Waking up Murphy out of his research is a snake-like hiss ringing past his door, through the hallway

" Eep! What was that?" Hearing this also, Marin jumped off of the bed and out of her sleep on Murphy, hugging him.

" A snake, I guess? That's what It sounds like."

" Snakes? Why snakes of all things?" With fear building In her eyes, she whined sitting on his lap.

' If I'm getting paid, then is there a reason to deny this offer?' He asked himself glancing at the system's nonfiction.

' Accept.'

[[*Ding!* Master has Accepted the Quest! Rewards will be given when Quest is complete.]]

" Do you like Lizards?" Murphy asked, looking at the shaking Marin on his lap.

" No... Why?" Confused, Marin inquired.

" Because those on the things hissing."

" Eep! Kill them!" Knowing where this going, she cried out to Murphy.

" And you say you're mature..."

" I'm mature when fantasy monsters are not breaking Into my room! It's a difference! A big one!"

" Yeah, yeah." Helping Marin off his lap, and around his neck, he sat her down on his bed.

" Stay here. By no means, do not leave this room, unless you hear me and see me through the peephole." He ordered with warmth and care, looking Into her eyes.

"...Password?"

" Hm?"

" A password! We need one. What happens If there are shapeshifting and voice-changing monsters out there!" Marin said, attempting to be smart.

" Agápe, Green-Green-420"

" Agápe?"

" Mhm, It means universal love In Greek." He assisted her with the word.

" Okay. Say this, when you come back." Nodding and liking the word, Marin said, smiling slightly.

" But, don't you dare die on me! Because If you do, then I will kill myself! Promise me!" She ordered, staring Into his dark blue eyes.

" I promise." Kissing her forehead, causing Marin to blush slightly, Murphy smiled and walked to the door.

" A 12 gauge shotgun and a Beretta 92 is under the bed If you need It." Unlocking his door, Murphy explained.

" Copy that!" America saluting him, Marin said nodded rapidly.

"...Then see you soon."

*Click!*

Walking out the door, he closed it and locked It.

Knowing that's not enough, he ordered to the world," Barricade." as metal layers appeared all over his door and around It.

" Spikes." Still, not enough, he added, as black demonic spikes emerged from the wall and floor around his door.

' Need More.'-" Demonic Quicksand." Following his order, black gargling sand arose around his door, devouring anything that comes too close to his home.

" Better." Feeling this is good enough, he smiled and turned around to hissing sounds.

' This is not my hallway.' He hummed, seeing the long seemingly endless hallway. The hall was straight with windows on each side, matter of fact there were no walls at all just windows and darkness.

' Was this the system's doing?' He asked himself as he stepped forward. He took a step out from where he was and a sudden chill swept through his bones. He could see his own breath, every exhale sent forth a small cloud. He knew it was cold but he did not know it was this cold.

*Sssss-Splash*

Hearing hissing sounds and splashes, from the window, Murphy frowned.

" Samehada." Calling out the name of the sentient sword, It appeared In his right hand, effortlessly out of thin air.

Samehada is a large sword, roughly as tall as a full-grown man, wrapped in white bandages, laying over Murphy's right shoulder. Samehada's construction is atypical in that its actual blade is comprised from a series of downward-facing scales running along the entirety of its length until its hilt, at the base of which is a small skull. Furthermore, Samehada grows larger in proportion to the amount of chakra it absorbs, causing its scales to become so long that they ultimately resemble shark fins and its mouth, located at the tip of the blade, to become even more pronounced with visible teeth.

{" Hunger... Hunger...Hunger..."} Roaring In Murphy's mind is a low bloodthirsty gender-less voice, echoing through his mind.

' That makes both of us Samehada.'

{" Lizard...? Lizard...? Lizard...?"}

' Where?'

{"... Down..."} The sword answered, softly.

" Thanks~"

" Skateboard." Willing In a decked-out black anime Skateboard, Murphy started riding through this seemly endless hallway, easily.

Kicking open the door while riding, he performed an FS Nosegrind, down the rail, to the next level, and shot himself through the door, also kicking It open.

Right when the door fully opened Itself, Murphy's eyes widened while In slow motion, as everything slowed down around him.

A few ten feet away from him is a dark green reptilian humanoid, with misty bright yellow eyes. Its skin was covered in dark green scales. It stands at seven feet and looks to be weighed between 200 and 250 pounds. Swinging about behind this Lizard is a  non-prehensile muscular tail that looks to be four feet in length. It is armed with sharp claws and teeth. It wears light brown medieval armor, holding what looks to be a long sword made out is bones, that is sharp at the end.

" Ah?!"

As time resumed, the Lizard-man yelled In fright seeing a strong-looking human riding an oddly shaped wooden board, gripping a large strange smelly sword.

" Sorry about this~ But my friend here is hungry~" Taking the white bandages off Samehada, the sword roared In happiness being free.

*Roar!!!*

Not losing any time, the sword swallowed the Lizard-man whole, dripping blood over all the floor.

[[*Ping!* 1/10 Enemies killed!]]

[―――Level 1(200/1,000)―――]

" Heh...Heh, Samehada kills count as my own. This is going to be so fun~" Matching Samehada's crazy hungry eyes, they both glowed In battle-lust.

' RUN!!!' Was the Lizardfolk's thoughts seeing one of their own get eaten whole In a split second.

Clansmen or not, their lives matter the most!

With this thought, all the remaining Lizardfolk started hauling ass to the bottom floor, with their tails between their legs, literally.

"{" Hehe, a game of catch of mouse, our favorite~!"}" With shark-like teeth, Murphy kicked off the ground, launching himself on the skateboard to the next floor.
