29. Alex vs Alice and finals
(A/N: you guys earned another chapter with those hundred power stones. I know you guys want a timeskip and be done with it but I don't understand why. He is getting action in literal sense and metaphorical. I like to keep my story at a relaxed pace and show the interaction between characters to make them seem alive rather than just a summary or a logbook.)
After the finishing of the matches. Everyone was requested to go home and prepare for the finals tomorrow to decide the top dog in Special class.
Alex took a relaxing day as he took a bath and just slept early without training to keep in top shape for the next day. His match with Alice might not be so easy.
The next day, Alex prepared himself and got to the gym and just sat down in the seating area. Alice on the other hand, was sitting on the opposite side of him.
She looked like she was facing a death battle ahead and wanted to make her entrance from the opposite side of him.
She didn't even talk to him yesterday after that little declaration of hers. Alex could only smile helplessly at her little antics but she was still quite a child playful to be honest.
"Alexander Oosuki and Alice Abernathy. Please cheer them up". The announcer said as the audience shouted in support for the both of them.
The loudest in the audience were Grayfia, Raikou, Mamako and Alice's father but he was masked by the voice of three Yandere mothers.
The girls sitting in the contestants area were in dismay as they didn't know, who to cheer for today. As Alex and Alice were their friends. So they opted to stay silent and just enjoy the fight.
Alex headed off to the the stage as Alice entered from the other side. She immediately used her stance as she was holding guns in both hands and pointed them at him.
Alex just stood there with his axe on his shoulder and didn't even bother with the guns pointed at him.
As the match began, Alice started shooting her guns at him as Alex just put the Axe in front of him to block the bullets to his more weak parts of the body.
He rushed towards her but Alice maintained a steady distance between the two of them. Alex saw that it wasn't working. So he just started chasing her with even more vigour in his steps.
Just when she concentrating on finding his weak spot, where she can get a good hit in. Alex threw his axe at her while running behind it.
Alice was a bit dazed because of the unexpected situation and lack of combat experience. She quickly tried to duck below but Alex came behind the axe and swept her legs.
Then slammed her down and held her in a hard choke. He held by the neck with his elbow and directly constricted her legs with his.
Alice used the remaining hands to slam her elbow on the side of his stomach that made Alex flinch but he didn't let go.
Alice's face turned red but she didn't stop struggling. She lifted her head and struck back with full force. Seeing her doing this, Alex just tilted his head tot he side.
Alice's head hit him on the side of his head and didn't do much damage. He tightened his grip on her neck that slowly made her face turn purple. Alice lifted her hand and tried to pull on Alex's hairs and she was even able take some hairs off his head.
But Alex's persistence won and Alice fainted from the lack of oxygen in her body. After making sure that she was down. Alex stood up as the announcer gave the cry.
"Alex Oosuki wins. We have our Year 1 Champion". The voice resounded in the whole gym as the med team quickly took Alice back to the ward and did their thing.
Alex just ran towards the medical ward to check on Alice as this time, he blocked her from breathing. So he felt a little guilty about it.
He was standing in front of the room as the healers quickly did the procedures and stabilised her situation. They gave her an oxygen mask. Alex was feeling very bad when he saw that.
He opted to wait near her as her family also came up to see her situation. Her father was glaring daggers at him.
Alex in return just looked at Alice and gave him a sheepish smile. The rest of the girls also came in the room to see as they just waited with Alex.
Being children, they couldn't sit still and started talking to each other in hushed voices. "Robin, will you challenge someone to take his seat?" Ye Lian asked as Hinata perked up her ears.
"I am thinking of challenging the guy with the daggers because we match in the use of weapons". Robin nodded and answered thoughtfully.
"Good~, I plan to challenge one of the top 4". Ye Lian nodded as she expressed her opinion.
"Hinata, what about you?" Robin asked Hinata, who was just looking at Alex with a blush and a frown.
"O-oh, I am to going to take the top 3 seats and stay close to Alex-kun". Hinata said with determination but her face was read and embarrassed when she mentioned Alex.
The two girls beside her just shook their heads at this fanatical girl. But they couldn't really blame her. Alex's charm was just that high to their young minds.
They just waited and talked about different things like beautiful clothes, Martial arts and toys that they bought with their family.
Hinata listened in a bit of envy as her Father never really bought toys or dolls for her. Alex heard a bit of their conversation and looked at Hinata's envious eyes with pity.
He thought about going to the market and bring her a doll that he thought she would like. 'Last time I went, I got into a bit of trouble. I wonder how she is doing'. Alex remembered the girl he saved when he went out without anyone knowing.
It was fun and stupid to roam around as a child without escort and protection as he wasn't strong enough at that time.
The girls looked at Alex's faint reminiscent smile and Hinata and Ye Lian's Alex sensors started blaring. They stood up and went close to him immediately.
"What happened?" Alex looked at them with confusion as they just suddenly came up to him without warning.
"Alex-kun, whoa re you thinking about?" Hinata asked with a smile that wasn't a smile.
Even Grayfia, Mamako and Raikou outside the ward were a bit uncomfortable from the feeling in their hearts. They were feeling jealousy for some reason.
"Oh, nothing too important". Alex just waved his hand as he didn't plan to explain anything at the moment.
"Oh, is that so". Ye Lian looked at Alex with an angry expression and pouted. She stopped talking to him altogether and went back to her seat.
Hinata on the other hand, sat down beside Alex as she started talking to him. Alex also accompanied her with a smile on his face.
After about half an hour, Alice woke up and looked around. "Oh my baby". Alice's mother hugged her tightly without minding others in the room.
"Auntie, you should let her breathe. She just fainted because of it". Alex reminded from the side when he looked at Alice's condition.
Alice's mother left her with a startle and backed down a bit. Alice's father was standing there like a male tsundere with a stoic face and his arms crossed. But there was worry visible in his eyes.
