but was shocked when she vanished from his sight. Jupiter appear behind him and sent a small jolt down his neck. It didn't hurt, but an overwhelming sense of danger flooded his mind. He had yet to find someone who could be as much of a challenge as she was starting to become. Then pride consumed him when he realized how far she had come from since they had first met.
