The Acceptance

Laya kept staring at the stream of light wishing strongly that Praveen was riding the 2 wheeler. She kept gaping just wishing to see Praveen's face looking back at her.As the light was switched off Laya realized that the nightmare was still on . It was not Praveen .

Satya stepped out of the 2 wheeler looking very worried & concerned.As soon as Laya saw Satya she simply jumped from the bench she was sitting on and hugged her tight . She started weeping uncontrollably. Satya let her cry her heart out . She then bought a cup of tea from the nearby tea stall ,which was still open. Both of them sat down on the bench and sipped on their tea quietly.

After a few sips Satya said "cant believe that Praveen would do something like this . He was head over heels in love with you . Why would he wipe you like this ?" Laya I really think that you should call home and let them know that you are fine and you will be home tomorrow morning "

laya stares at her phone as it rings relentlessly . It was her mother . Amma has been calling every half an hour . Her phone was about to die . She missed her family and could not stop thinking about Praveen . What happened to him ?? Did he meet with an accident

Laya knew that she was wrong to expect Praveen to come to this town anymore. She accepted that Praveen is not coming anymore. She still did not want to accept that Praveen might have deceived her . The thought overtook her mind but she ignored it. He was so much in love with her ... that cannot be a meaningless act . Why would he do that to her ...she was lost in her thoughts when suddenly she felt a light tap on her shoulder . It was Satya .

Laya looked up at Satya and said "I am not going home . How am I going to look at their faces ? I have disgraced my family . History is repeating itself ... please do not ask me to call or go home ... please Satya "

Satya knew that Laya was wrong but she seemed to be very adamant about not going home .

Praveen was lost at work today . He could not stop thinking of the plight of Laya's family . At last he did take his revenge. He was happy but not as happy as he has thought he would be . He had been waiting for this day for years ..but when it is here staring at him he was not able to enjoy as much... maybe revenge does not taste as sweet as he had anticipated..

Samir observed that Praveen looked disturbed.He did not want to bother him . He decided to wait till the end of the day and then check on him .

Samir and Praveen have been inseparable from childhood . Samir knew everything about Praveen . They shared all the secrets with each other .

Samir was shocked when he came to know that Praveen and laya were dating . He was very hurt when he came to know about it from a 3rd person . Samir could not believe that his best friend refuses to share this new phase of his life with him . Laya was friends with Samir and Praveen . Samir knew that she liked Praveen but never knew that Praveen reciprocated the same .

Samir could never understand why he wasn't open to him about his special relation with laya

Today since Praveen was very quiet Samir could smell that laya was the reason for his sulking . Hence Samir decided to keep mum and not poke Praveen with questions
