The Annestic Continent (Part 3)

There were countless demon beasts on the perimeter.

This was part of the Second World, and the major kings of the demons all lived here. After killing them all, he'd probably go on adventures, but that would take a while.

Regardless, he heard a few of the demons rattling and held out his hand.

[Ding! <Freezing mode> has been activated]

Lie Wei Ying walked out towards the frozen demons which were all at the foundation stage. He was already in the golden core stage of power and tried to level up as slowly as possible in lieu of destroying the entire universe.

The ability to freeze was something this system came with as did crafting.

Even so, one of his worst personality traits was the things he did to create a challenge for himself. He shoved all the monsters together and activated crafting. Eventually, a gigantic monster was birthed in front of him and he nodded his head.

This monster was now at the golden core stage rank 8, and he was a few stages higher than Lie Wei Ying.

Regardless, at the next moment, Lie Wei Ying's hair turned yellow and his eyes turned blue. He shot forward after activating <acceleration mode> and <Super Saiyan mode>. This was one of his favorite subsystems, but it was nothing compared to the full power of the overpowered system.

"Whoosh!"

Like a glowing yellow missile in the white-marble dessert, the dessert spun up sand and Lie Wei Ying appeared with an energy burning in his hands.

The sun was above him like a diamond in the earth-shattering tundra that was the Endless Wastelands. His Qi, the primordial force for cultivators, spun around him like a yellow fire and out hands came an energy blast.

"Boom!"

The monster, now awakened, replied with a supersonic whistle as its disgustingly hideous form bleached the sun from shining though.

It was hundreds of feet tall and was up against the much smaller Lie Wei Ying.

As the two forces clashed, hurricanes spun up and rattled the giants who were currently eating the demon lords of the gigantic beast.

"You… you're very strong," The demon said as it swung its cudgel, "But you are also extremely foolish! Why would you create a beast, you weird boy!"

Lie Wei Ying had no good answer but was not in any danger. In fact, this beast had no idea what his system was capable of. For instance, if he so wished, he could level up <Super Saiyan Mode> to level two, and Acceleration mode could increase the ability of him leveling up his skills, so he could learn other moves faster.

"Ha… you should just be quiet and take this!"

Lie Wei Ying held his hands together and spun a few hundreds of times in the sky. Hundreds of shuriken flew towards him out of the monster's mouth yet he looked like a moving metronome seeming slow but actually moving incredibly fast.

"HAAAAA!"

A light blue light that looked like a dazzling pillar burst into the hand of the monster sending him flying back in the air.

It was time like these that Lie Wei Ying enjoyed being overpowered, and his yellow hair fell back to the black curls on his shoulders. With it, his power rating dropped to a little over 3,000,000 from 300,000,000 but the monster was already spewing its guts for the running giants.

A few weeks went by quickly.

Lie Wei Ying was back on the road traveling with Yu Yan.

They were heading towards Salvania in Annesis, which was roughly 80,000 miles away. This was a city in the first world, and his mission was to slaughter the demons there, and reclaim the throne.

It was quite a fast journey for him, and although he was impatient he finally got Yu Yan to play a game with him.

Her amber eyes were shining brightly as she placed down a chip on the board.

"Hmph, I bet you I will win… If I do, you have to tell me the truth, do you like me?"

Lie Wei Ying laughed and doubled her wager. He had some of the worst cards he'd ever seen, but in poker you didn't back down.

His stone face was like a lion's statue, and his eyes only glancing at the gumdrop eyes on Yu Yan. "Uhm, well, I'll double your wager… If I win, you tell me if you have a system or not."

Yu Yan sighed… She only had a three of a kind, which put her odds of winning at 67%. She wasn't too thrilled about it after seeing Lie Wei Ying's face. It was almost as if she was being scammed, and telling him that she indeed had a system would be a waste of time.

"Uhm, you know what Lie Wei Ying… Wouldn't it be better if you asked if I liked you?"

Lie Wei Ying shook his head and drew another card. Interestingly, luck was on his side, and he completed a full house!

He smiled on purpose causing Yu Yan's stomach to turn.

"Fine, you win! I like you," She daringly screamed.

Lie Wei Ying was taken aback, though, as he saw her cards. She would've won with a four of a kind…
