In Lawrence, Kansas it was night time and a woman named Jenny is sitting on the floor of her home, unpacking boxes and she then comes across a photo of herself and her husband on their wedding day, She starts to cry and then her daughter sari comes into the room and she says "Mommy?" Jenny looks up at her daughter and she says "Hey sweetie, why aren't you in bed?" Sari says to her mom "There's something in the closet." Sari and Jenny go up to Sari's room and goes to the closet ad opens it and she says "See? There's nothing there." Sari looked at her mom and says "Are you sure?" Jenny looks at her daughter and she says "I'm sure, now come on get into bed." Sari crawls into her bed and Jenny tucks her in and gives her a kiss goodnight and Sari says "I don't like this house." Jenny sat down next to Sari and she said "You're just not use to it yet, but you, your brother and me -- we are going to be very happy here. I promise, I love you." Jenny gets up from the bed and turns off the light and is about to leave the room when sari says "Chair."

Jenny looks at Sari and says "Okay." she moves the chair underneath the knob on the door and then Jenny says "The Chair, just to be safe." Sari lies down on her bed and falls asleep and Jenny leaves the bedroom and then she heads back downstairs to the living room and she continues unpacking her stuff and she stops when she hears the sounds of scratching coming from the basement she says to herself "Please, God don't let it be rats." She heads down to the basement with a flashlight, she tries to turn on the light but the lights don't come on. She says to herself "Terrific." Back upstairs in Sari's bedroom, The chair begins moving on its own, away from the closet doors, Sari sits up in her bed, wide-eyed and afraid. Back in the basement, Jenny keeps looking around. On the floor, she sees a large black trunk. She kneels down and opens it, pulling out old photos of the Winchester family. Written on the back of a picture are the words, "The Winchesters. John, Mary, Dean, and Little Sammy." Jenny smiles at the picture, back in Sari's the closet doors open by themselves. Standing in the closet is what looks like a person, but it is entirely made out of fire and she sari screams.

At the Motel sam is asleep and while he's sleeping, he begins dreaming of Jenny she is inside her bedroom, screaming for help. All of a sudden Sam wakes up confused and sees that Sarah and Dean are both awake and doing some research and he grabbed a paper and a pen he started drawing a picture of a tree, Sarah says "All right me and Dean have been cruising some websites, I think we found a few candidates for our next gig, A fishing trawler found off the coast of Cali it's crew vanished." Dean then continued for her and said "And, uh, we got some cattle mutilations in West Texas. Hey." Sam looks up from his drawing and said "Are we boring you with this hunting evil stuff?" Sam said "No, I'm listening keep going." Sarah said "And here, a Sacramento man shot himself in the head, three times." Sarah waves her hands in front of Sam and she continued and said "Any of these things blown up your skirt, pal?" Sam still looking at the picture said "Wait i've seen this before."

Dean and Sarah look at each other then at Sam and Dean says "Seen what?" Sam gets up from the bed and goes looking through his duffel bag and Sarah asks "What are you doing?" Sam finds a picture of their family from when he was a baby and he then compares the picture and the drawing they're both the same and Sam says "Dean and Sarah I know where we have to go next." Dean looks at Sarah and Dean asks "Where?" Sam looks at both of them and says "Dean our old home, in Kansas." Dean looked at Sam and he said "Okay, random. Where'd that come from?" Sam shows the picture to Sarah and Dean and he says "All right, um, this photo was taken in front of our old house, right? The house where Mom died?" Dean simply said "Yeah." Sam said to Dean " And it didn't burn down, right? I mean, not completely, they rebuilt it, right?" Dean says " I guess so, yeah. What the hell are you talkin' about?" The conversation between the two of them continued so sarah went into the bathroom to get ready as they would be leaving soon for Kansas.

Outside the winchester house Sarah, Dean and Sam pull up outside the boys old house and Sam looks at Dean and asks him "You gonna be all right man?" Dean looks back at Sam and says "Let me get back to on that." The three of them get out of the impala and head for the front door after knocking on it, Jenny answers the door and sam is shocked to see that it's the same woman from his dream and she simply says "Yes?" Dean said "Sorry to bother you man but we are from the federal---." Before Dean could finish Sam got involved he said "I'm Sam Winchester, this is my brother Dean Winchester and Our friend Sarah Moore me and my brother we used to live here. You know, we were just drivin' by, and we were wondering if we could come see the old place, show sarah the house where we used to live."

Jenny said "Winchester. Yeah, that's so funny. You know, I think I found some of your photos the other night." Dean looks at Jenny and says "You did?" Jenny nodded her head and moved aise and said "Come on in." The three of them go inside of the house and inside the house the four of them went into the kitchen, Sari is at the kitchen table doing homework and Richie her jumpy toddler brother, is in his playpen.Ritchie keeps saying "Juice! Juice! Juice! Juice!" Jenny says to the three of them "That's Ritchie, he's kinda juice junkie." She goes to the fridge and gets his sippy cup and then gives it to richie and continues "But, hey, at least he won't get scurvy." She then walks over to her daughter Sari and she says "Sari, this is Sam and Dean and their friend Sarah, Sam and Dean used to live here." Sari looks up them and says "Hi." Dean waves at her and sam and sarah says "Hey Sari." Dean then asks Jenny " So, you just moved in?" Jenny said "Yeah, from Wichita." Sarah asked "You got family here, or....?" Jenny replied "No. I just, uh....needed a fresh start, that's all. So, new town, new job –- I mean, as soon as I find one. New house."

Sam then asked Jenny "So, how you likin' it so far?" She looks at them both of the boys and says to them "Well, uh, all due respect to your childhood home –- I mean, I'm sure you had lots of happy memories here." Dean just smiles weakly and then she continues and says "But this place has its issues." Sam looked at Jenny and said "What do you mean?" Jenny sighed and she said as she was looking at Sam and Dean "Well, it's just getting old. Like the wiring, you know? We've got flickering lights almost hourly." Dean said "Oh, that's too bad. What else?" She continued with the problems in her house "Um...sink's backed up, there's rats in the basement." She then pauses for a few seconds and she says "I'm sorry. I don't mean to complain."

Dean who's not offended says "No. Have you seen the rats or have you just heard scratching?" Jenny looks at Dean and says "It's just the scratching, actually." Sari looks at her and she says "Mom?" Jenny kneels down beside Sari and she continues "Ask them if it was here when they lived here." Sam said something before anyone else spoke and he said "What, Sari?" She looked up at the three of them and she said "The thing in my closet." Jenny sighed and she looked at Sari and she said "Oh, no, baby, there was nothing in their closets." She looked at Sarah, Sam and Dean and continued with "Right?" Sam said "Right. No, no, of course not." Jenny then said "She had a nightmare the other night." Sari then said I wasn't dreaming. It came into my bedroom –- and it was on fire." Sarah, Sam and Dean look at each other shocked.

Outside of the Winchester House, Sarah, Dean and Sam are walking back to the car and Sam says "You hear that? A figure on fire." Sarah looked at Sam whilst they was walking and she asked "And that woman, Jenny, that was the woman in your dreams?" He looked at her and he said "Yeah. And you hear what she was talking about? Scratching, flickering lights, both signs of a malevolent spirit." Dean then said "Yeah, well, I'm just freaked out that your weirdo visions are comin' true." Sam who said panicking "Well, forget about that for a minute, The thing is the house do you think it's the thing that killed mom and jess?" Dean sighed and said "I don't know." Sam said "Well, I mean, has it come back or has it been here the whole time?" Sarah then says "Or maybe it's something completely different, we don't know Sam." Sam looked at both of them and said "Well those people are in danger Sarah and Dean and we have to get them out of the house." Sarah touched sam arm and she said "And we will." Sam said "No, I mean now." Dean looked at him and said "And how are the three of us gonna do that, you've got a story you can tell her?"

They got to the gas station sarah had gone inside to pay for gas and some drinks and snacks whilst she did that Dean and Sam was having a conversation and Dean said to Sam "We just gotta chill out, that's all. You know, if this is our kinda job what would we do?" Sam sighs and then he looks at Dean and then says "We'd try to figure out, what we are dealing with we'd dig into the history of the house." Dean then said "Exactly, except this time we already know what happened." Sam says "Yeah, but how much do we know? I mean, how much do you actually remember?" Dean leaned against the impala and sighed and said "About that night, you mean?" Sam simply said "Yeah."Dean said "Not much. I remember the fire...the heat. [He pauses for a moment.] And then I carried you out the front door." Sam looked at Dean and he said " You did?"

Sam looks at Dean and says "You did?" Dean looks back at Sam and says "Yeah, what you never knew that?" Sam shook his head and said "No." Dean then said "And, well, you know Dad's story as well as I do. Mom was....was on the ceiling. And whatever put her there was long gone by the time Dad found her." Sam said "And he never had a theory, about what did it?" Dean said "If he did, he kept it to himself God knows we asked him enough times."Sam said "Okay, So if we are gonna figure out what's goin on now...we have to figure out what happened back then, and see if it's the same thing." Sarah come out of the gas station shop and walked over to sam and dean who was still talking and she let the continue she sat next to them and then Dean said " Yeah. We'll talk to Dad's friends, neighbors, people who were there at the time." Sam said after a short pause "Does this feel like another job to you?" Dean doesn't say anything for a few minutes and then he says "I'll be right back. I gotta go to the bathroom."

He walks away after turning a corner, he stands next to the bathroom door and takes out his cell phone and dials his dad's number but he gets his dad's voicemail and he said "This is John Winchester. If this is an emergency, call my son, Dean at 866-907-3235." Then there was the beeping sound and dean then says "Dad? I know I've left you messages before. I don't even know if you'll get 'em." He then clears his throat and says "But I'm with Sam and Sarah she's a friend of ours and Jess's sister,And we're in Lawrence. And there's somethin' in our old house. I don't know if it's the thing that killed Mom or not, but...." His voice starts breaking and he continues "...I don't know what to do and he begins to cry. So, whatever you're doin', if you could get here. Please. I need your help, Dad." He hangs up sadly, with tears coming out of his eyes.

Back at the winchester house Jenny is showing a plumber to the kitchen, near the sink and she says to the plumber "No sir, nothing went down there. I promise the sink just backed up on it's own." The Plumber said "Well, I'll take a look." Jenny said "Thanks. Oh, okay, I'll get out of your way." Jenny gets out of the plumber's away and he sets down his tools and begins looking at the pipes under the sink. A few feet away, by Ritchie's playpen, a toy monkey is sitting with cymbals in its hands. Without warning, the monkey starts up. It clashes its cymbals together loudly while cackling. After a moment, the plumber looks up, confused. The toy stops. The plumber stands up and tries turning on the garbage disposal, but it doesn't work. Instead, he rolls up his sleeve and sticks his hand down the disposal. He thinks he feels something in the drain, but when he takes his hand out, there is nothing there. He sticks most of his arm back down the disposal. Suddenly, the garbage disposal starts up. The plumber's arm is being completely torn apart as blood splatters everywhere. At the same time, the cymbal-clashing monkey starts up again, cackling as the plumber screams.

At Guenther's Auto repair shop Sam, Dean and Sarah are talking to the owner of the garage, Sarah asked "So you and John Winchester you used to own this garage together?" The owner said "Yeah, we used to, a long time ago. Matter of fact, it must be, uh...twenty years since John disappeared. So why the cops interested all of a sudden?" Dean then said "Oh, we're re-opening some of our unsolved cases and the Winchester disappearance is one of 'em." Owner said "Oh, well, what do you wanna know about John?" Sarah said " Well, whatever you remember, you know, whatever sticks out in your mind." The owner said "Well...he was a stubborn bastard, I remember that. [He laughs.] And, uh, whatever the game, he hated to lose, you know? It's that whole Marine thing." Sam and Dean nodded and the owner continued and said "But, oh, he sure loved Mary. And he doted on those kids." Sam asked "But that was before the fire?" Owner says "That's right."

Sam looked at the owner and said "Did he ever talk about that night?" Owner said to them "No, not at first, I think he was in shock." Sam said "Right, But eventually? What did he say about it?" The owner says "Oh, he wasn't thinkin' straight. He said somethin' caused that fire and killed Mary." Dean said "Did he ever say what it was?" The owner said "Nothin' did it. It was an accident –- an electrical short in the ceiling or walls or somethin'. I begged him to get some help, but..." Sarah then said "But what?" The owner said "Oh, he just got worse and worse." Dean then asks "How?" The owner looked at Dean and said "Oh, he started readin' these strange ol' books. He started goin' to see this palm reader in town." Dean said confused "Palm Reader? Uh, do you have a name?" The owner looks at the three of them and he just "Scoffs" and says "No."

Outside of the impala Sam, Dean and Sarah was near a payphone and sam was flicking through a phonebook and he said "All right, so there's a few psychics and palm readers in town. There's someone named El Divino, There's a uh---" He laughs and continues "There's the mysterious Mister Fortinsky, Uh, Missouri Moseley---." Dean then said "Wait, wait Missouri Moseley?" Sam replied simply with "What?" Dean asks "That's a psychic?" Sam said "Uh, yeah, I guess so." Dean goes to the backseat of the impala and pulls out his dad's journal. Dean comes back and says "In Dad's journal...here, look at this." He opens to the first page. and he continues says "First page, first sentence, read that." Sam takes the journal from dean and he says "I went to Missouri and I learned the truth." Dean shrugs and says " I always thought he meant the state."

Inside Missouri's house, she's escorting a man out of the house while Dean, Sam and Sarah was waiting and sitting on the couch. Missouri said to the man "All right, there. Don't you worry 'bout a thing. Your wife is crazy about you." He thanks her and she closes the front door and then says "Whew. Poor bastard. His woman is cold-bangin' the gardener." Dean then asked "Why didn't you tell him?" She looks at Dean and says "People don't come here for the truth. They come for good news." The three of them just stare at her and then she says "Well? Sam, Sarah and Dean com on already? I haven't got all day." She leaves the room Dean, Sam and Sarah all exchange confused looks and then they follow her into the room. She says the three of them "Well, lemme look at ya." She laughs and then she continues with "Oh, you boys grew up handsome and you must be sarah wow you are beautiful and Dean you was a goofy looking kid too." Dean glares while sam and sarah smirks and then she looks at Sam and says "Sam." She takes his hand and says "Oh, honey...I am sorry for the loss of your girlfriend and sarah i'm sorry for the loss of your sister." All three of them was surprised and then she added "Boys your father's missing?"

Sam then asks "How do you know that?" Missouri said " Well, you were just thinkin it now." Sam was surprised and he raised his eyebrows then Dean asked "Well, where is he? Is he okay?" Missouri simply said " I don't know." Dean was confused and then he said "Don't know? Well, you're supposed to be a psychic, right?" Missouri looked at dean and said " Boy, you see me sawin' some bony tramp in half? You think I'm a magician? I may be able to read thoughts and sense energies in a room, but I can't just pull facts out of thin air. Sit, please." Sarah and Sam smirk at Dean and they both sit down and just as Dean sits down Missouri snaps at him "Boy, you put your foot on my coffee table, I'm 'a whack you with a spoon!" Dean again was confused and he said " I didn't do anything." Missouri said "But you were thinkin' about it." Dean raises his eyebrows, sarah and sam both smile.

Sam then asked "Okay. So, our dad –- when did you first meet him?" Missouri said "He came for a reading. A few days after the fire. I just told him what was really out there in the dark. I guess you could say...I drew back the curtains for him." Dean then asked " What about the fire? Do you know about what killed our mom?" Missouri said "A little. Your daddy took me to your house. He was hopin' I could sense the echoes, the fingerprints of this thing." Sam asked "And could you?" She simply says "I..." Before shaking her head yes, Sam then asks "What was it?" Missouri looked at Sam and Dean and sighed and said softly "I don't know. Oh, but it was evil." Back at the Winchester's house Jenny is on the phone in the kitchen with Richie Jumping in his playpen and she said "Look, I feel just awful about the poor man's hand. [...] Wait, but how can I be held liable? [...] Yeah, but I can't afford a lawyer." Suddenly there was a loud noise from upstairs and she then says to the person on the phone "Okay, listen, you just gotta let me call you back." She hangs up the phone and then looks at Ritchie and she says " Ritchie, um, Mommy's gonna be right back, okay?" Richie simply said "Okay." Jenny leaves the kitchen and goes upstairs to investigate the noise.

Back at Missouri's house and she asked the boys "So...you think somethin' is back at the house?" Sam replied with "Definitely" Missouri was confused and she said "I don't understand." Sam simply said "What?" She replied with " I haven't been back inside, but I've been keepin' an eye on the place, and it's been quiet. No sudden deaths, no freak accidents. Why is it actin' up now?" Sam said "I don't know, But dad gone missing and Jessica's dying and now this house all happening at once ---- It's just feels something's starting." Dean looked at sam and said "That's a comforting thought." Back at the house While Ritchie is on his own in the kitchen , one of the screws on his playpen mysteriously comes out of place. One of the playpen's sides falls to the floor. At the same time, the safety latch on the door of the refrigerator comes undone. The refrigerator opens. Curious, Ritchie walks over to it inside he sees his sippy cup and Ritchie simply says "Juicy." He climbs into the refrigerator and the door closes behind him and the safety latch locks in place.

Jenny walked back into the kitchen and she says not realising that ritchie is locked in the refrigerator "Oh, baby, either we have rats or Mommy's going crazy." She looks over at the playpen and starts panicking calling for "Ritchie, Ritchie." Panicked she rushes around the whole house looking for her son and tries to find him but she has not luck and says "Baby where are you?" She comes back into the kitchen and she's heavy breathing she then sees that milk has leaked out of the refrigerator and quickly goes over there and unlocks the refrigerator and sees that ritchie is in the refrigerator and she grabs him and holds him tight and breaths a sigh of relief.

Then there was a knock on the front door so she went to answer it seeing Sam, Dean, Sarah and a mystery woman that she's never seen before and she says "Sarah, Sam and Dean, what are you doing here?" Sam says to Jenny "Hey, Jenny. This is our friend, Missouri." Dean then says "If it's not too much trouble, we were hoping to show her the old house. You know, for old time's sake." Jenny said "You know, this isn't a good time. I'm kind of busy." Dean said "Listen Jenny, It's important." Missouri smacks dean up the side of the head and he looked at her with a stern look and he simply says "Ow!" Missouri then said whilst looking at Dean she said " Give the poor girl a break, can't you see she's upset?" She then looks at Jenny and says "Forgive this boy, he means well, he's just not the sharpest tool in the shed, but hear me out." Dean is stunned and Jenny asks "About what?" Missouri looked at Jenny still and she said "About the House." Jenny was confused and she asked Missouri "What are you talking about?" Missouri replies with ": I think you know what I'm talking about. You think there's something in this house, something that wants to hurt your family. Am I mistaken?" Jenny said concerned "Who are you?"

Missouri says "We're people who can help, who can stop this thing. But you're gonna have to trust us, just a little." Jenny looks unsure but she let's them in and their head to Sari's bedroom first and Missouri said "If there's a dark energy around here, this room should be the center of it." Sam asked "Why?" Missouri looked at Sam and she said "This used to be your nursery, Sam. This is where it all happened." Sam glanced at the ceiling, While missouri looks around the room Dean pulls out his EMF meter and Missouri noticed and she said "That an EMF?" Dean simply replied with "Yeah." Missouri wasn't exactly impressed and said to him "Amateur" Dean glares at her and then he nudges Sam and Sarah and shows them that the EMF meter is beeping frantically and she continued and said "I don't know if you boys should be disappointed or relieved, but this ain't the thing that took your mom." Sam then asks missouri "Wait, are you sure?" She nods and he continues with "How do you know?"

Missouri said "It isn't the same energy I felt the last time I was here. It's somethin' different." Dean asked "What is it?" Missouri said to dean "Not it." She opens the closet and says "Them. There's more than one spirit in this place." Sam looked at Sarah and Dean both confused and then Dean said "What are they doing here?" Missouri looked at Dean and she said "They're here because of what happened to your family. You see, all those years ago, real evil came to you. It walked this house. That kind of evil leaves wounds. And sometimes, wounds get infected." Sarah says "I don't understand." Missouri looks at Sarah and she says "This place is a magnet for paranormal energy. It's attracted a poltergeist. A nasty one. And it won't rest until Jenny and her babies are dead." Sam then asked "You said there was more than one spirit." Missouri said "There is. I just can't quite make out the second one." Dean then said "Well, one thing's for damn sure –- nobody's dyin' in this house ever again. So whatever is here, how do we stop it?"

At Missouri's house Sam, Dean, Sarah and Missouri are sitting around a table on the table are different herbs and roots and then Dean asks "So, what is all this stuff, anyway?" Missouri says " Angelica Root, Van Van oil, crossroad dirt, a few other odds and ends." Dean said "Yeah? What are we supposed to do with it?" Missouri says "We're gonna put them inside the walls in the north, south, east, west corners on each floor of the house." Sarah says "We'll be punchin' holes in the dry wall. Jenny's gonna love that." Missouri's slyly says "She'll live." Sam then asks Missouri "And this'll destroy the spirits?" Missouri looks over at Sam and he says "It should. It should purify the house completely. We'll each take a floor. But we work fast. Once the spirits realize what we're up to, things are gonna get bad."

At the Winchester's house Missouri is walking Jenny and her two kids outside, Jenny says "Look, I'm not sure I'm comfortable leaving you guys here alone." Missouri says "Just take your kids to the movies or somethin', and it'll be over by the time you get back." Jenny is still unsure but she leaves with her kids and missouri heads back inside. Inside the house Sam goes into one of the rooms with a hammer. He kneels down by the wall and begins using the end of the hammer to hit against the walls. While he is doing this, a plug on the other side of the room takes itself out of the outlet. A lamp begins to move on its own also. The plug snakes its way towards Sam, downstairs in the kitchen, Dean is punching the wall with a small ax. Behind him, a drawer begins to open on its own. In the basement Sarah and Missouri are looking around, She brings a bag full of herbs to the wall. She hears a noise and turns around to see a table coming towards the both of them, They both scream as it pins them against the wall. Back in the kitchen, Dean also hears a noise. He quickly ducks just as a knife hurls itself into a cabinet. Dean places a table in front of himself as more knives come through it. Upstairs, Sam is is chopping a hole in the wall. The lamp crashes to the ground. Sam turns around to see what the noise was , and the cord wraps itself around his neck. Sam falls to the ground, trying to get the cord off. Eventually, he lies weak on the floor. Dean runs into the room and he sees sam on the floor and says "Sam!" He quickly runs over to sam and and tries to get the cord off, but it won't budge. Instead,Dean kicks a hole in the wall and places the bag of herbs inside. A blinding white light leaves the room. Once the spirit is gone, Dean immediately goes straight over to Sam who is completely weak he unravels the cord from around Sam's neck and pulls him into a fierce hug.

A few hours later Sarah, Sam, Dean and Missouri are standing in the extremely messy kitchen, Sam asked "You sure this is over?" Missouri looked over at her and she said "I'm sure. Why? Why do you ask?" Sam then said "Never mind." He sighs and continues " It's nothin', I guess." They hear Jenny and her kids enter the house and says "Hello? we're home." She comes into the kitchen and looks around and she asks "What happened?" Sarah said " Hi, sorry. Um, we'll pay for all of this." Dean looks at Sarah confused and then Missouri looks at Jenny and she says "on't you worry. Dean's gonna clean up this mess." Dean just stands there and says and does nothing until Missouri said "Well, what are you waiting for, boy? Get the mop." He begins walking away and she says "And don't cuss at me!" He walks away muttering under his breath, A little while later, Missouri, Sarah and the boys leave the house Jenny waves at them and then closes the door."

Later that night Jenny was in bed, reading a magazine she yawns and then she puts the magazine down on her bedside table After turning off the light and sliding underneath the covers, she goes to sleep. A few seconds later, she opens her eyes, startled. The bed begins to shake violently. She screams and gets out of bed. Meanwhile, outside, Dean, Sarah and Sam are sitting in the car and Sarah said "All right tell us again, what are we still doing here?" Sam said "I don't know. I just...I still have a bad feeling." Dean then said "Why? Missouri did her whole Zelda Rubinstein thing, the house should be clean, it should be over." Sam says "Yeah, well, probably. But I just wanna make sure, that's all." Dean then said "Yeah, well, problem is we could be sleeping in a bed right now." He slides down his sit and closes his eyes sarah and sam looks up at Jenny's window and their see her screaming, just like in Sam's dream and Sarah says to Dean panicked "Dean. Look, Dean!" They all rush out of the car and head for the house Dean said to Sam and Sarah "You two grab the kids, I'll grab Jenny."

Inside Sari's bedroom, the figure made out of fire is standing by her closet. In the hallway Dean heads to Jenny's room and says "Jenny." From the other side of the door Jenny says "I can't open the door!" Dean then warns her and says " Stand back!" She stands back from the door and dean kicks the door and brings her downstairs. Jenny shouts "No my kids." Dean says to Jenny "Sarah and Sam are getting your kids."Sarah held Ritchie whilst Sam went to get Sari from her bedroom and she's screaming for help, Sam goes to Sari's bed and picks her up. The two of them leave the room and sam says to Sari "Don't look! Don't look!" They leave the bedroom. Outside, Dean and Jenny rush out of the house. Inside the house, Sam looks to sarah and he puts sari down and says "Take the kids outside as fast as you can and don't look back." Sarah looks at Sam concerned and says "Why, what are you gonna do?"

Suddenly an unseen force grabbed sam and dragged him by his legs into other room of the house, sarah did as she was told and took the kids outside to Dean and Jenny and once they joined them Jenny hugged her kids straight away and looked at Dean and she said "Sam is still inside something grabbed him and dragged him away to other room." Dean said to Sarah "Stay here i'll go and get sam." She nodded her head and said to him "Please come back in one piece both of you." She kissed him on the cheek and he went to the impala and got an ax and a gun and then he went to the front door and begins chopping away at it. Inside the kitchen, Sam gets flung into a set of cabinets he stands up and is pinned against the wall by the invisible force. He can't move any part of his body. The fire figure makes its way towards Sam, dean continues chopping down parts of the door he eventually, he makes a hole big enough for him to fit through he walks into the house and looks for sam.

Dean shouts Sam? Sam!" He finds sam and the fire figure, he raises his gun and Sam said to Dean "No, Don't! Don't!" Dean looks at sam confused and then he says "Because I know who it is. I can see her now." Suddenly the fire vanishes Instead, standing in front of them is Mary Winchester, exactly as she was the night she died. Dean's expression softens. In shock, he lowers his gun slowly. Dean softly says "Mom?" Mary steps forward to Dean and he has a tear in his eye as she says "Dean." She then walks to sam who is still pinned up against the wall and she says "Sam." He smiles weakly, crying his mother's smile fades and she simply says "I'm sorry." Sam asks "For what?" She looks at him sadly, but says nothing. She walks away from them and looks up at the ceiling and she says "You get out of my house. And let go of my son." She then turns back into flames When she is entirely engulfed, the fire reaches the ceiling and disappears. The force holding Sam releases him and he walks over to Dean and they looked at each other stunned and sam simply says "Now it's over."

The following morning they was back at the old house and sarah waited by the car for sam and dean and there's jenny and he says "Thanks for these." Jenny looked at him and said "Don't thank me, they're yours." Dean puts the box of photos into the boot of the car sitting on the front steps of the house, Sam was joined by Missouri and she said to him "Well, there are no spirits in there anymore, this time for sure." Sam looked over at her and he said "Not even my mom?" Missouri looks at sam with a sad expression and says "No." Sam was curious and said "What happened?" Missouri still looking at Sam said "Your mom's spirit and the poltergeist's energy, they cancelled each other out. Your mom destroyed herself goin' after the thing." Sam then asked "Why would she do something like that?" Missouri said "Well, to protect her boys, of course." She then looks at him sad and puts a hand on his shoulder and continues "Sam, I'm sorry." Sam said "For what?" Missouri said "You sensed it was here, didn't you? Even when I couldn't." Sam wanted to know what was wrong with him hoping Missouri knew the answer so he asked her " What's happening to me?" She said to sam "I know I should have all the answers, but I don't know."

Sarah went into the car and dean looked over at sam and asked him "You ready sam?" He nods and goes to the car, Jenny thanks all of them. Missouri says to the three of them "Don't be strangers now." Dean simply said "We won't." Missouri says "See you around." Jenny waves, they smile, the two boys get into the car and the three of them drive away. Missouri's house she sets her purse down and says "That boy...he has such powerful abilities. But why he couldn't sense his own father, I have no idea." She walks into the room and sitting on the couch is John Winchester and he says "Mary's spirit –- do you really think she saved the boys?" Missouri looked over at John and she said "I do." John smiled and then looked down at his wedding ring and Missouri continued and she said "John Winchester, I could just slap you. Why won't you go talk to your children?" John said tearfully "I want to. You have no idea how much I wanna see 'em. But I can't. Not yet. Not until I know the truth."
