Chapter 4- Technical support

I talked to Selina about my skills and needless to say she was impressed. I mean I am only 4 years old and even if this is my second life my entire mentality is a confusing mix of young and super young.

She gave me a test to hack a rich collectors house in the outskirts of Gotham.

She took me to a cyber cafe near the outskirts and sat down with me check how I was doing. The reason we came here is that in the case of me failing we would be counterattacked and would likely be located through the attack.

I started and quickly slipped through the firewalls and took control over the security system. It was laughably easy for how tense I was. I took control of the security and removed as many of my traces as possible and then left while leaving a backdoor.

I looked up to see Selina's surprised and happy face as she looked at me with pride which made me quite happy. I realized then that I really had come to look at her as a mother figure.

After I showed off to her she then decided to let me join her heists as the 'guy in the chair'.

And so our first target was decided to be a rich second generation delinquent whose parents have all but given up on him to do anything productive in life. He is given all that he could ask for and more. In his house his parents have collected and kept quite a few precious gems. The one Selina or rather we wanted to steal was a 15 carot diamond along with 10,000$ of cash all kept in the house' safe.

I have seen a picture of the naturally formed piece of art and it was stunning. The main goal was the diamond but the black money would be a good bonus.

We found the diamond due to its recent transportation to be kept in the rich second generations house. And the black money was found when I hacked into his security system and cameras.

The heist was actually pretty easy, I just had to invade the security system and keep a few cameras on loop along with switching off some alarms. Selina just had to waltz in open the safe without destroying it, which was not that difficult for her, and then erase her traces and walk out.

The hard part was completely erasing my traces of hacking into the network and making sure no one could trace it back to me.

After this uneventful heist I was given 5,000$ to do with as I pleased and I immediately decided to use it in investment. Though the amount wasn't much I just listed out my options. There was The Wayne industries but it is an old corporation which I will be unlikely to get any valuable shares for the pitiful amount of money I have along with the fact that it might put me on Batmans radar. Then there was Luthor Corp, but that was likely to put me on Lex Luthor radar which is even worse. So I decided on the only partially safe option which was a bit cheaper but this industry will grow into a behemoth in time called Star Labs.

This was an investment worth putting as if I was later able to become a shareholder I would have access to observing some of the finest technologies on Earth. Star Labs would also have access to the libraries of other times inaccessible knowledge. Even if this put me on the radars of a few heroes and villains I would have time to grow a bit more before Star Labs becomes the true top of the technological food chain.

So I decided whenever I get enough money I would invest in Star Labs.
