Plans and adventure
Jason had finished helping the twins make dinner. They brought the bowls of meat and potatoes to the table in the dining room. The table was a simple wooden one and the chairs were also cheap-looking and wooden. The three of them sat down and started eating. Jason wasn't as hungry as the rest of them he had already eaten in-game. The twins, on the other hand, ate as if their lives depended on it, shoveling mouthful after mouthful into their faces.
Jason calmly ate and waited for the twins to finish. It had been 2-3 days since they had seen each other even though they were at most 10 minutes away from each other. They were just so busy playing the game that they didn't have time to do anything besides creating a good foundation to use later. Perseus was the first to finish his food he gave a loud burp and then started talking in an annoyed manner.
"Man that businessman is useless! he doesn't even know where to start in investing in-game."
Perseus grabbed a nearby water bottle and took a large swig, Jason and Arjuna both patiently waited for Perseus to finish. Perseus slammed down the bottle in an angry fashion.
"literally every day he comes to me to ask for advice!!!! UGH, can't he do something better than wasting my precious time? so I just told him to look for talents in the industry and martial artist of all sorts. Maybe even some ex-military people or something, results should come in 2-3 weeks when the rest of the gamers come into the world"
Boops compensated in all three of their heads
'I can't believe that the tutorial is that long, I mean sure, a day or so is fine, but 3 fricking weeks!!! Their better be a legit excuse for this'
Jason answered calmly
"I'm sure the MH company has its own reasons for it besides that Perseus how are you doing in-game?"
Perseus thought for a bit
"well... Jack is doing well, he's a natural rouge and my plan to make him a high ranked person in the reapers is still in its preparation phase as he needs to level up a bit more."
Jason asked
"hows the guild making plan?"
Perseus simply held up his hand with his fingers rubbing each other. It was the sign of money
Jason thought for a moment and then remembered the 20 gold coins sitting in his inventory
"how much?"
"10"
Jason hadn't tried taking out in-game things from his inventory, but theirs a first for everything. He pulled up his inventory selected the 20 gold coins. Jason thought of something and he asked Boops really quicky
"Boops do the twins have inventories in real life?"
'Yeah any person that is connected with a system always has an inventory, theirs is limited though but it basically functions the same.'
"oh okay great"
Jason then reached for the gold coins in his inventory and selected them, a notification came up to Jason
[would you like to retrieve 10 gold coins?]
[yes/no]
Jason didn't see this notification before but he clicked yes
[as it's an in-game item you must spend 20 points to take it out, are you willing?]
[yes/no]
Ah that made so much more sense
"yes"
10 glittering gold pieces fell into Jason's hand. Jason handed them to Perseus who put them into his inventory. It seems like it didn't cost anything to place in-game items back in. Jason started thinking about how rich he would get if he sold in-game items in the real world. A plan started to form in his head. But then Boops crushed it immediately
'I know what you thinking, but the amount of points when you take it out an item is much more valuable than a world's money.'
"awwww frick really?"
'Yeah, sorry to pop your bubble'
"tch my get rich plan has been destroyed"
Jason turned to Arjuna who was patiently waiting for Jason to finish talking with Boops
"Alright, Arjuna lets hear from you, and also, how much money do you need to make a team?"
Arjuna took a long sigh and said in a tired quiet voice
"I'm sorry to tell you this master, but currently I'm way too busy to make or manage a team"
Perseus asked with his brash voice
"eh? whats your schedule?"
Arjuna started to list of everything
"so in the morning I go and collect herbs mostly goldenseal for most of the morning I deliver it to the alchemy guild and sometimes to the adventures guild when they ask for it, then I go to the dawn alchemists at noon to practice and learn potion-making and alchemy. I spend 4 hours there. Then I head out to hunt to get my level ups and that's usually my break time, but now I was offered to be taught by a master archer so their goes that free time. I haven't gone to the archer guild to be taught yet but I'm sure that it will take more than 3 hours. Afterwards, it will already be night, and then I go to sleep and rinse and repeat."
Arjuna slammed his hands into his face yelling in a frustrated and annoyed voice
"I just want to hunt and explore the world alone! but the people there are making me do so much work!!!!"
Arjuna calmed down from his outburst recovered his original expression of quiet calmness.
"sorry master but give me a few weeks to make all of the guild happy and then I should have enough time to set a team up."
Jason thought for a bit, currently, it was fine for Arjuna to not set up an adventures team since no players were their yet and he could only recruit NPCs, what made him think though was the small wish Arjuna had.
"Arjuna I will promise you now, that afterwards when we are all done with the starting stage, ill let you take a long break to do whatever you want."
Arjuna looked at Jason in disbelief
"really?"
"yeah, but you're going to have to endure the NPC's requests for now"
Arjuna responded worriedly
"I can do that, but what worries me is that they will want to recruit me to their side."
Jason nodded
"That means that you have the chance to rise up their ranks and become influential in there! Its fine if you join another NPC faction i really don't care about that as long as that faction isn't against one that any of us are against, just don't join a player lead one i don't think that will end well if you do"
Jason looked at Perseus
"the same goes for you Perseus if you really think that there's no other step then doing that then its fine"
Both of them nodded
Arjuna answered honestly and fervently
"but don't worry master even if we are part of a faction we will never leave you"
Perseus added
"yeah same here"
Jason didn't notice it until later but again the notification went up
[the twins loyalty for you has increased]
This one Boops accepted
'Yeah I'm fine with this one, its because the twins realized that Jason trusts them enough to let them do their own thing, so obviously their loyalty would increase"
The twins then looked at Jason expectantly, they had just shared their stories so Jason should be next. Jason before thought that he didn't need to share his situation but looking at how the twins revealed everything to him even their frustrations and hopes he realized that he shouldn't keep everything a secret from those who he trusts.
So he went and explained to them everything about his situation from how he got accepted into the rose knights to the training courses and finally the small adventures he was having with the wolves. The twins sucked in everything, they thought about them for a bit and even discussed amount themselves about what would be the next best move for Jason.
Arjuna came up to Jason with their answer
"master, have you considered recruiting the wolves?"
Jason thought for a moment and answered
"to be honest no, not at all"
"well we think that it would be the best move"
Jason raised his eyebrows in an inquisitive manner and leaned back in his cheap wooden chair
"really? well please tell me about it"
Perseus nodded toward Arjuna who ran to their room and grabbed a whiteboard and some markers. Perseus grabbed a marker and started drawing a stick figure and a pack of wolves.
He then made a small map with the training center and the forest thanks to Boops's map which he shared with the twins via the system. They then started to mark where the baits were placed and taken out on the map. Perseus stood up and faced Jason.
"Okay listen up master cause this is going to important for you."
Perseus then pushed up imaginary glasses up his nose and grinned.
