Training Riané

Even though he had given the manual to his Apprentice, it wasn't as if he actually knew the martial arts either. They would be both training together, which was a little off putting for Riané, but she did recall he looked around her age.

Could it be, he wasn't even a master of this art himself? Standing beside one another, a few meters apart, they began to take the standard formations seen within the manual. They were doing basic excises.

He had a basic run down of martial arts from his old life, so the movements were easier to understand. He used the force to enhance his movements and his senses.

He moved his arms fluidly, his eyes ever so often glancing over at his Apprentice who was imitating his movements. A small grin formed over his lips as he did a quick backflip, twirled in the air with the help of the force and the shifting of his own weight, before landing on his feet.

Blinking a few times as she saw this, she would attempt to do the same thing. Instead, it was more like throwing herself backwards, forcing her to do a backward somersault in order avoid damages to herself.

Letting out an aggravated huff of air, she stared up at him as she found herself planted on her back, being unable to complete the somersault.

Clank, the heavy mandalorian iron carapace on her torso came in contact with the ground.

"You need to have patience," Valad whispered quietly as he knelt down by her head, gently brushing the hair off her forehead as the bob cut was sprawled upon the ground behind her head.

Clacking her teeth together, she clenched her hands into fists and nodded lightly at his advise to control her impulses through patience.

"Begin your laps around the hangar, try to avoid stopping. If anything gets in your way, jump over it or slide under it if possible. If it's too dangerous, then you can stop. You have fifty laps." Valad stated as he helped her onto her feet and dusted her off before patting the back of her armored torso.

Riané began her rough jog around the hangar, her feet were quick and soft, but she went for a constant pace. She wanted this to get done rather than expending too much of her energy at once. As she paced herself, she went on to think about what the future might bring.

She knew after this she would be brought back to their room where she was to meditate on today's training. From her understanding, he was training her to be less reliant on the force as he knew it wouldn't always be there.

It was a good idea, but she really wanted to learn how to use the force to a greater extent, much like himself. It appeared that she had the goal of pushing her force abilities to the maximum as soon as she learned more from her master.

During the laps, she began to notice that her master's microscopic presence completely vanished. She couldn't see him around at all. Her lips pursed slightly, but she continued to jog.

Around her fourth or fifth lap, she watched as a group of Naboo delegates entering a J-type transport and leave a shortly after boarding. Panaka had been with them, as it seemed they were heading off to Coruscant.

She stopped just long enough to watch them disappear into the skies above the flood plains below the Palace. A small smile across her lips before she went back to what she was doing.

Soon, around her twentieth lap however, the Queen of Naboo and her Handmaidens entered the Hangar. It was likely she was looking for Valad, but when she spotted the girl jogging around the Hangar, she raised a brow.

"That's his apprentice?" She turned to the Handmaiden beside her who nodded lightly.

"According to Panaka, it is a girl around our age." Rabé responded to her Highness in a respectful tone before watching the girl jogging about. It seemed Riané was almost ignoring their presence.

Padmé let out a light sigh, her face was stoic as often seen in her guise as the Queen. "Wasn't Valad suppose to be in here?" Her question brought the attention of the handmaidens which had followed her here.

Fé simply scanned the area with her eyes, she didn't see anyone else other than maintenance groups working on the N1 star fighters which had been painted a royal blue instead of yellow. Fé and the others quickly took note in the change of colors regarding the fighters.

Fé, Sabé and Eirtaé moved to get in front of Riané in order to talk to her. However just as they were about to speak, they watched as the girl flung herself into the air with the help of the force. Doing a flip in the air, they watched the short-lived acrobatic act until she landed on her feet and continued her job.

"He definitely instructed her to keep moving." Sabé stated with a mused tone.

"Most definitely," Eirtaé concurred with her fellow handmaiden

Remembering their training under Panaka. They assumed that this Valad they knew, had ordered his Apprentice to keep training and to avoid obstructions. Such as people walking in front of her, or ships taking off.

So the three of them gave chase after Riané, adeptly catching up and maintaining the pace as they remain beside her. With their training under Panaka, they didn't have much trouble physically keeping up with the female Apprentice who had merely just started her physical training.

"Um... Hi?" Riané glanced at them through her peripheral vision, now noticing three people keeping up with her without much of a problem.

Moistening her lips slightly, Fé would speak up. "What's your name?" It was a simple question, "My name is Fé." She introduced herself to remain polite to the new resident within the Palace who had been brought by Valad without consulting with the Queen herself.

"Riané," The girl replied without much hesitation, eying the girl's vibrant handmaiden outfit. Though she was distracted by the sight of the other girls, she didn't stray from running in a straight line, but her pace was put off.

Blinking a few times, "My name is Eirtaé, it's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance."

Nodding Sabé would go on to introduce herself to Riané as well. "My name is Sabé." Noticing that she was running at an uneven pace, she smirked a bit. "You should pay a bit more attention to your pacing."

Rainé opened her mouth slightly, focusing more on her jog, taking on a new steady pace to reserve her energy. The four of them began talking to each other, gossiping a bit per usual. Though really they were just trying to figure out if Rainé knew where Valad was.

Rainé could feel this, but since she didn't know, she just contributed to the girl talk as if suspecting nothing. She was beginning to feel as apart of the group.

After the fiftieth lap, she slowly came to a quick walk before coming to a stop minutes later. She knew it wasn't healthy to just stop an exercise, she had been told this by her physical education teacher when she had attended the public schools.

Making her way over to the Scimitar, she would sit down with her legs drawn out in front of her. She leaned against the ramp and closed her eyes, relaxing after the run. Her face was clearly moist from sweat, and her eyes were tired.

As the Queen and the other maidens came to join her, Valad suddenly appeared out of no where. Standing over Riané as if he had been there the entire time. His presence was suddenly released, which made her open her eyes quickly.

He had suddenly appeared and his presence wasn't as microscopic as before.

Riané's eyes were as wide as melons as she stared up at him. "When did..?"

"The entire time," Valad chuckled lightly and looked over at the shocked Handmaidens and Padmé. This man had completely disappeared prior, and yet here he was.

"How did...?" Riané was extremely surprised by this display, and she was definitely curious of how he pulled it off.

"Art of the Small. A radical stealth technique that allows one to control oneself at the molecular level. You will learn this once you've mastered the core force abilities... It'll take some time, so you must train your patience." Valad stated before turning his attention to the Queen, a smile across his lips as he looked directly at Padmé.

"Welcome your Highness," Valad said as he bowed his head slightly in respect before tilting his head to the side. "What brings you here?"

Padmé let a low hum resonate behind her closed lips. "My head of security is now abroad. So I thought it'd be best if we were to be closer during the duration of his absence."

"Understandable," Valad said as he felt his apprentice slowly slipping to sleep, only to nudge her shin with the tip of his boot.

Riané immediately shot awake and looked up at her master before letting out a sigh, slowly standing up. Valad would place his hand upon her shoulder and revitalize her through the use of the force. The perspiration glistened on her skin, a soft glow given to her complexion.

"Revitalization, a form of healing which stimulates and recovers the body from physical and mental fatigue." Valad said with a light nod, another ability which allowed one to not have to sleep as much and train much longer. "With the force its even possible to force someone in a comatose state to regain their consciousness."

The smile on his face was surely prideful, or at least happy about his bonafide knowledge of the force's capabilities. His eyes wandered over towards the outside of the Hangar which seemed to be showing the glowing horizon of a sunset. "It's almost time to retire for the day..."

Looking down at Riané, "Report to our chambers and begin your meditations. You will be summoned once preparations for dinner have been made. Don't get too lost in thought."
