chapter 6

Above Christophsis

Onboard the UNSC ships thousands of helljumpers were getting ready to drop to the surface as a quick response to the republic ground forces before they could get prepared. Many of them knew they may not make it back as they took their last moments of peace before heading to their drop pods.

"Troopers we are green and very, very mean!" A helljumper shouts to his troopers.

"Let's show them what the Terran republic is made of." He says as they are set to go.

"I don't know about you guys, but I'm feeling a little excited." One of them says holding the controls of his pod loosely like a toy.

Seconds later thousands of drop pods are released from there ship as they free fall to the surface. If you were able to see this from the surface it would look like many tiny astroids were going to hit the planet.

"Hahahah! This is what I've been waiting for." One of them shouts with excitement in his voice.

"I'll never understand you and your thirst for battle. Hell some of us may have even mistaken you for a Spartan like that crazy one." Someone says over the comms.

"Hey focus. We need control of the outer city before going through the inner part before the rest of our boys get here. Our objective is too take out any of there defensive weapons located in the city. So get your head in the game." Their commanding officer says.

As they break through the clouds the city below them can be seen as they adjust their course towards it.

"So this is what a city looks like in Christophsis. A lot more spaced out then I thought it would." One of them says.

"Incoming fire!" One of them shouts as streaks of green and blue blaster fire is lit up at them, some of them making their mark as a few drop pods were destroyed in those few seconds.

"Unprepared my ass! They have all their guns pointed right at us." A helljumper shouts in anger.

"Save your babbling when you make it to the ground." The commander says.

The intensity of the fire from the clones is too much for some of them as they will never make it too the ground in one piece.

"Brace for impact!" The commander yells as they near the ground and the parachute on the pod deploys to soften the landing.

As they land and the door opens a rain of blaster fire and pods landing can be seen as it looked like something straight from a movie.

"Regroup to my position troopers. We have a city to take." The commander says.

Some of them that make it to the ground are meet with blaster fire immediately after they exit their pod causing them their life as they didn't stand a chance and those that do make it become under heavy fire.

Clones can be seen scattered around the outer part of the city as chaos ensues because of their multiple landings in different areas.

"Eat lead republic dogs." A helljumper says as he takes down multiple clones behind defensive positions putting holes in their armor as he hopes out his pod.

They slowly start to gain ground as the helljumpers regroup and those lost from their group joins another near them.

"They may as well be wearing nothing. Their armor ain't doing nothing against our weapons." A soldier says.

"Well they were made for blasters instead of bullets." Another says to him.

"Come on we have to regroup with the rest of our squad before they over run us." One says as they all start to move.

As they make it towards the inner part of the city a huge amount of clones come out of cover behind a defensive line. Although the clones hold them up by their numbers alone the helljumpers hold their ground.

"Requesting fire support on hostiles ahead of us. They are packed like sardines over here and have us pinned down." The commander says.

Across from the battle on top of a building multiple Terran soldiers back be seen scouting the area and assisting anyone with snipers and rocket launchers.

"You see those line of hostiles giving our brothers a hard time down there." One of them says.

"Yes sir." A few of them say aiming their guns at them.

"I want you teach them a lesson about spacing." He says.

"Glady sir." They say as they take their time to line up the shot.

"Poor bastards." One whispers before they all fire destroying the line of clones creating an opening for the helljumpers below.

"Come on troopers we have to take out their defensive weapons before our boys get here." Says the commander as they charge towards their defensive weapons.

They fire at the remaining clones who was still alive as they became shell shocked from the explosion earning the easy kills as they are on the ground.

As they push through the city a few clone tanks can be seen moving towards them as it fires it's main gun at them and the others around them.

"Rocket launchers!" Some of them yells three men with launchers step up before kneeling down taking aim.

The three of the fire, lighting up the tank in a explosion before falling down as clones near it was caught in the blast as well.

When they make it towards the weapons a voice is blast on their comms.

"Attention the rest of our forces will make landfall in 15 minutes. I say again the remaining forces will make landfall in 15 minutes." Someone on the comms said.

This was heard by all helljumpers as they rushed to complete their objectives and those that did helped secure the area for their arrival.

"You heard him boys let's get the job done." The commander said.

As they made it to their weapon's they started planting charges as the time went by quickly. When they finished they left the area to keep a safe distance from the explosion.

"Press the trigger now." The commander said when they were at a safe distance.

"Time to light up the fire works." The person with the trigger said as the entire area they set with charges exploded causing a shockwave as the buildings around it fell down.

As they are about to start moving again the sound of pelicans can be heard in the sky as they descend in the area. They drop down men, supplies, weapons, and vehicles as they touch down as the city they took quickly becomes a base of operations in their path to control the capital.

"Good work men. We've taken some ground from them and our battle has just begun." Their commander says as they walk towards the pelicans landing.

As the Terran republic plan for their next attack the galactic republic plans to retake the planet as they knew the clones left to defend the planet wouldn't hold on for long.

Jedi council

Inside of the Jedi council the Jedi masters can be seen debating on who to bring to the planet and break their blockade. Many of them decide that the two Jedi who originally broke the blockade months ago should go again as they would know more about battling in and around the planet.

As the holograms of the two Jedi appear they tell them of their task.

"We have news that the Terran republic has made their move on Christophsis and has taken part of the planet under their control." Mace windu says to the both of them.

"We have decided that the both of you will retake the planet again." He says.

Anakin can be seen surprised by these sudden events as they would have to go to this planet all over again.

"How is this possible? Christophsis had one of the top defense fleets after we left the planet." Kenobi says.

"Yes they did, but the Terran republic destroyed more than half of the fleet and the admiral of the fleet is presumed dead." Mace windu says.

"Because of this turn of events the republic has given the both of you additional ships to help retake the planet." He says.

"We'll send the recordings of the battle to you so you can learn their capability." He tells them.

"You have to retake the planet at all cost and may the force be with you." He says before cutting the transmission.

With Anakin, Ashoka, and obi-wan

"So we have to take this planet all over again." Ashoka says to her master.

"Yes and now wey right back at square one." Anakin says annoyed by this.

"Well I guess I'm going to have to save you all over again like last time. " Ashoka says trying to lighten the mood.

"That won't happen again. I'll have everything under control." Anakin says back.

"Like the other times you said you had it under control." Ashoka says raising a brow.

As the two become in a heated debate Obi-wan just stares at the recordings they were sent lost in thought. How are they supposed to defeat a navy with this kind fire power. The thing that really had him thinking was the big ship that most of the Terrans ships were around not mention other ships coming out of it.

"Mas...master!" Anakin shouts to Obi-wan as he finally got his attention.

"You alright." He says worried about him.

Obi-wan then regains his train of thought as he looks at Anakin and Ashoka looking at him worried.

"Yes I'm alright. I'm just thinking about how we will break through the Terran navy." He says in thought.

"Don't worry master. We'll have retake Christophsis just like we did last time." Anakin says putting a hand on his shoulder seeming confident.

"That's what I'm worried about." Obi-wan whispers to himself.

"Our old tactics may not work on an enemy like this." He says to himself as the fleet they were going with joined them as more was still coming.
