Cosmic Ultimatum: Klaatu's Plea - The Day The Earth Stood Still Fan Poem

In galaxies vast and wide, Klaatu did confide,

A tale of the cosmos, where stars do collide.

"I leave you now, Earthlings," with clarity he began,

To convey a message, to the realm of man.

The universe, once endless, now draws itself near,

Threats and aggression, every world must fear.

Security is vital, for one and for all,

Or into the abyss, each planet might fall.

Freedom's not forsaken, but redefined here,

It's not freedom to hurt, or to govern by fear.

Your forebears knew this, laws they did craft,

To ensure that peace, in their world would last.

In distant realms, this truth we've embraced,

Where peace is the norm, and conflict erased.

For mutual protection, an alliance we've formed,

Against aggression, together we're armed.

The hallmark of order, our robotic brigade,

Patrols the vast heavens, where stars have been laid.

Guardians of peace, in vessels of might,

They stand against wrong, uphold what is right.

Absolute is their power, swift is their deed,

Against those who act, on violence and greed.

Their actions are automatic, their judgments are sure,

For those who provoke, consequences endure.

Basking in tranquility, weapons we shun,

Our focus on progress, under the same sun.

Wars are but memories, conflicts do cease,

In our cosmic haven, we cherish our peace.

Yet perfection's elusive, though we strive ever on,

In hope and in unity, 'til every threat's gone.

To you, Earth, this knowledge I bring,

The choice is now yours, peace or suffering.

If violence extends, and your actions ignite,

Your world will be ashes, lost in the night.

But reach out in friendship, hand in hand be,

Join us in harmony, vast as the sea.

Wait we shall, for your answer to hear,

Will it be love, or will it be fear?

Decide, oh Earth, in unity stand,

The future's unwritten, the next move's in your hand.
