Stronger

Rokene had no idea that there were powerful people who were searching for him, just outside of the forest. He had been training with Jupiter while trying to gain a better understanding of what it meant to be a ruthless/caring being. Though he did not have too much time to fully grasp how his power was a branch of those two separate aspects of himself, he was able to at least see that his main desires were too become stronger while also protecting Jupiter.

Rokene still managed to go out into the deeper part of the woods, so that he could hunt and kill whoever came through. This lead to him eventually leveling up to 9. His stats were as followed.

"Damn, I'm so close to leveling up. I need to try and find a few more beasts and hopefully even a human, if I wish to level up again. I think I'll try my luck out in the deeper parts of the forest again today." he thought to himself.

Jupiter was already in another area training her lightning movement spell, so he knew that she would not mind him going away for a few hours. She had become used to either seeing him sit down and meditate for hours about his magic, and also him being gone for hours or even days to go hunt. She didn't mind when he would disappear, because she knew that it was best if they were not together constantly. They were both too independent, and that would only cause issues to arise otherwise.

After being out in the woods for four hours, Rokene managed to kill three forest wolves. They were exceptionally weak and he knew they were all worth only 50 exp, but he just needed enough to level up to 10. After he received the notification about the exp gained and the level up, he also saw two other notifications that he was not expecting.

"Wow! I received a huge power up the last time that I evolved, and to top it off, I'm now a pawn-3. Not a bad haul after all. I think I'll wait until I get back to camp before accepting the evolution. That way Jupiter will have to watch over me, just to be safe. I'm not sure how long it will last, but better to be safe than sorry." he thought to himself.

When he got back to the camp, he could see Jupiter sitting down and meditating. "Sorry to interrupt, but could you do me a favor?" he said as he walked up in front of her.

Jupiter became slightly annoyed to be disturbed during her training, but she knew that Rokene never asked for favors, so it must be important. She put a smile on her face as she looked up at him. "Sure, what do you need?"

Rokene immediately sat down cross legged on a small patch of grass right in front of her. "I'm about to evolve again, but I don't really know how long it will take. The last time that I evolved, it was short, but I would not be surprised if it starts to take longer every time. So all I'm asking is that you look over me while I go through the process. I figured this would be the safest way to go about it."

Jupiter smiled and nodded at him while gesturing for him to lay down with her hands. He unfolded his legs, and laid his back on the patch of grass. He wanted to try and be as comfortable as possible before going through this painful process. He took in a long deep breath before accepting the evolution that the system was offering.

The moment that he accepted, he could feel every part of his body being destroyed. He remembered how badly it hurt the first time, so he had mentally prepared himself for it again. This time however, the pain was much greater, because his body would immediately heal, only to be torn apart again. This process repeated itself ten times. Throughout this, the red cracks along his body started to branch out even farther across. His body stretched out, just like last time.

All of this pain still made Rokene cry out. Even though he thought he was prepared mentally, he did not expect it to be far worse than the first time. His screams could be heard all around him, and was amplified even more by his wind magic strengthening his cries.

Jupiter immediately cupped her hands over her ears to dampen the sounds of his screams, but they were so powerful that she thought her ear drums were going to burst. All of the birds and other animals nearby were frightened and ran away immediately after hearing the screams.

The whole process lasted for thirty minutes in total, but Rokene once again, felt like it had lasted for much longer. When the pain finally subsided, little flashes of his different elements could be seen around him. Jupiter fell back on her hands when she felt the power that was being emitted from his body. "There is no way that he is only a pawn rank with this much power. He truly is a monster of all monsters." she thought to herself.

Rokene began to slow his breathing down and finally regained his thoughts. He was very curious as to what kind of changes this new evolution had brought with it. Instead of jumping up to go check himself out, he first decided to check on his stats. He sat back up and cross his legs, before closing his eyes. "status"

Rokene smiled widely as he looked over his new stats. He could feel the power flowing through him like a raging river, and he knew that once he distributed the stat points, he would feel even better. "lets put 8 into strength and 3 into intelligence." he thought to himself. He wanted to have his magic, as well as his physical strength grow as much as possible. This was the best way to be able to take down the stronger opponents that he was wanting to find. His new stats were as follow.
