Harry potter witch in fantasy (2214 words)

In a rather small wooden house in the middle of a forest is a girl around 17 years old currently cleaning the house and preparing it so that it will remain in a presentable state even after being uninhabited for a long time.

She has wild platinum blond hair bound into a high ponytail and mesmerizing green eyes.

Her name is Emily Grindelwald a once normal villager girl whose life changed drastically after a strange phenomenon happened when she was three, in this phenomenon the soul of a person from another world fused together with the original Emily resulting in a great change of her personality.

In the fusion, Emily's and the otherworldly soul's memories also fused together giving the three-year-old knowledge that far surpasses her age and maybe even the world she lives in.

A year after the fusion an old witch passed through the village selling medicine and generally help the villagers in exchange for food and a roof over the head and a bit of money.

The witch took great interest in Emily and told her parents that she is capable of becoming a great witch if trained properly.

She offered to take her as her apprentice and teach her the everything a witch needs to know.

After a while thinking about it and Emily's constant pleading, they accepted the witches offer and Emily prepared her few things to follow the witch to her home.

They traveled for a week till they reached the small wooden house in the middle of a forest.

From then on for the next ten years the witch which goes by the name of Bellatrice Thorns taught Emily the many different abilities and techniques of a witch.

Starting with learning about the many different plants and materials needed to make medicine and potions.

Every full moon Beatrice would bring Emily to a natural stone circle on an open clearing in the forest where they then meditate and perform ritualistic dances.

According to Bellatrice this was to attune Emily's body and mind to magic early on in order to make it easier for her when she ultimately awakens her own magic power.

The years pass and Emily mastered one lesson after the other, be it botanica, biology, medicine, potions, astrology, talisman crafting, runes, ancient languages or magical creatures.

She pretty much mastered everything she could without having access to her own magic power which greatly impressed her teacher.

Then finally came the day Emily waited for so long.

The day she turned eleven.

A seemingly endless amount of formless energy exploded from each and every part of her body and filled her entirely, from head to toe, not even her hair was spared as each and every single one of them got filled to the brim with magic.

This is exactly why witches are different form mages, mages possess a magical core which matures with age and training, through spells, wands and artifacts they are able to draw power form this core and perform magic.

Witches on the other hand accumulate a great amount of magic power in each and every cell of their body till it bursts forth at the age of eleven.

Because their entire body is filled with magic witches don't need wands or complicated spells to perform magic.

They have a cheat like affinity for anything involving magic, the spells of witches, commonly referred as witchcraft, are mostly accomplished through strong intent and determination.

Magic is everywhere, but it is so thine that mages are unable to efficiently use it, but for witches who are almost part of magic itself it is an easy feat to use the magic of the world around them to perform many strange and wonderous feats.

Sadly, the constitution needed to become a witch is so rare that most likely there won't be ever enough witches in the world to found their own kingdom.

With her magic finally awakened Emily could now start her education about witchcraft, and enchanting.

It sounds a bit lack luster if compared to the number of different things she has already learned, but the witchcraft category entails everything from spells to rituals that can invoke flames, create storms, curse people or places, make the land fertile or change one's form into that of an animal.

As for enchanting, it is the art of binding spells or rituals to objects in a way that they can be used more easily.

Emily threw herself into studying with great excitement and downright devours all the knowledge her teacher offered to her.

Within a short three years Emily learned all the basics of witchcraft and enchanting.

Her teacher Bellatrice declared her to be ready to start her own research in the realm of magic.

It is a tradition for the witches to only teach the basics about magic and its many branches to their apprentices in order to equip the new witches with everything they need to delve into the realm of magic on their own and discover its many uses and possibilities by experimenting and interacting with it.

Her teacher then left the small wooden house in the middle of the forest in order to once again wander the lands and help some villages.

Emily was given the choice to remain in the house and further her knowledge about magic or go out into the wide world and accumulate more practical experience.

After a moment of thinking about the pros and cons Emily decided to stay because she got tones of ideas for spells and magic artifacts that she wants to create before she left for the great and dangerous world outside of the forest.

Three more years pass in which Emily remained alone in the small wooden house, she invented lots of new spells and enchanted many things which she plans on taking along on her travels.

The now 17-year-old Emily stands in front of the small wooden house which she prepared for her imminent departure.

Clothed in a white blouse underneath a grey wool pullover with a silver and green colored tie around her neck, a grey skirt that reaches just below her knees and black stockings and lastly a pair of combat boots for her feet, Emily puts on a black robe which is of the same green color on the inside as her tie.

'Well, I had a nice time here, but I gotta leave eventually, right? Need to field test my spells after all.' A grin appears on Emily's face as she pulls out a piece of cloth shaped in a circle.

She throws the clothe into the air and snaps her fingers.

With an audible "Puff!" sound the cloth turns into a big, pointy witch hat with a floppy rim that slowly floats down perfectly landing on Emily's head.

"Damn is it nice to do things with style!" She grins and waves her index finger around; a luminous trail follows the finger closely.

The big trunk that stood next to Emily floats up before shrinking to the size of a matchbox and enters one of the many small pockets on the inner side of her robe.

A swishing sound could be heard as a broom zooms out from somewhere in the forest and comes to a stop in front of Emily at the height of her waist.

The broomstick is made from a dark brown wood and carved in a way that is specialized to make sitting on it more comfortably, the hairs of the broom are of an almost black color, a green thread is binding the hairs to the stick, it is of the same color as the tie and the inner side of the robe Emily wears.

"Time to depart, it is already noon, so I got around half a day before nighttime hits." Sitting down sideways on the broom Emily gently takes off into the sky leaving the small wooden house behind.

Once at an adequate height her broom drastically accelerates and shoots off into the distance, but even while moving at such high-speed Emily only feels a light breeze hit her body.

'Hmm, looks like all the enchantments are working flawlessly, it would have been a bother if the full force of the wind had hit me in the face.' With a small smile on her lips Emily flies over the forest in which she spent the last 13 years of her life.

The green leave roof passes by under her and she gazes into the far distance.

After a while flying in one direction Emily coincidently came across a road.

'I probably should follow this road till I arrive in a village or city, even with all her wisdom my teacher completely forgot to teach me about the world outside of magic. Hell, I don't even know in which kingdom I'm currently am.' Taking out fresh apple from one of the many pockets of her robe she heartly took a bite from it.

'It really was good idea to research all those convenient spells, it makes preserving food and sustaining my personal comfort so much better.' Flying for a while longer along the road something interesting caught Emily's attention.

A carriage standing in the middle of the road surrounded by a couple of people holding weapons.

'A robbery? Isn't this a bit to coincidentally for it to happen right now?' Emily watches how the robbers approach the carriage on which on single man tries to defend his precious cargo.

Taking another bit from her apple Emily contemplates if she should do something to help or just watch and then move on.

'I probably should help out it would also nicely double as a training opportunity or in other words, free lab rats to test out my spells.' With a vicious smile on her face Emily reaches into her right sleeve and pulls out a wand around 40cm long made from birch wood.

'So, how should I do this? Rapid fire? Destruction? Precision? Or random testing?' Humming a light tune Emily commands her broom to descend closer to the ground.

'If I count them out like this there really isn't much of a choice is there.' Pointing her birch wood wand at one of the robbers she performs a light twirl and twist with her wrist.

The robber at which she pointed suddenly holds his belly in pain for a moment before he starts vomiting slugs.

This attracts everyone's attention, but it didn't take long till another one collapses and starts to roll around because of an unbearable itch all over his body.

Finally, one of the robbers looked up and notices Emily sitting on her broom and the wildly dancing wand in her hand.

"IT'S A WITCH!!" He screams before his legs got swept away and pulled upwards hanging him upside down in the air.

Now alert all the other bandits also turn up to Emily who just continues to smile and wave her wand around.

One of the bandits has a bow and tries to shoot at the flying Emily.

The arrow flies through the air and heads straight for Emily's chest.

The already big smile on her face escalates into a creepy grin as she silently observes how thine silver runes stitched into the green inner side of her robe start to activate.

'Time to test out my automatic defense enchantments.' Her mesmerizing green eyes which are loaded with dozens of amplification spells follow the arrow as he comes closer and closer to hitting her.

The world moves in slow-motion for Emily as the automatic spell-matrix which she stitched into her robe has a function which activates multiple perception enhancing spells once it senses something dangerous aimed at its wearer.

With her perception boosted, Emily got a lot of time to decide how to deal with the incoming danger.

'Let's go with the standard setting for now, it may be a bit over the top but better test it now than when it is serious.' Closing her eyes Emily lets the runes on her robe do the job.

Once the arrow reached a perimeter of twenty centimeters it got stopped by a neon green shield mad up from multiple hexagons that encompasses Emily's whole body and even the broom on which she is currently sitting.

A light, nearly unnoticeable ripple spreads out from the point where the arrowhead connected with the hexagonal shield.

The ripple then disappears, and the arrow gets reduced to dust, but it wasn't over.

From the hexagon which the arrow hit a neon green lightning zaps out accurately targeting the stunned archer who shot the arrow.

From the moment the arrow hit the green shield to the point where the archer got hit by the green lightning not even a tenth of second passed.

Without a sound the archer collapses dead right after the green lighting hit him.

'Using "Avada Kedavra" as a counter spell is a bit extreme, but the standard setting is there for times where I'm unable to react in time even with enhanced perception, which means that my enemy is plenty powerful. With such an enemy it is better to not play around.' Looking at the silent and still corpse of the bandit Emily surprisingly didn't feel any remorse at all for killing him.
