"Well then, let's introduce ourselves?" James asked as he motioned for the entire group to sit on the benches in the shelter, they looked around with a bit of suspicion before Elena took a step forward and sat down on a bench on the wall with everyone following suit soon after.

"Well I know you all know me already but I'll introduce myself anyway." Elena said and started thinking about how to tell her life story to the group, "My name is Elena and I'm one of Sub-zero's personal disciples!"

(Flashback noises!)

"I was taken to the Kuai Liang orphanage when I was a baby and as far as I know my parents may have been killed by my master or I was sold by them so I never went after them..." Elena paused before returning saying : "The training started when all the orphans turned 5 years old..."

Elena slowly told her childhood to those at the table and received many different looks, Mercury and Cage gave looks of anger and indignation, James was neutral as he was going through a worse childhood and Scout was trying to imagine her situation and realized that despite different, Dr. Xavier's academy for gifted young people did the same thing only less intensely.

"We had 2 masters as you know, The Black Widow who taught us about politics, espionage, manipulation and Sub-zero, who taught us combat techniques and broke our minds and remade it to be a good assassin!"

Elena remembered the days of hellish training, duels against her companions, the breaking of the body that consisted of being beaten until unconsciousness, everything and she shivered slightly but she knows that all that made her what she is today and made her know the one she loved .

Elena deflected her opponent's blade with her scythe and delivered a circular kick towards the opponent's stomach who threw his body backwards and used the kick's momentum to move away.

They stared at each other for a moment before returning to exchanging fast and beautiful blows, looking like a dance, but after a while Elena began to show exhaustion and missed her first step causing her to lose her posture.

"Shit!" She said when she saw her opponent's fist coming towards her, (POW!) Michael's punch sank into Elena's face and sent her flying but she spun in the air before landing gracefully and wiping away the blood oozing from the mouth.

"Stop!" William's voice sounded in place and the two stopped, "Your performance has been getting worse lately Elena better go through some extra training!" William approached the two and spoke to Elena before turning to his opponent.

"And Michael is getting better as ever, before long you will be able to take the test to become an official assassin to stop being an apprentice!" Michael nodded in pride and humility.

William was no longer in that room and went to another room to see another duel, when he left Elena and Michael gave sighs of relief and took off their masks, Michael was a rather handsome boy, however the apex of his masculinity was his perfect, balanced and streamlined chin that looked to be sculpted by genius.

(Hahahaha, I screwed up his image already, but he really does have a perfect chin.)

Elena looked at Michael's face and blushed slightly, "Well today your performance was a little worse than yesterday something happened?" Michael asked lightly but it only made Elena shy.

"I can't say that's why I'm fighting him can I?" Elena said mentally as she blushed and got a few laughs from Michael before they both voted to train.

That was until Michael's promotion day, "Today I gather all of you to watch your colleague Michael take the test to go from apprentice to order killer!" William said as he looked at all the disciples he trained.

Michael got up and walked to the middle of the room and made a sign of respect to William, "I'm ready master!" He said as he waited for his test to be today, "Great Elena get up and go to the center, the test of Michael will be done together with you!"

Elena was taken by surprise when she was called but quickly moved to the middle of the room and waved to Michael and William, she was curious about the test and patiently waited, "Well Michael's test is a fight to the death with the person he is closest to!"

Elena's face sank at that moment and her breath caught, "It can't be can it?" She said in disbelief and turned her head slowly to Michael who was looking at her too, "I'm sorry Elena!" He said and moved his sword at towards her neck where was a broach that he himself gave.

At that moment something snapped inside Elena, she hadn't seen that future in her visions and the impact that came almost totally destroyed her, but her agile years training when her life was threatened when she pulled her scythe and deflected Michael's sword in tears.

"Why!" Elena yelled at Michael, "Why didn't you choose me?!!" She said even though she knew the answer in her heart she still wanted to hear it from Michael, "Because the clan is absolute, no matter how much I want to that you live or that we grow together we are all tools to be used in the clan, we were created for that and we will serve for that!" Michael lightly repeated the Lin kuei creed founded by William with some changes.

This time Elena didn't freeze, she understood that their fate was already set and it was impossible to change it for that time, so she fully unlocked her mutant power and was able to see the future a few seconds ahead constantly.

And that allowed her to kill Michael that day and leave her status from apprentice to clan assassin behind.
