Chapter 2 - Jason

By the time they got to school, the bell had already rang. Everyone was pushing each other to get to their locker. Jason said goodbye to Hunter and went to the sixth grade area. He found his locker and looked at the people next to him. One was a girl about his height with light blond hair and strikingly beautiful blue eyes. On the other side of him, was a boy who was a bit shorter and than Jason with dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Jason put in his locker combination and looked inside. He had already put in the supplies a few days earlier. Jason looked at his schedule. He had Health first hour, so he left his locker to find the Health classroom. When he found it, he was greeted by a tall, athletic man with brown hair and brown eyes, who he assumed was the teacher. Jason looked around the class. At one table, was a group of guys chatting, and at another was three people sitting there, not saying anything. Jason sat down at an empty table and studied his schedule.

"Hey," a voice said, startling him. Jason looked up. It was the blond girl whose locker was right next to his. "Can I sit here?"

"Sure," Jason said, moving his binder. She sat down right next to him. He studied her more closely. She had blond hair, blue eyes, a nice posture, and she was about one inch shorter than Jason. The girl was beautiful in every way. Another boy came in. He was shorter than both of them and had black hair and brown eyes that were so dark, anyone could mistake them for black. The boy sat right down across from Jason and the girl.

"Hello everyone!" the teacher said in a friendly tone. "My name is Mr. Park and I will be your Health teacher and probably your P.E teacher as well. Now, let's start by introducing ourselves in our tables." The teacher walked over to his desk and set a timer for on minute. It was the pretty girl sitting next to him that talked first.

"Hello," she began. "My name is Alana." She turned toward Jason. He managed to find his voice and spoke up.

"Hi, my name is Jason," he said. Both him and Alana turned to the boy sitting across from them. He looked nervous but he decided to talk.

"Uh," he said. "My name is Ethan." They sat in silence for a while. Finally, the ringing of the alarm turned their attention to the teacher.

"Okay!" Me. Park said. "I hope you all had very interesting conversations! Today will not be much of a learning day, just for me to know you a little better. I will give you each a notecard and you will write your name and your biggest dream on here. You have two minutes!" The students turned back towards their tables and waited for a notecard.

When the notecards came, Jason wrote his name on it first. What should he do for his wish? He finally decided and wrote down 'going to the states'. Jason looked up. Alana and Ethan were still scribbling down in their notecards. When everyone was done, the teacher collected the notecards and went over the syllabus. He must have taken really long, because the bell rang right when he finished. Jason packed up his stuff, said a shy goodbye to Alana and Ethan, and left the classroom.
