Chapter four

Loretta couldn't help it but cry , her personal maid , Mary tried to console her but all was in vain , Loretta cried day and night , it was really hard for her .

That day , Mary tried her luck if she would make Loretta to stop all her crying all day.

"Mistress, you can't be killing yourself over a man who doesn't love you anymore " Mary said.

"Ofcourse Mary , I can I love Kelvin so much and I can't live without him " Loretta replied

" I understand mistress , okay what of Anabel your best friend , have tried to contact her if she can help you out" Mary asked .

" No Mary , you are a genius , thank you for reminding me about her oh God how could I have forgotten my own Best friend that always helps me , I need to go to her house , I'll be back" Loretta said and hurried to Anabels house .

On her way all she had in mind, was to apologise to Anabel, and explain everything to her , but when she got there things changed , when she saw Kelvin at Anabels house.

" Kelvin what are you doing here " Loretta asked .

"Oh like you haven't heard I'm engaged to Kelvin , soon we are getting married" Anabel said .

"What , is that true Kelvin tell me " Loretta asked .

"Yes retta , Anabel is right we are getting married soon , I had changed of mind I decided to be with Anabel not you " Kelvin said .

" Oh God Kelvin you said you wanted to see me happy is this what you call happiness , instead you've hurt me deep inside and you Anabel you have betrayed our friendship I knew it right from the day I saw you , you were jealous of us you are a bad friend" Loretta said in anger and storm out of the house .

Anabel bend her head in sorrow , while Kelvin consoled her .

"I don't mean to do this to her but she'll never understand that it's for own good I love retta so much that I can't even think of doing such a thing "Anabel said

" Me too Anabel I really love retta and always wish of getting married to her but her father is the big deal here , he's the one causing all this if I don't pretend to do this with you Loretta would be sent away to a place that they would hurt her badly and we don't want that to happen" Kelvin said

"It's a pity , to my Best friend Loretta Smith" Anabel concluded.

At home Loretta shed uncontrollable tears her mother Mrs Smith came to see her .

"My child , please stop all this crying Kelvin is now with Anabel there's nothing that can change it " Mrs Smith said

" Mother , I can't believe it it's all you and dad fault I don't know why I can't be able to leave my life the way I want it , because of this I will never get married to anyman except Kelvin " Loretta said and went out of the room

Loretta was mad at her parents that she confronted her father in his office

" Congratulations dad in your success of separating I and Kelvin , you are a genius dad" Loretta said

" Sweetie, it was for your own good , Kelvin is so useless he's not in politics , he doesn't own a company or neither is he a manager of a company , instead he's a poor wretched man looking for a rich girl to get married to and eat all her money" Mr Smith said

" Dad you hear yourself ,you want me to get married for money but I tell you that will never happen I will get married to Kelvin or no one else I will marry for love and not for money " Loretta said And storm out of the office.

"Then you give no choice retta than to send you to Kenya to suffer , till you change your mind or I deal with Kelvin mercilessly" Mr Smith said to himself .
