Power of an Inherited Battle Art

A fist brimming with powerful lightning was forcefully stopped in it's track by a palm.Not a single step back was taken by Vather as he contained the full power of Mason's blow in his palm."Is this the level of power that is enough to make you feel everyone else is inferior to you?."The word broke the silence in the dojo as everyone slowly exhale.

To mason it was like he poured his whole power into a bottomless well, completely useless.He roared as he gathered every ounce of energy in him into his punch when suddenly an overwhelming golden light flared from the palm.A force hit Mason with so much power he was directly blown into the barrier at the other side.

He slowly looked forward to Vather,who was staring at him as if he was an idiot.Every students present looked at him with wide eyes he could see disbelief on their face and the doubting look in their eyes.'They think am weak'

Mason roared,as he disappeared from his position.He jumped high into the air and slammed a lightning fist on where Vather was formerly standing making a small hole in the ground.When suddenly he felt an overwhelming force smash into his back forcing him to take two step forward; he roared as he quickly threw a punch behind him,but his fist hit nothing as he could feel two legs slammed on his head from above digging him deeper into the ground, which made him feel slightly dizzy,he quickly threw a punch upward,a young man could be seen jumping high in the air, his back facing the ground in a sleeping position as he slowly turned his body mid-air and gently landed on his feet.

"If this is all you got,then you're wasting my time."Vather said staring at him blankly.

"You are strong"Mason said slowly standing up properly.

"That's why I'll give you the respect you deserve".He slowly closed his eyes as a powerful phantom a of a lightning man appeared behind him.All dimensional energy present was sent into the phantom as powerful lightning exploded out of him.Melting the battle stage as lightning moved round the entire stage but Vather stood on it barely affected.With the light scale present on him now, his battle power is almost comparable to that of a middle meridian forging stage,Compared to Mason who was only at the middle body tempering stage."Do they really need to take it this far" a student asked as he gazed at the teacher expecting him to call off the spar.

"I'm sorry but it has gone beyond a spar and is now a battle of wills.If Mason was to able to defeat Vather right now, he'll be able to achieve an unprecedented increase in his cultivation.None of you will be able to catch up to his cultivation speed.But if he lost,then the Raiden family just lost a genius.This is a very rare chance to produce a heavenly genius.I'm sure they also won't want me to interfere",he said as he looked up towards the sky.

In the sky,two men stood on the air looking at the structure on the ground as their eyes passed through the entire structure and locked on the spar below.

"This is a rare chance for Mason,as he might just ascend to the position of Fifth in the family child geniuses after this.If he loses the chance,then he better swallow his grievance as the person he's fighting with is also untouchable".He said to the man beside him,whose eyes contained no pupils,his entire eyes was filled with blue lightning that flashed out of his eyes occasionally.

Vather raised his head as he looked towards the gigantic lightning phantom in front of him.A bloodline pressure slammed into him as he saw the disdain in the phantom's eyes as if it possess its own intelligence.

Vather stood there staring blankly at it.He might have been easily forced to his knees before but after seeing the True Astral light phantom and the phantoms behind the young man,he was able to withstand it when suddenly he could feel his light bloodline churning in his body A golden coloured notification panel appeared

Vather found himself standing in a different world where gigantic beings were present in the sky.Darkness surged out of their eyes as their gigantic body appeared to be made of pure darkness.

They stood in the sky without making any move.Vather concentrated as he saw a barrier covered the sky.As if triggered by something,they all slammed down their hands with speed towards the dome.Space collapsed and was torn apart as cracks could be seen emerging in the sky.As all the hands slapped towards the dome with the same intent,they seemed to have amplified each other.As the darkness surrounding their hands turned another shade darker.

That was when suddenly Vather felt a presence inside the dome.A young man slowly came out of cave.He was dressed in a simple white shirt and trousers that exposed only his wrists and his ankles up to his fingers.A golden star mark was present on his forehead which releases burst of golden lights at times.He slowly raised up his head looking at the incoming attacks,and then slowly clenched his fist.

"True Astral light guardian Art,first form, Illumination"He voiced out as his hand revealed bust of light which made his hand unseen as replacing it was a golden bright light.A golden fist phantom appeared moving in the direction of the gigantic dark fists,but instead of space warping, Instead of an earth chattering explosion,none of that happened as wherever the golden fist passed was illuminated by light making the dark hands disappear as they were immediately erased from existence.The sun passed through the barrier again as it felt as if nothing ever happened in the first place.

"It's like illumination,as simple as putting on the light in the dark"Vather said as his gaze rested on the man's back The man slowly turned back and his eyes locked into Vather's.

"It's a guiding illumination",he voiced out with a smile as if peering through thousands of eons in the past to look towards Vather right now in the present.

Vather found himself standing on the battle stage again.

Mason slowly opened his eyes,a smile appeared on his face but it wasn't that of approval but disdain,like a higher being over a lower one.

"Lightning beacon Art, first form,angered lightning judgement" he roared into the air.The gigantic phantom appearing behind him slowly raised it's hand as a blue ball of lightning slowly formed and disappeared from his hand.A gigantic bolt of lightning streak towards Vather from the sky as he watched the lightning close in on him with speed.

Vather slowly closed his eyes;his cloth flapping with a specific rhythm,he could feel his heartbeat slowed down almost to the point of stopping as Vather felt something he only felt once when he jumped down from his father's mansion.Peace.Absolute peace.His golden hair slowly fluttered behind him as they float in the air as if no longer affected by gravity.

Slowly clenching his white hand into a fist, green light flared from the crystal on his forehead it's pulse increasing twice what it was after his awakening.

"True Astral light guardian Art, first form, Illumination"He voiced out almost sounding like a gentle whisper in the air.

A gigantic streak of lightning blasted downwards with speed like a heavenly judgement while a hand flaring with golden light collided with it head on.

BOOOOOOOOOM

An explosion rocked the entire battle stage as it was forcefully compressed in the ground.Sound of two knees landing on the ground resounded as the dust slowly cleared and an unbelievable expression appeared on the students face.Mason could be seen on the ground in a kneeling position as he panted hard,a young man steadily walking towards him and stood before him.Mason slowly raised up his head and saw Vather still standing even after taking the full force of his battle art .The only damage was the slight burning of his military sleeves.a maddened expression appeared on his face as he screamed the word 'why' madly in his head. I'm suppose to be unbeatable, he's only a trash with a bloodline at the 2nd layer.Yet he defeated me,this is impossible.Vather slowly stood in front of Mason."You are no king, you're just a spoiled brat who has no knowledge of the word power".

Mason could feel a hand slam into his cheek as he was sent flying towards the barrier,he immediately collapsed on the floor after hitting it, and was knocked unconscious.

"Winner: Vather"The man slowly voiced out,as the group of students watched on in disbelief.

"Well that's all there is for today students,until next time"he voiced out as he went out of the hall with Mason on his shoulder.

With two gigantic phantom absorbing dimensional energy into his body.A horrifying pressure emanated from Vather which made the air in the garden almost stop blowing.

It wasn't long at all before Vather felt a boom in him,a holographic image appearing in front of him.
