Trouble brewing

Ms. Katherine gasped in shock. "What? You want us to return abroad? Mr. Yun, Kai had lived abroad all her life– ever since she was born. She just came back to the country five years ago and you want her to go back? Do you know how difficult living among racist foreigners was for us? Do you have any idea how we struggled to survive all those years?"

"I didn't say, you– I said, her…" he paused and sighed, then continued. "Listen, let her go to another country. Our alliance countries do not discriminate. They'll take her in!"

"Are you really saying this, Mr. Yun? Why do you think it's ok to send my daughter away?"

Mr. Yun was starting to get irritated by Ms. Katherine's tone of voice, so his voice also raised to meet hers. "Your daughter has been giving my family issues ever since she came back. Ryan and Kylie are being harassed by the media every time; people want to know if their foster sibling is a transgender or not! They want to know if she's gay!! Do you know how detrimental such questions are to them… to their academy?"

Ms. Katherine was stunned when she heard him call her son gay. How dare he!

The woman laughed in rage: "Hahaha, you blame your children's misfortune on Kai? Weren't they already losers before Kai returned?!"

"Katherine!"

"What? You don't want to hear it? Kylie is an evil witch who bullies people like she owns the world! She's wasteful, arrogant, selfish, and unreasonable! Ryan is a womanizer, a simp! You have hopeless children who will never be able to continue the Yun's legacy!! How dare you blame my child when your children are nothing good?!"

"Katherine!! I dare you to–"

"I thought you came here to apologize for what your worthless daughter almost did to Kai. But unfortunately, you're as blind and ignorant… No, not ignorant. You know what your children are capable of, yet turn a blind eye!"

"Katherine–"

"Get out! Leave my house!!!"

It was obvious that Ms. Katherine had lost her mind after he told her to send her son away. Staying in a racist country for twenty years, the woman had experienced, and also watched her son go through a lot. So, asking her to send him away was taboo!

The man gritted his teeth in utter embarrassment and shame. Not only did Katherine step on his pride, she humiliated and insulted his family.

"Katherine, I hope you don't regret this!" He stormed out after that.

The minute that the front door was forcefully shut, Katherine swayed and fell on her butts on the sofa and started weeping.

Kaizer stood there as he watched her cry her eyes out. Whatever was running through his mind was unknown.

"See what has happened? Your father is certainly going to stop caring about us now. How are you going to continue living after that? You have no certificate, you have no skills or knowledge for anything tangible. Kaizer, what am I going to do with you?" No matter how she lamented her bitterness, Kaizer didn't blink an eyelid.

'Vrmmm'

His phone vibrated in his pocket. Kaizer pulled it out and read the message before pocketing it again.

"I'm going out… Don't wait for me, I won't come home," he said.

Ms. Katherine quickly got up and wiped her tears. "Where are you going? It's late and you don't know anyone in the city. Kai– Kaizer, should I call Dicky to accompany you?" she was worried that he'd get bullied again, but didn't want to say it that way, afraid she might hurt his pride.

Kaizer glanced at her and nodded faintly. The woman smiled and quickly grabbed her phone and called her best friend to send her son over.

Dicky lives a few blocks apart, so it didn't take long before a handsome brown skin guy, wearing a black hooded jacket over a brown shorts, strolled into the house with a beam. His pink lips would make fifty percent of ladies want to kiss him. When his medium curly hair is added, or his honey gold eyes, then, the number of girls will skyrocket!

"Good evening Aunt, you look hot," his set of white teeth with a tiny gap at the middle framed his sexy lips.

He hugged Ms. Katherine and pecked her cheek.

"Naughty child," the woman smiled.

"Hehe," he chuckled and turned to Kaizer. "Lovely, you look sexy…" seeing the death glare he received, Dicky gave a brief burst of laughter, releasing the sadness in the air. "Aunt, goodnight," he followed after Kaizer as they left the room.

Inside the car, Dicky said, "Bro, the media is on fire. The First Miss of the Qin family ruined your father's party. Hahaha… Too bad I wasn't there to entertain myself," he sighed. Then continued.

"Where are we going? You never told me you'll be hosting a welcome party for me," he glanced at his friend.

"Dream on," Kaizer answered quietly.

"Hahahaha… I would have thought you were replaced if you said yes. So, where are we going?"

"To meet someone," he replied.

"Oh? My interest is piqued. I can't wait!"

At one of the most expensive looking restaurants for couples, Lisa and Ryan drew everyone's attention as they walked in. All the ladies were wearing classy gowns in an attempt to outshine another person's girlfriend, but here is Lisa going off theme, yet still managed to steal the ladies' confidence.

The people watched as the two walked to one of the empty tables. They wanted to gossip, after all, Lisa's matter is trending online, but none of them dared to say their thoughts out loud. Even though some headlines read that Mrs. Yun doesn't want Lisa as his daughter-in-law anymore, it seem Ryan still loves her, which means Mrs. Yun's declaration was not a finality yet.

"Is there a reason to not use the second floor or private room? This place is like a market." Lisa asked her fiance as they sat at the table.

The place was crowded, something that most wealthy ladies won't find very appealing– especially when they have something meaningful to talk about with their partner.

"Lisa, this place is filled with life and it's fun to be in the midst of people," he smiled at her.

She rolled her eyes. Ryan loves crowded places like this because it gives him the perfect ambiance to showcase his generational wealth and degrade people.

A waitress walked over, smiling from ear to ear as she handed a menu to Ryan. But for Lisa, the smile disappeared.

The two ordered what they wanted, while the 'audience' abandoned what they came for and made them the center of attention.

Lisa was very much feeling uncomfortable but had to beg her self control to relax, a thousand times.

Some time later, the waitress brought what they ordered. While serving Ryan, she would 'accidentally' make body contact with him and proclaim with an angelic voice, 'I'm sorry, Young Master Ryan', as though she was a singing bird.

Ryan was clearly in the mood to entertain the waitress but because of Lisa, he was subtle with his reaction. The waitress could clearly see Lisa watching her but she pretended as though she was clueless.
