Vampire Pirate (2058 words)

Looking at the silver sphere floating in this realm of golden light I couldn't help but frown a little.

I was dead, that I had no problem understanding and accepting after all it was pretty impossible to survive an elevator crash that went through a total of twenty floors till it landed.

Well, the short instant in which I felt my bones breaking and organs turning to paste also helps the realization.

My live had been good, of course there were ups and downs in equal measures distributed through these twenty-seven years, but I can't bring myself to cling to it, I have always been a rather… uncaring person.

Anyways, back to the current situation of me standing in front of this obviously unnatural thing after my death.

After waiting for a while and nothing happening, I hesitantly decide to speak up.

"So, eh, God? Are you in the mood to give this little old me heads up to what's going on right now? Please?" I wasn't sure how to talk to whatever that thing was, but I think I did rather good.

Seconds tick by with still nothing happening when finally, the silver sphere showed mercy to my strained nerves.

An all-encompassing humming sound spread out form the sphere causing ripples in the golden light around us and put me into a daze.

When I snapped back from the daze my frown had deepened.

"So, what your saying is that you are a wish granting device in the search of a host with which you can bond?" I ask and another wave of incomprehensible sound that shock the very space in this realm spread out from the silver ball.

This time I get out of the daze almost immediately.

"Hmm, I accept this deal."

The words left my mouth almost on their own as I failed to control my overwhelming excitement.

With a last confirming hum, everything went white and my journey through the multiverse in a new life began.

POV; General

Laying on the hard wooden ground of an old shack in the woods at the back of an island called Albernet that is located in the East Blue of the Grand Line is a young girl around the age of eleven.

Having curled herself up into a ball with her long blond hair fanning out behind her while being clothed in nothing but a simple sleeveless white dress the girl simply laid there asleep, no, dead.

There was no heartbeat coming from her body nor did her chest move ever so slightly to indicate that she was breathing.

Where someone to touch her, they would abruptly pull back their hand from the icy cold skin of the little girl.

Despite all this the girl casually defies commonsense and sleepily blinks open her electric blue eyes while pushing herself into an upright position.

'Hm? Did it work?' The girl thinks while letting her eyes wander over the forsaken interior of the shack she awoke in.

"AH!" She suddenly gasps and covers her face with both hands as a headache ravaged her mind introducing memories of eleven years of live as a girl by the name of Abigail D. Astral.

Parents deceased at the age of seven after which she lived alone as a street kid on the island going around and stealing food till her young body ultimately could no longer hold on and she died form starvation in the hidden shack she called home.

Breathing heavily as the pain starts to disappear Abigail, the girl with blond hair that reached all the way to her lower back, slowly lowered her hands from her face.

"I died, my death triggered the silver sphere, and it returned all my memories of my previous live and kickstarted my journey by fulfilling one of my desires." Muttering to herself in a quiet voice while her blue eyes were wide from the shock of realization Abigail reorganized her mind.

She sat there on the wooden floorboards of the shack for a whole fifteen minutes before she finished.

Taking a calm and deep breath Abigail closes her eyes before breathing out again while opening her eyes.

Abigail D. Astral, the little girl who lived a happy life for seven years of her life and then another four horrible years as an outcast and homeless street rat, is gone.

In her stead is Abigail D. Astral, the reincarnator with a wish fulfilling device in her soul and the ambition to become a monstrous being that stands above all.

Previously innocent, even if form reality scarred, blue eyes now shine with a crazed and predatory light as the normally round pupil stretched into a narrow slit resembling the eyes of cat or reptile.

"hehehehehahahahaHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Starring at her small and soft hands with her intense gaze Abby starts off with a quiet giggle that slowly increased to a low laugh before she broke out into a manic fit of laughter.

She took a few minutes to calm down again and when she did, she starts to thoroughly inspect her new body.

As she had eleven years of memories living in this body there were no problems in controlling it.

Looking at her reflection in a big glass shard that had laid underneath one of the shattered windows of the shack Abigail narrows her eyes inquisitively.

'Hmm, not all to bad. My appearance does kinda remind me of a character form the fate series, if I remember correctly her name was too Abigail.

Anyway.' Throwing away the glass shard she closes her eyes and shifts her focus onto her insides.

'Let's take a closer look at what exactly I got from my first wish.' Diving deep into her own mind Abigail soon found herself in a black abyss.

The darkness moved like waves in sea as it seemingly stretched on forever.

Wide eyed Abigail stared at abyss and the abyss stared back with two crimson slit eyes that opened up in the black ocean.

'Don't tell me I got HIS abilities.' Still shocked at what exactly her first wish had granted her she stood there in the black abyss for a while.

When she managed to get a hold of herself Abigail had to suppress the urge to once again break out into a fit of mad laughter, after all it wasn't all day that one finds out that one just gained the powers and abilities of the greatest fu*k mothering vampire there is.

'Not even a day in and I already have a cheat that will allow me to reign supreme in this world.

But seriously, Alucard's powers are just bulsh*t op.' Abigail thought as she browses through the list of abilities that came with her first wish.

'Superhuman Strength, Superhuman Speed and Reflexes, Enhanced Endurance, Enhanced Durability, Regeneration, Sixth-sense, Intangibility, Eternal youth, Blood Control, Soul Absorption, Shapeshifting, Telepathy, Teleportation, Telekinesis, Daywalking, Weather Control, Hypnosis, Gravity Defiance.

Just whoa, that a fu*k ton to go through.'

Massaging her forehead from the sheer flood of information that explained her abilities and weaknesses, however few of the later there might be, Abigail decides to search for a more comfortable place in the shabby shack where she could sit down and seriously go over everything, she is now capable of.

Finding a from soft moss-covered spot in a corner she walks over and sits down while leaning against the wooden wall.

'So, time to dive in into all that sh*t that got thrown at me.' With that Abigail starts to analyze her memories.

'Hmm, super strength, speed and reflexes are easy to understand, but there is something interesting about them.

Their effect is akin to a +10 bonus to my base stats.

Lets say 10 is the peak possible strength or speed for a human, that means no matter how weak my body was before I became what I am now, I would reach or over step that limit, but the interesting thing about that is, I can still train my base stats which means I can grow even stronger, especially in this world I currently find myself in.

It wasn't hard to figure it out that I am in the one piece world, but that just means that most limiters concerning the body do not exist here.

Which means even with my strength, speed and reflexe boost I am far form the top and will have to continue to train in order to even compete with the top dogs lingering in this world.

Moving on, enhanced endurance and enhanced durability just means I can take a more of a beating till I get wounded and still move even when my body is terribly damaged.

Next, regeneration, well, as long as my head AND heart aren't BOTH destroyed, I will heal rapidly, the only exceptions are holy weaponry and a stake to the heart. The former will slow down my healing while the latter can send me into a coma.

All that of course only applies to me in my "true" form.

Going to the next one, sixth-sense or the third eye, it allows me to sense things my other five senses, even with +10 boni, aren't able to perceive.

It also allows me to see through illusions.

Intangibility, sadly this isn't like Obito's kamui from Naruto, it just allows me to phase through walls or the ground, but here comes something interesting.

My intangibility ability is connected a couple of other abilities, namely, teleportation, soul and blood absorption, shapeshifting, eternal youth and Daywalking.

The reason? Well, the moment I gained all of Alucard's powers I ceased to be a human being, hell, I am not even really vampire the normal sense.

Instead, I became something like a blob of darkness, shadows, blood and nightmares.

My old body got devoured and replaced by the bloody darkness which I have become, neat effect is that my new body is not really alive so age doesn't matter.

You could probably imagine me as some sort of slime, who changed its shape to look like a human only that instead of physical matter, the slime is made up of more… unnatural stuff.

Anyways, the reason why this is important is that both my intangibility and teleportation ability come from the fact that I give up my physical form and return to my true form as living darkness.

This allows me to phase through physical objects or even directly jump between already existing darkness achieving teleportation.

Good, this covers intangibility and teleportation, next is soul and blood absorption which is pretty easy, because of my nature as amorphous darkness I can eat/absorb blood and souls, who are bound to the blood, through any surface of my body and digest or store it there.

Lastly, shapeshifting and daywalking, shapeshifting is me simply altering my physical projection while the fact that I can walk under the sun come from the fact that my "true" form is protected by the physical projection, the maintaining of the projection will be a lot more taxing but it effectively keeps myself form burning to death and disappearing in the wind as a cloud of ash.

Damn, even after all that stuff I still got quite a few abilities left.

Well, time to move on.

Blood control, it sounds awesome but sadly this power only allows me to move ownerless blood around, while it does not allow me to weaponize blood except if there are literal tons of it… for now.

It does simplify the collection of blood and souls for me greatly though.

Telepathy, it only works with beings turned by my own blood, but on the bright side it doesn't have a range limit.

Telekinesis, nothing like the guy's form Marvel of Mob, I can move objects, not lift them…yet.

Weather control, also not as awesome or overpowered as it sounds, I can release part of my true form to lower temperatures or create mist, nothing more… as of yet.

Hypnosis, standard vampire trick, works on most people, not all, especially in this world.

Lasty, gravity defiance, its less defying gravity then being able to manipulate my own weight and sticking to surfaces allowing me to stand on thin branches without them snapping or walk up vertical surfaces.

Holysh*t that was a lot.' Rubbing releasing a long sigh of exhaustion Abigail
