Living lightning (271 words)

Everything is just so slow and weak, nothing but the light of the sun can keep up with me, but even the light can't compare to my might which splits the earth, lightens up the sky and evaporates the oceans.

"I am power!

I am speed!!

I am the pinnacle of existence!!!" I scream into the world in the form of deafening thunderclaps.

All life cowers at my mighty voice not daring to raise their little, weak, inferior heads to meet my piercing gaze which wanders over the land, sea and sky.

Then, suddenly and completely without any warning, another voice spoke.

"A little spark like yourself proclaims to stand at the very top. Don't make me laugh kid, you haven't even left your home world yet." The foreign voice was deep and rumbling with weight.

The words spoken by the newcomer cut deep and I feel how my entire being boils with rage.

This nobody who hasn't even shown his face dares to mock me.

An unimaginable tension starts to build up inside of me as I narrow my senses in order to find whoever spoke such blasphemies.

"There you are." I say as my senses finally traced down the being which dared to speak to me in such a way.

Without taking a closer look at the foreign being I release all the build up tension in my body in the form of an enormous lightning strike.

A pure golden crack seems to split the sky as it instantaneously arrives at its target, piercing through it and unloading a godly amount of electricity into the very core of it.
